I'm Carlos (Ftrbnd). Today I am writing on my talk page for the reason that in 2018 I was permanently banned from the English Wikipedia for reasons that I still do not know.

I am a volunteer mainly in the Wikipedia in Spanish (since Spanish is my native language) and I have made many contributions in the Wikipedia in Spanish, that can be verified by visiting my user page in said Wikipedia in the following link: es:User:Ftrbnd.

I was blocked thanks to a user that I do not know and I have never had contact with him or anything like that. I first registered on Wikipedia in 2017 to volunteer and create, translate and improve articles whenever possible.

Comment (based on my IRC thoughts) — : I'm not sure about Ftrbnd's block, seemingly no CU was done, but their edits on an article named Meresha (which were created by another sockpuppeeter, unrelated to Official..., Ftrbnd's "sockmaster"; see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/OfficialPankajPatidar/Archive#30_January_2018) prompted Diannaa to block you. Here Diannaa states "a third identical article [of Meresha] was created on February 21, 2018 by user: Ftrbnd. I deleted the article as being an unattributed copy if the deleted article, but when I later discovered the article's history, I realized it was created by yet another sock of OfficialPankajPatidar and blocked the user on that basis". But it seems there was no CU done, it was just Diannaa's assumptions. Because of the date, it may be impossible to know, but given the user background (a Spanish language speaker in contrast to the Indian Pakaj Patidar — New Look Senior Secondary School is the name of two schools in India) I don't see a reason not to trust them back. --Bedivere (talk) 04:39, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. Well, you shouldn't have created that account -- that caused more problems than it fixed. But looking at your contributions at eswiki, I see a productive user. Speedy deletion of Mereshas[edit]

The page Mereshas has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from unattributed copy of deleted article Meresha. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. My reading of the AfD instructions say that, while inadvisable, moving an article under discussion is allowed, depending on what your intentions were. I have informed the user who posted the notice on their talk page. Additionally, during the discussion regarding whether to keep or delete the article, I have stated that I have relocated it to a draft in order to improve its quality. I also made it clear that the final decision rests with a user possessing higher privileges, who will determine whether to revert the changes or not.
