May 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of unicorn startup companies without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Meters (talk) 04:26, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Scott Painter, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The cited source says he is married. Meters (talk) 04:28, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to House of Cards (U.S. TV series). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. We don't discuss rumours, particularly unsourced rumours. Meters (talk) 04:31, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at uBeam. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. We don't link to external sites, we don't replace Wikipedia links with external links, and we don't do it multiple times in the same article Meters (talk) 04:33, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Open central vowel. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Nardog (talk) 07:28, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Jsimbot2298, contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 11:06, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
