Steve Gottlieb[edit]

Hello, thanks for your input on my new article Steve Gottlieb (amateur astronomer). I left some feedback on the talk page. Assambrew (talk) 19:28, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hillelfrei, Regarding my update on the David Jason wiki page, can you confirm if the problem was the hyperlink to the Stiltz website? Can I re-add it to the list but without the hyperlink? Thank you. Vicky VCREES (talk) 10:33, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi VCREES. Thank you for your message. It appears to me that you are attempting to use Wikipedia to promote a company called Stiltz Home Lift. Using Wikipedia for promotion (WP:SOAP) is a red flag on Wikipedia, and if editors conclude that you are only here to advertise, they will block your account. For example, in this edit, you added a sentence directing readers to the company's website and bragging about how compact the lift is. In the edit you mention in your question, this edit to David Jason, it appears that the only reason you are adding Jason's role is because it is a commercial about that same company, Stiltz. As far as I understand, there is no need to add it to the list, even if you left out the link, because it a small role in a commercial, not a full project. So the short answer is no, please don't re-add it; rather, I encourage you to contribute to Wikipedia in non-promotional ways. Feel free to come back here if you have any further questions. I do appreciate you reaching out instead of just going ahead and re-adding it. Kind regards, Hillelfrei talk 15:54, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you keep editing my page and rolling it back to class Info? Thisislameright (talk) 16:01, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to false Info? Thisislameright (talk) 16:01, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Thisislameright. I'm not sure why I reverted your edit, it looks fine. I probably misclicked, sorry about that. But either way, if you are Frankie Rose, please see WP:AUTO#IFEXIST before continuing to edit your article. Thanks, Hillelfrei talk 16:06, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote the wrong editor of Arwa Damon page[edit]

Sorry I did not see your message to me from April 29, 2020, until now. But your message was in error. My 11 March edit of the Arwa Damon page was an extremely minor grammatical fix, as indicated in the history. In the →‎INARA section: I just corrected "was that" to "that was". I think your feedback was meant for: 2607:fea8:c860:39d5:8d91:b29b:2649:eb4d as the reversion on 29 April in response to 2 edits by that editor on same day was TO my [minor] revision 945085548 on 11 March. Please acknowledge this mistaken feedback on my talk page. Thanks! Perkindd talk 1:54, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Perkindd My apologies, I have struck out the message. Hillelfrei talk 14:04, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to ask why you deleted my additions to the following pages:

social prescribing and disabled facilities grants.

I know about this area of work due personal experience, so I feel I am adding value which is not promotional.

Please can you confirm the issue? And will this impact my editing / adding pages in the future?

Thank you VCREES (talk) 14:23, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to the Czech Republic on Wikipedia[edit]

Edits to the Czech Republic on Wikipedia

Hello Hillelfrei,

I trust this communication finds you well.

I am writing to ask you to help me with editing the original article, should you have the resources. Thank you!

In reviewing my original edits, I have added information and clarified concepts instead of simply removing it.

"Hello, I'm Hillelfrei. I noticed that in this edit to the Czech Republic, you removed content without adequately explaining why. It would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an editing summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake or have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hillelfrei talk 17:18, 27 May 2020 (UTC)"

Here is the text that I would like to appear before the second paragraph that reads "The Czech state was formed in the late 9th century (…), and goes like this:

"The population of the Czech Republic descends from diverse peoples of Celtic, Germanic, and Slavic origin. Recent findings support the evidence that only about one-third of present-day Czechs have Slavic roots."

Image source problem with File:Speak Out board game.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Speak Out board game.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:24, 27 February 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:24, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
