April 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm MrOllie. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 16:26, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Ollie,
your position is not clear, you are not accepting the diversity of information and deleting without any reason. Let's ask to the administrations of Wikipedia regarding your behavour... Hermes1968 (talk) 16:39, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Last part first: Wikipedia operates on a relatively flat hierarchy. We deliberate, and resolve matters as a collective, on the basis of a rough, general consensus. Admins are not arbiters of The Truth™, or the keepers of justice… They are our janitors, plumbers, and roadkill removers who we've delegated extra editing abilities so they can better clean up the carrion and feces around.
As a general matter: we tend to police ourselves, for the most part. Which is what several contributors appear to be attempting here. Please heed the sage advice given – especially when offered in a non-hostile tone. Collectively, we would prefer you become a productive contributor, rather than disruptive.
Please at least familiarize yourself with our introduction (Although, I generally recommend The Wikipedia Adventure as an alternative… And, If you're the masochistic type: you can peruse all of our byzantine bureaucracy at your leisure: WP:LOP). Happy Trails! -- dsprc [talk] 23:48, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 17:39, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not reinsert your text[edit]

Hi, Hermes1968. MrOllie is right about your additions to Olfactory art. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be based on reliable sources, not on your opinion or my opinion, and not on original research. Please read the policy I link to there, and please do not re-insert your text, or any other similar text, in the article, or you will be blocked from editing it. (I'm an administrator here.) Thank you. Bishonen | tålk 21:03, 25 April 2023 (UTC).[reply]

PS. I understand that it's frustrating to find that Wikipedia articles are different from what you had expected — they are much drier and duller, and purely factual, without any enthusiasm or any marketingspeak such as "a unique and exiting genre". But please don't attack editors who attempt to advise you about the principles here. Don't call anybody a "troublemaker" again. Bishonen | tålk 21:11, 25 April 2023 (UTC).[reply]
Hi Bishonen,
There are many, many, many similar articles and no one expressed so agressive response as I could see, so calm down the power of Mr Olly and his "friends" because it looks like some are enjoying of their "grey power"...decreasing the access to the information. Hermes1968 (talk) 17:34, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Content of other articles doesn't matter… Speaking of which: Please focus on the content, not the contributor (see also: WP:AGF, WP:CIV).
As previously noted: The material in question may not meet our quality standards – to wit: WP:Encyclopedic style, WP:TONE, and WP:IMPARTIAL.
WP:EPTALK, WP:Dispute resolution and WP:BRD may be of interest to you. Negotiate and collaborate on a consensus. -- dsprc [talk] 09:27, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DEAR SIRs,
Wikipedia is an encyclopedic source where anyone could share and make it available for others. The information which was placed and subject to the speedy deletion is an article and not an advertising which is concerning a new branch in contemporary art - perfumed art - as a new artistic field visual and olfactive together, no one done before. If it is not possible to share on Wikipedia purely informative source so how to present???? Behind any new idea there is a personality, a company, a structure, so many examples on Wikipedia are presented, by example: the Wikipedia presentation it is exactly on the same direction, you are mentioning Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger.
Looking forward to hearing your point of view. Hermes1968 (talk) 16:58, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
