NPOV[edit]

Hello. And a belated welcome. If you have not done so already, please maybe have a quick read through the WP:NPOV and WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV guidelines. And consider, in particular, why describing (multiple) people as "legends" might not be in keeping with those guidelines. Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 18:49, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am a native of the town and both are considered legends by everybody in the town. Gaa 165678 (talk) 19:33, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It also says on the gardeners article that she is an 'Irish garden legend' and she is widely considered a legend in our town and Hughie Emerson is a Laois and Portarlington legend, he scored the quickest hat-trick ever in Croke Park history against Derry and the literally the greatest player in my club's history, so I know who is considered a legend in my own town. Hi. The opinion given in the Lily Champ article is clearly quoted and attributed. I know because I edited it myself years ago to ensure it was/is in line with WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV. The text you added to the Portarlington article was not. Which is why I changed it. That you are trying to convince me (that unsupported/unattributed opinions of yours and others should be read as fact) suggests that you haven't yet fully read the linked guidelines. Or perhaps the WP:BIT explainer. Perhaps take another look. Guliolopez (talk) 10:26, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, I didn't have a look at the guidelines properly yet, thanks for letting me know. Gaa 165678 (talk) 16:58, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Eddie Fitzpatrick has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Absent additional references to indicate or support a claim to notability, the subject here fails WP:NPOL and WP:GNG (local councillors are not automatically notable and that is the only claim to notability made here)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Guliolopez (talk) 11:33, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What improvements should I make to stop deletion, I have a good knowledge on local politics and everything I wrote is factual. Gaa 165678 (talk) 14:21, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Any/all actions you can take are detailed above and in the template at the top of the article. Guliolopez (talk) 15:01, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
