Adding a picture

I was about to answer your question on the help page, but then I saw that you didn't sign it, sinebot did it for you, and you removed the signature. Refusing to have your comments signed is not a sign of good faith. -- kainaw™ 17:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

You should upload your picture to Wikimedia Commons. This is a sister-project to Wikipedia. The reason is that there are Wikipedias for many languages. They can easily share pictures in Wikimedia Commons, but not pictures inside each independent Wikipedia version.

You will need an account on Wikimedia Commons. Go here to create an account.

Then, you will want to upload the file. There is a special "upload your own work" form here. The instructions will do their best to step you through the licensing to ensure that the picture is allowed for every country in the world to use it. -- kainaw™ 17:29, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
