Your uploads[edit]

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tmorningnew.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tmorningnew.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:27, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Skill Force[edit]

A tag has been placed on Skill Force, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Beeblebrox (talk) 05:57, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Forgive me (Leona Lewis song)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Forgive me (Leona Lewis song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Image source problem with Image:Bbcscotlandstudios.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Bbcscotlandstudios.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:42, 18 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:42, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Bbcscotlandstudios.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Bbcscotlandstudios.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 10:09, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Thefamilytitle.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Thefamilytitle.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. Otherwise, it will be deleted in seven days. Melesse (talk) 00:11, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hot sauce.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Hot sauce.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Speedy deletion of Stewart Hannah[edit]

A tag has been placed on Stewart Hannah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

September 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Stewart Hannah, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Blowdart | talk 19:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Peter Barsocchini (writer), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0058302. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. Thank you for uploading Image:Loosedvd.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Notability of Dirty Diegos[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dirty Diegos, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dirty Diegos seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dirty Diegos, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Please do not move pages to bad titles. Your move is considered vandalism and further such moves will result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. mattbr 08:20, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

November 2008[edit]

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally while discussion about it is underway, as you did to Late Night Hollyoaks. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. You need to provide a source before changing the title and moving the page. Please do so before moving this page again. ~~ [ジャム][talk] 19:42, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Wtitle.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Wtitle.jpg.

Speedy deletion of Life Stories[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Tannery, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://latestbooks.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/latest-book-by-sherrie-hewson-the-tannery. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Disputed fair use rationale for File:TheTannery.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:TheTannery.jpg.

Jade Goody name[edit]

I have changed it back to Goody, because although she is now married, we do not know that she has changed her name. Until we know and can source it reliably, it needs to stay as Goody and not Tweed. I hope you understand why I changed it. Sky83 (talk) 13:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed it back to Goody. I am asking you nicely to please not change it again. We do not know whether she will be changing her name to Tweed at all, whether privately or professionally or legally and until we know one way or the other, it should stay as Goody. She will probably change to Tweed, but we are not the ones to make the determination of that. Just leave it for a couple of days and when we know what will be happening, feel free to change it if that's the choice she makes. Katie Price/Andre has little baring on this since she has said that she has privately taken Peter's surname and therefore she is credited as both Price and Andre. Please leave me a message if you have an issue with this, rather than start edit warring on the page. Sky83 (talk) 15:20, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Probably a good opportunity to review WP:RS and WP:BLP; also please bear in mind we will probably have some newish editors who will want to change this and not fully understand those policies. That's what the editor's note is for, to alert them to the effect of those policies. Thanks. --Rodhullandemu 19:35, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Palmqe2.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Palmqe2.jpg.

Thank you. Melesse (talk) 18:44, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Kate Winslet filmography[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kate Winslet filmography, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

There is surely no need for this to have its own article? Will Kate's own page not suffice?

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 21:36, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Campus (nightclub)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Campus (nightclub) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Warning re inappropriate move of Newlywed[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Newlywed, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nancy talk 08:50, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that this category you created is unpopulated (empty). In other words, no Wikipedia pages belong to it. If it remains unpopulated for four days, it may be deleted, without discussion, in accordance with Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#C1. I'm notifying you in case you wish to (re-)populate it by adding [[Category:Americans of Scottish decent]] to articles/subcategories that belong in it.

I blanked the category page. This will not, in itself, cause the category to be deleted. It serves to document (in the page history) that the category was empty at the time of blanking and also to alert other watchers that the category is in jeopardy. You are welcome to revert the blanking if you wish. However, doing so will not prevent deletion if the category remains empty.

If you created the category in error, or it is no longer needed, you can speed up the deletion process by tagging it with {{db-author}}.

I am a human being, not a bot, so you can contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 19:46, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced stuff[edit]

Hi. I see you put back the unreferenced stuff I removed from Hell's Kitchen (UK) and Carol McGiffin. I have removed it again because it is not just unreferenced. It also states that somebody has been lying. This is not something we should ever say unless we can prove it. It could constitute libel. If you can find reliable references then by all means put it back with the references but please leave it out until then. --DanielRigal (talk) 19:20, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Mobologo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mobologo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:07, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Ghostthemusical.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ghostthemusical.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. The article The Tannery has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article lacks independent and non-trivial sources
