Information icon Hello. When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! North America1000 13:01, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, you may be blocked from editing. Shadow4dark (talk) 02:36, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's not disruptive editing . It's just I made this page like that and added air force , so it can be more detailed version for it . I didn't know you had some rules ,about this. In air force page there is editor that is reverting every change on the table except inventory numbers change . I wanted to make better version of it ,that's what wikipedia is about ,to improve it . "Turkey" vs. "Türkiye"[edit]

in spite of the Erdoğan government's proclamation and the United Nations' adoption of their preferred name, the English-language WP:COMMONNAME of this country remains "Turkey", and it is Wikipedia policy to use that name.

Please note that this is not because of anti-Turkish bias or a desire not to keep up with the times; it's that English Wikipedia follows English language usage, not prescriptions by any one group, no matter how official. Please be assured that if mainstream English language use changes (as it did, for example, with "Bombay" changing to Mumbai and "Peking" changing to Beijing), English Wikipedia policy will follow that change, for exactly the same reason that it resists the change now. The WP:COMMONNAME and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names) pages have more information on this.

If you would like to dispute this, please take this up at Talk:Turkey, where the issue has been discussed repeatedly and at great length. Please don't make any similar changes to other articles unless this is first endorsed by community consensus. — The Anome (talk) 15:51, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on TAI Anka-3 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://militaryleak.com/2023/03/29/turkish-aerospace-industries-unveils-new-anka-3-unmanned-combat-aerial-vehicle/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You added the TB2 drone to the equipment listing of the Somali Air Force. I have reverted your edit. The story you cited said the Somali interior minister said "the Turkish government has also joined the offensive and is providing air support."("Turkey's Bayraktar TB2 drones join Somalia's offensive against al-Shabab". Middle East Eye. Retrieved 2024-01-04.) This is the Turkish Government. Buckshot06 (talk) 21:05, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ah ok then . I'm sure that there is Tb2s in Somalia ,but now as you mentioned probably is used by Turkey itself to help Somalian army. IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 22:00, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have undone your edits as they are disruptive. "Countermeasureses" is not a real word. Burak-class corvette is a type of corvette, not a patrol boat. Ecrusized (talk) 14:04, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was probably spelled wrong . I own apology for that.
Burak class corvettes were classified as patrol vessels by Turkish Navy ,thats why they were moved. IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 15:13, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see a source for them being classified as a patrol by anyone. Their pennant number starts with F, like rest of the corvettes, and not P, which is used for patrol boats. IISS 2024 military report also designates the vessels as corvettes. Ecrusized (talk) 09:16, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well we didn't saw the ships yet with changed pennant number. Those ships are very rare to see to be used anyways. It was mentioned one of the sources I put in notes before.
Their are not seen as corvettes anymore ,but like patrol ships which are used to patrol littoral waters.
However we can wait if there is any official statemant about them. They probably will start to retire by then though . In 1-2 years are expected new offshore patrol ships to replace them one by one. IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 07:58, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative name[edit]

Hello. The alternative name you've added to Turkish invasion of Cyprus is actually already in the article as part of a note, but it's made clear that it's a POV, so you should refrain from adding it elsewhere. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:21, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you for the clarification . Sorry in advance then for the revert. IR-TheFirstSoldier (talk) 21:35, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
