Ayu

I think you are doing a good job editing the Ayumi Hamasaki page; please keep up the good work and don't be discouraged by anything you see me do or write. The English needs a lot of improvement, as does the content, and there’s so much bombast that it would be to difficult for one person to do my him- or herself, especially in one editing session. I will try to get all the formatting consistent, too—with single titles in quotation marks and album names in italics. Best regards, and happy editing! :) Jim_Lockhart 10:14, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

This user has done a horrible job of editing that article. Entering sneaky vandalism in the opening sentence, such as replacing a reference and saying she has "sold over 50 million records" now why don't you point out where it says that? 220.253.108.204 (talk) 04:33, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I understand. Sorry to assume bad faith. That article has had a lot of "misinterpreted" references which have affected many other articles, and websites (whom refer to the wikipedia) 220.253.108.204 (talk) 06:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Top work on helping to sort out the capitalisation issues on this article. Many other band related articles suffer from similar ALL CAPTIALS or raNDOm CApitALISATIOn. I'm striving to fix them, and it's nice to see someone else also on the case. --Lets Enjoy Life (talk) 03:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

A tip

When creating redirect pages try to redirect to the main article, not another redirect, because the software can't handle loops and just stops at the first redirect. -- Mentifisto 22:23, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I'm please that you are working on the Ayumi Hamasaki's page and your contribution is most appreciated. However, my reason as to why you "pretty much wrote the whole article" is because you don't let anyone else touch it. You don't believe me, just check the history of the page, a majority of it is yours, no? And if someone do edit, you always tend to revert it, even if sometime the edit is good and necessary. I know that everyone prefer their own edits over others (I know I do sometimes), but you must let others contribute as well and compromise with them. You may think I doing this to scold you or whatnot, but I'm just merely suggesting this to you. Thank you. SandylovesMicky (talk) 04:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon game mechanics

Hi there. Just saw the changes you've made to the PGM page, including this:

"The stats inherited by a baby Pokémon produced through breeding depend on the gender of the baby: female baby Pokémon inherit positive stat increases from the father Pokémon, while males inherit positive stat increases from the mother. The only exception to this is when one of the parents is a Ditto; in this case, the stat increases are inherited from the Ditto regardless of the gender."

For my enlightenment (and by extension, that of every non-Pokemon-fan who sees the PGM page), what the heck are "positive stat increases"? SubStandardDeviation (talk) 01:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

BoA footnote 21 False

Read the freaking link and you'll see that it makes no reference to those things! IF you don't remove it I'm going to be doing this all the time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whotheman2006 (talkcontribs) 11:47, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

BoA

There's a reason why it's in katakana! Because it was a reference made casually and a long time ago. Do you want her to be constantly compared to that skank with the baby when she debut's in the U.S? And you call yourself her fan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whotheman2006 (talkcontribs) 08:19, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

You're a TOOL !!!

You probably get your balls kicked around by all of your peers don't you? It's not like I'm adding false information about her, I'm just taking out whats unnecessary. The information wasn't even there a month ago so this has nothing to do with wikipedia(besides what are you the internet brigade?). This is between you and me as the fan's are responsible for adding information. This info was irrelevant so just leave it alone.

I can do this to the end of time so just leave it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whotheman2006 (talkcontribs) 05:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Re deletion of sourced material

Re the continuing deletions of the sourced BoA references to Britney Spears and Brian McKnight, I've posted a formal warning to Whotheman2006: see Template:Uw-delete3. If it continues, we can go up the scale, then ask WP:ANI for a block. Gordonofcartoon (talk) 20:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Up to level 4 {{subst:uw-delete4}} [1]. Next removal can go to WP:ANI. Gordonofcartoon (talk) 01:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar...THANKS AGAIN!

The Editor's Barnstar
For your effectively accurate comments during the peer review process for Croatia national football team. You have made tireless efforts to not only point out prose problems, but to also offer great alternatives and fixups for such. You have really helped this article and shown a great understanding of English grammar. I would recommend you to anyone else. Hope I run into you again sometime after the peer review ends, more comments are still welcome :) Domiy (talk) 03:13, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

SURPRISE!!!

Haha! You gave me one, so I always thought of giving you one in return. I never actually got around to it, until...

