Misinformation/Misrepresentation Subject to Blocking[edit]

Hi. Continue editing articles and pages without due relevant, specific, and legitimate information and sources/references and we'll be forced to tag you for blocking. The recent edits you made on the Frederika Alexis Cull page were all unaccompanied with sources and references. Continue doing this and you'll be tagged for VANDALISM, MISINFORMATION, and MISREPRESENTATION. We'll be nominating you for permanent block if you continue with this kind of unseemly behaviour.

Have a good day.

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Hornets23, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

The |access-date= parameter is the full date when the content pointed to by the URL was last verified to be working and supporting the text being cited in the article. Masai doesn't belong in the List of people from Toronto. He was born in Bournemouth UK, grew up in Nigeria, attended some high school in Seattle, played ball in several European cities and came to our Raptors via Denver. He currently works in Toronto, but he's not from Toronto, even though many of us would like to claim him. It's possible (probably likely) that he will move on to another city in the years to come. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of the New York Mets into New York Mets. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:46, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New York City[edit]

Stop removing major transportation information from the infobox, please. It's standard across major cities that have a dedicated transportation section of the article as the infobox is supposed to summarize the body of the article. See London for another article about a world city doing the same. oknazevad (talk) 14:24, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would advise you to look at how other wiki users removed the transportation from other major cities in the United States. Hornets23 (talk) 01:14, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flags in infoboxes[edit]

Please read WP:Manual of Style/Icons#Avoid flag icons in infoboxes (also known as MOS:INFOBOXFLAG), and desist from adding army flags to people's infoboxes. They aren't beneficial at all and feel more decorative than anything else. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 01:47, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Missing edit summaries[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Atlanta Braves did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button.
