ITSM-OPS

Hello

I should be grateful if you could remove the page https://deletionpedia.org/en/ITSM-OPS

I am the author of this page and should be grateful if you could respect my decision. You can verify with Wikipedia, I'm the author of this article.

I have just change the to page put a reference to the page on my wikisite, but you have changed it back.

My wikisite has just been hacked, the pages on my site have been rolledback. This was done using my username and password.

I wanted to communicate with you on your talk page at deletionpedia.org but you have blocked me.

Thanks and regards

Done, but please know that you could have posted on your user talk page there or waited 24 hours, and you could also have used {{Delete}} there in the first place.   — Jeff G. ツ 19:51, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Recieved an innacurate 'Conflict of Intrest' notification.

Hello,

I received a notification stating that I have a conflict of interest and cannot write objectively for my subject, "Timothy Ratajczak". This, however, is not true. I do not 'know' nor am I employed by this subject... I simply have an interest in the works of the writer. I was surprised to learn that he did not currently have a Wikipedia page, except for one in another country and language.

His latest film, Samson, recently premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France. His streaming series, The Encounter, has a Facebook Page with thousands of fans. I believe that a writer of this status warrants the creation of a Wikipedia article.

I will be submitting drafts of more authors and screenwriters who do not have Wikipedia pages, who I also do not know, and I am not employed by. This is simply my hobby, and I appreciate being able to add meaningful contributions to this website which has been a great learning resource for me over the years.

I appreciate your approval of my many hours of hard work. I look forward to seeing my draft becoming a 'Page'!

Thank you again, NoahsArkNGB (talk) 08:12, 29 July 2019 (UTC)NoahsArkNGB

@NoahsArkNGB: Why did you claim that c:File:Tim2019.jpg and c:File:TimothyRatajczak.jpg were your "own work", as if you had photographed them personally?[1]   — Jeff G. ツ 13:31, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

I am currently in the processes of learning Wikipedia, and accidently submitted those as 'my own work'. I have contacted the photographer, Steve Yeager, and he has provided a signed photo release. I will resubmit with the photo release. I apologize for the confusion. Thank you for your help! NoahsArkNGB (talk) 19:45, 29 July 2019 (UTC)NoahsArkNGB

@NoahsArkNGB: You're welcome.   — Jeff G. ツ 19:54, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Updating a picture

Hello, Jeff. First, I want to thank you for all the many things you have done over the years to help make the Internet and Wikipedia safe and secure. I have a very simple problem I am trying to solve. My Wikipedia page is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_R._Patrick I have never made edits to it myself. Other people have and it is up to date with the exception of one thing; my picture. The picture is out of date. I have a newer one and another person tried to update it. I tried also. Neither were successful because it looked like a conflict of interest. I own the picture and have a letter from the professional photographer who took the picture. What steps do I need to take to get my picture updated? Thanks for any guidance. John R. Patrick — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrpatric (talkcontribs) 09:35, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

@Jrpatric: Please re-read this post from yesterday. and then ask any further questions. We will need a scan of that letter from the photographer because transfers of copyright must be in writing under US law. Also, congrats on your 6th grandchild per this edit.   — Jeff G. ツ 21:07, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Nazmee Jannat

Hello Jeff G.. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Nazmee Jannat, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: as an accepted AFC draft, deletion cannot be presumed to be uncontroversial enough for the purposes of speedy deletion. Thank you. SoWhy 06:06, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

@SoWhy: How do you think it would fare at AfD?   — Jeff G. ツ 14:08, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion is explicitly designed to circumvent deletion discussions only in cases where no good faith opposition to a deletion request can realistically be expected. If an experienced editor (which Legacypac was for all my disagreements with them) has reviewed a subject and deemed it notable for inclusion, one can presume that they or others will come to the same conclusion at AFD. Whether this is the outcome of an AFD opened about the subject is irrelevant, it's sufficient that this is a possible outcome. Regards SoWhy 14:47, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
Jeff, sorry, but AfC or not, I'd always decline that speedy. There are claims, there are sources--this is not a candidate for speedy deletion. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 14:10, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

Greetings

Hello, I am following up on the changes you reverted from The Business Careers High School page. You stated those changes as "rmv copyvio cut&paste"! The thing is, I did not copy and paste that content. I typed the curriculum up from the pamphlet of the official school. It is key information others should know. It was spoken in neutral and informational tone as well. Mind elaborating on what I did wrong here? Thank you very much when you do respond! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheAngelWolf (talkcontribs) 17:24, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

@TheAngelWolf: Hi. I have never edited that article, I think you meant the last edit by @Kuru, which removed copyrighted info from the school's pamphlet. Please have an authorized school official send permission for that info via WP:OTRS with a carbon copy to you.   — Jeff G. ツ 17:33, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
I believe you that you re-typed the text from the school's brochures, but that does not release the copyright on the material. As with all of our content, you'll need to re-write it in your own words and be careful not to use close paraphrasing, which will also run afoul of our legal obligations. Alternatively, do as Mr. G suggests above - have the school release the copyright. I do agree that the re-branding of that magnet school is a notable topic, but I did not see enough material picked up in reliable sources to help out. Please hit me up on my talk page here if you need help. Kuru (talk) 18:17, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