The Special Barnstar
For all your hard work on Ayumi Hamasaki. I've seen you slave away at this article for a whole year as of next month, and you've really helped the article a lot. It used to be stubby, unreferenced, and didn't read from NPOV... now it's like magic! Woo hoo! I also noticed that you exert really good grammar and manners for being sixteen. Good luck in all else that you do! Now, back to my Calculus final exam! LadyGalaxy 22:25, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Aaron Eckhart

Hi Ink Runner, listen, I was hoping if you could finish up your PR comments for Aaron Eckhart's article, I would totally appreciate it and thank you for taking the time in review the article. :) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:22, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Alright, works for me. Again, thank you for taking the time in reviewing the article. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:23, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Hey Ink, listen, do you think you might have time to maybe give some feedback on Maggie Gyllenhaal's article? I appreciated your comments on Aaron Eckhart's article, I thought maybe you could help me out with this article, as I'm trying to aim the article to FA status, as well. If your busy, I understand and no hard feelings. :) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Awesome. :) Yeah, its fine. You should probably leave a note or something in the PR, since I opened it last month and I think it may close pretty soon, saying like future comments or something, so the bot will know. Thanks, again. :) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:01, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
The PR closed, but if there are more comments that should be addressed, please don't hesitate to leave your comments on the article's talkpage. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:20, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

A class review

My understanding, and the way i've seen it happen alot in the past, is that somone does it via the page i assesment page i mentioned on the peer review. I don't really know how to do it another way.. and the link you gave me isn't really clear (unless the article is part of the Military History wikiproject)... - -' The Spook (TALK) (Share the Love with Barnstars) 00:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

As far as i know, you comment here on the quality of the scale (Found here) and determine what class the article falls under.

That's how i've seen it done in the past, but i'm not sure 100 percent. - -' The Spook (TALK) (Share the Love with Barnstars) 03:25, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

As for Ayu

Ahh! I've been so busy for the past month: homework, exercise, doctor appointments. That became a couple of family emergencies this week. It just kept going and going. So much that, as a matter of fact, I neglected Wikipedia for about three or four days (as you can see in my edit history) which is quite unusual for me because I'm here everyday. Today I biked and worked on college papers, could barely eat... didn't see your comment on my talk page until about an hour ago. Well, I went ahead and tossed my hat into the ring. You're not the only one hoping for FAC with Ayu. Once again, I applaud you for your good work on this article! LadyGalaxy 04:14, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Ive nominated Croatia national football team for FA again.

Wanted to once again thank you for all your help and alarm you that I've nominated this article again, so feel free to offer any last minute suggestions or comments on the project page. Domiy (talk) 00:16, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

can you do me a favor Ink Runner?

Hi Ink Runner,

Can you do me a big favor??

I'm trying to make a wikipedia entry for Seorak, a former Korean singer and MTV VJ. She's a personal friend of mine. And because she's planning to comeback with an album in the future, I'm trying to prepare her little by little. Do you think you can make the entry look professional, like what you did with the "BoA" wikipedia entry? You did an amazing job on that one. Here is the link to my entry (currently pending approval): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Submissions/Seorak —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davkim (talkcontribs) 21:37, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

thanks so much!! =)

on the bottom of the pending article for her, I put the reliable sources. the last link shows her first album and the song titles in that album. how do i send you a recent picture of her?

My final comments at Ayu's FAC

Hi, I have made my final comments there. Except for prose, I do not think there is any part that the article could honestly fail the FA criteria. The langauge is clear, but not truly engaging to me at certain parts. (However, do note that my own writings have been called clunky; as such, I am hesitant to declare a stance on language in FAs unless it is exceptional.) However, I am not standing in the way of Hamasaki's path to be FA; with the three supports already there before my comments, and the verification of the foreign sources we have gone through, I think there is a high chance it will soon be promoted by the FA higher ups. Of course, if someone took a crack at copyediting it and the results are good, I will change my neutral stance to that of support. Good luck!! Jappalang (talk) 07:48, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

and mine too

Well of course the language is a bit clunky. It has to be, given that everything has to be specifically sourced and much of this has to be in Japanese and much of the terminology must be unfamiliar or explained. But it has long been only moderately clunky, especially when compared with the competition (slick but gushy and uninformative fan/PR productions, etc).

I thought that it really was clunky during the antepenultimate FAC. And I said so, perhaps too harshly, on my assumption that you were a typical FA creator: a university graduate. But I now realize that you must have been 15 or so. That's amazing, as at that age my writing was all over the place (wobbling between careful and waffly, and bristling with odd euphuisms and other would-be impressive words that I'd just noticed somewhere).

But the prose doesn't matter that much. You've got the research and organization down too. And of course the perseverance. If all undergraduates were as good as you, professors would be happier people. Keep it up! Morenoodles (talk) 09:11, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
