Hey man, don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of your work. but you shouldn't really make pages on yourself. Especially if you place it in the see also section in the Machinima article. Makes you look like you created the page purely to promote yourself. What you could do, is make an article on the ILL Clan, and include a section on the team members, instead of doing individual pages. And if you're going to do that, may as well make a page on Strange Company, even if it's just a small start.--DooMDrat 07:59, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for the heads up. I guess its a knee-jerk to several articles that have surfaced lately that have no mentions of my contribution to those articles.

I marked the page for deletion, as well as other references. Thanks again for your help. -ILLRobinson 12:13, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Feel free to incorporate the info into your userpage if you like. There you'll get a little freedom to talk about yourself. Like I said, it'd be better to make an article on the ILL Clan. In fact, I'll start it off. Check the link on this page which should be blue in a few minutes. Add in the details to flesh it out. I'll merge and redirect the your article there. And feel free to work with other articles. I'm sure you could help with the Machinima article, which is quite lacking in the Quake movies section.--DooMDrat 12:16, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have that page done in a moment. By the way, whatever happened to the 6 minutes live performance from the Florida Film Festival? The only one I see on the ILL Clan site is the second one. Same thing with the in-engine versions of Apartment Huntin' and Hardly Workin'. And where's Sorry Mrs. (Ms?) Ioco?--DooMDrat 12:50, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome - thanks for this. Good question on the films. I haven't worked so closely with the ILL Clan lately, so I don't know why they pulled those formats/clips. I know Sorry Mrs. Ioco was yanked because everyone felt it wasn't very good.-ILLRobinson 12:55, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
I had just tagged the Paul Marino page as a csd, and as soon as I did, the link went blue(!) so I removed it again. Anyway, I just wanted to say, I kinda thought your edits to the Machinima page seemed to be a bit self promotory, but I've nominated the Machinima page to be part of the Wikipedia:Computer and video games improvement drive, so the entire page will get some work done on it. But like DooMDrat says above, the Quake Machinima section was totally lacking, and the 'Diary of a Camper' addition is welcomed. - Hahnchen 13:06, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again, guys. DoomDrat, I removed my bio info within the ILL Clan, as I haven't worked with them lately, and feels out of place given that context.- ILLRobinson 13:20, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
