Manual of Style[edit]
Hi, Inrine, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! There are a couple guidelines in the Wikipedia Manual of Style you might want to take a glance at: MOS:ABBR#Initials and MOS:SECTIONCAPS. In a nutshell, the first guideline says that on Wikipedia, initials are followed by a full stop (period) and a space (e.g., "K. S. Ravikumar", not "K S Ravikumar"), and the second one says that in section headings, we only capitalize the first letter of the first word and generally leave the rest lower case (e.g., "Critical reception", not "Critical Reception"). - Also, when altering the wording of sentences, please take care not not change words that are part of quotations, as doing so results in a misrepresentation of what someone else said. Continued violations of Manual of Style guidelines[edit]
Again, please stop removing full stops from abbreviations, capitalizing job titles, and altering quoted content, as you did in this edit. For Wikipedia's purposes, quotations should be faithfully reproduced, job titles and offices are are common nouns and should therefore be in lower case, and initials are always followed by a full stop and a space, even in Indian English articles. Wikipedia's Manual of Style has clear guidelines for each of these, and to the best of my knowledge they apply universally throughout the English Wikipedia, regardless of the local variety of English used in each article. Your editing to enforce Indian English spelling in India-related articles has otherwise been mostly harmless, but your persistence with the specific habits I've mentioned is creating a lot of work for someone else to later undo, and is bordering on disruptive. If you've found another set of Wikipedia guidelines for Indian English articles that you believe takes precedence over the Manual of Style, feel free to comment below and let me know where you saw it. Meanwhile, please respect the consensus that has been painstakingly arrived at by the Wikipedia community and adjust your editing habits to conform to the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Continued Manual of Style violations and introducing errors in quotations[edit]
As you've already been asked twice, please stop altering words that are part of quotes (e.g. changing all instances of the word "movie" to "film" in quoted reviews) and removing full stops from initials and abbreviations, as you did here. The first results in a misrepresentation of other people's quoted words, and I shouldn't need to explain why this is disruptive. The latter is a violation of English Wikipedia's agreed-upon rules of punctuation for all articles, including articles where Indian English spelling is in effect, as has been mentioned above. Some of your edits have been constructive, so I'd hate to see you blocked from editing, but your continued violation of these basic standards and your failure to respond or adjust your editing habits after repeated warnings have become problematic. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
