Hello[edit]

Hello James, please read WP:RS and WP:V. There are also other guidlines to help such as H:GS. Thank you! Willbb234 (talk) 17:29, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, make sure the references specifically mention the date. Willbb234 (talk) 17:35, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody welcomed you, so let's do it properly...[edit]

@John Maynard Friedman: Thanks John! Still getting to grips with Wikipedia, such as formatting, contributing etc. so thanks for the useful links! User:Jol1411 13:47, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chrome OS[edit]

If you need some info about the behaviour of the UK extended keyboard, drop me a note. I've been thinking maybe that we should have a table somewhere giving the key combinations and their results as I can't find it on the Chrome OS own help pages (!). --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:48, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah seems like a good idea, very strange that the shortcuts are undocumented seeing that Google just shows up results from third-party sites. I should imagine that a table would be very useful to people who are searching for characters, so I'll create one when I'm free next! User:Jol1411 13:52, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: since then, I created such a table, at QWERTY#Chrome OS. Still insane that Google haven't published one. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:43, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

I see that you have given your affiliation, which is good. I assume you are aware of the WP:Conflict of interest policy but thought I should mention it just in case you hadn't seen it and it were to become relevant. I don't know that it has, I haven't looked at your contributions since the early days of your membership. I hope you are enjoying being an Wikipedia editor! --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:43, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi John! Thanks for the heads up. My plan was to write a Wikipedia article on our company (under which the CoI policy would need to be followed), but I figured that the company doesn't have much notoriety/associated secondary sources so I decided to put that on hold. jol1411 (James Livesey) 15:31, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
