News made the rounds today that nearly half of the articles were created by someone who doesn't seem to have that much experience with the language, so a cleanup effort may be needed. Lake infobox updated to Infobox body of water
I noticed you created Ulaan Lake with an old infobox for lakes "Infobox lake", not sure if you are aware the infobox for lakes was replaced with Infobox Body of Water which has more fields - Template:Infobox body of water. Attribution and Google Translate
Hey there. It seems an article you recently created, Caitlín Nic Aoidh, was copied from the Irish language Wikipedia project without proper attribution, as is required per WP:CWW.
Furthermore, the article seems to have been run through Google Translate with a few link fixes, as comparing yer version and the GTranslated Irish page version shows some remarkable quirks, e.g. inconsistent naming schemes, such as Cloich Cheann Fhaola Community School which is a mistranslation of Phobalscoil Cloich Cheann Fhaola; and awkward phrasing, like "On Halloween in 2016, she was made a bob in which she went missing after a 'lightning flash'.", which is a mistranslation of "Ar Oíche Shamhna i 2016 rinneadh bob léi ina ndeachaigh sí ar iarraidh i ndiaidh 'splanc thintrí'." Machine translations such as this should be avoided, as they can be inaccurate and cause confusion (unless if "made a bob in" is a legit English phrase that I'm unaware of). Similar problems of attribution and strange translations can be seen on Joyce Buñuel as well (copied from here by the looks of it). I see such issues have been mentioned to you before.[1]
Attribution should be easy to sort (it should be ideally mentioned in the edit summary, even if a null edit is needed to add the attribution, or posted on the article's talk page), but please take care with the translations, and feel free to consult fluent speakers if ye're unsure CiphriusKane (talk) 13:33, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
