I applaud you for dealing with IP 109.158.146.23 - that behaviour is totally unacceptable of them. But considering what I saw on their talk page, I think the IP is only here to be disruptive; they obviously aren't taking notice of the block seriously enough. Merging history

Can you help me merge User:KAVEBEAR/sandbox/Hui Aloha Aina with Hui Aloha ʻĀina? I had the article waiting in my sandbox until another user created a stub. The bulk of the content from sandbox was merged into the article so it is important to restore the history of the article from its inception in 2016. KAVEBEAR (talk) 15:35, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

@KAVEBEAR: Done, even though it's not strictly necessary in terms of attribution of authors (which is what history-merging is technically for) (since you were the only editor of the sandbox). Quick question, do we have the capability of uploading the document as a source? Reason being, I am seeing a lot of incorrect information and the cite links used don't work or a loop hole link (they are siting a source that is incorrect as well). For instance, Pauline Oberdofer Minor, the info about her birth date is from the Census (through ancestry.com); if I send the cite the actually web link, it will come up blank. Are we looking for the actual link to the given information (with the info shown) or simply where the info is being stored? Yes, it was. Best concert of my life - which was full of exceptional concerts so far. - I just checked numbers: 82k+ viewers for Moteverdi, 2,6k+ for the Vespers, 2.1k+ for L'Orfeo, - good to know that Brian's work got noticed. I woke up with the idea to make a table with three columns: what vespers liturgy prescribes - what Monteverdi composed - the combination in something like we had, a service, offering antiphons also which he didn't compose because they change with the occasion. It's like prescribed parts of the mass (Kyrie, Gloria ...) vs. the changing ones (introit, offerory). Ear Canal modification

Hello, I need your help with the modifications I made to the Ear Canal article and you reverted. I am in fact a licensed audiologist and ear anatomy is an important part of my job. I was reading the Wikipedia article and I noticed a big mistake, which I corrected. It is the first time I do that on Wikipedia. Sorry to say, I do not understand how this message system works. Even with this message I don't know if I am doing things right, so bear with me.

I checked multiple sources and found some of them indicating one thing and others indicating just the opposite.

Frankly, I'm now at this point where I didn't believe that such a simple thing could change over time.

Removal of citation in kennel coug

The citiation i had suggested was for : "Antibiotics are given to treat any bacterial infection present". Truth table import

@Spinningspark: Because that bug wasn't fixed retroactively. Yes, byte differences in revision histories from the time before that bug was fixed will probably be wrong forever, or at least for a very long time. Long rangeblock

Sorry if you've been asked about this before. I came across an account request on the range 180.190.0.0/16 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) which you've anonblocked for 3 years, and I see Favonian modified your block later to revoke talk page access. Three years on a /16 seems incredibly excessive to me; I couldn't see anything in the IP's contribs that seemed like it would warrant a 3-year block on such a large range, but admittedly I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it. @Ivanvector and Favonian: I was dealing with a user who constantly made borderline-to-disruptive edits to articles about lists of people (e.g. List of French people) and was unresponsive to feedback; see User talk:180.190.255.20. JackintheBox also dealt with this person. The blocks were remarkably effective in stopping the disruption ... but they were perhaps rather harsh, and maybe I should've made them softblocks, at the least. Thanks for the explanations. Favonian, your links to BH and DQ's block log entries gives me another avenue to investigate, thanks for that.

The problem I have besides the block being long and wide is that account requests from the range are getting tagged by ACC volunteers for checkuser followup, and the block is so old now that there's not really anything we can look at to compare, but that's their procedure. For very large and long blocks, if you're targeting anons and concerned about collateral damage, you can add <!-- ACC ignore --> to the block rationale so that volunteers should disregard it and not add it to our queue and back things up, or consider a softblock like you said, if you're after an IP-hopper who you're confident won't just create an account and continue editing disruptively. You can ping a checkuser to take a look, too; we won't report back on connections between accounts and IPs of course, but there's behind-the-scenes stuff we can do. Thanks for your help. Archiving by bot InternetArchiveBot

I noticed that today in change [1] and a number of others you removed an archived link as the original is not dead. This is great. At[2] there is a list of articles in New South Wales which uses this Post office link, most of which have been archived by ‎InternetArchiveBot, This bot archived another one at the same you fixed another at [3] There is also a problem in the archived version does not work because the search function does not work in the archived version. I have referred to a newspaper article in The Sydney Morning Herald, and you have discounted it in spite of the fact that the article is about several world renown celebrities supporting myself, whilst criticising the source publishing instead of reading the article itself. Your revision editing is in fact appalling and ignorant to the extreme. I have now referred the matter to Wikimedia, and will also contact Wikipedia Administration. Bookshare article proposed for deletion

Hi, I'm Jim Fruchterman, a longtime Wikipedia editor with a COI when it comes to Bookshare (even though I'm not CEO of Benetech anymore, I am the founder). It's being proposed for deletion, and for a good reason: it's a terrible, poorly sourced article. Do you have any interest in helping clean this up as a subject matter expert?
