This bot edits based on administrator actions on Wikimedia Commons.

Filedelinkerbot does not delete files. It only removes links to files deleted on Wikimedia Commons by an Administrator. Remarks and complaints about file deletions should go to Commons:Administrators' noticeboard, where they will get proper attention.

Complaints on file deletions will not be answered here!

bot not restoring some undeleted files?[edit]

I noticed that the bot does not restore all files that have been undeleted. For example, File:Eagle Nebula (M16) by NOAO.jpg removed from Eagle Nebula in October 2015 after it was deleted on Commons. It was restored on Commons today as the image is now under a free license. However, the image was neither added back to the article or User:Filedelinkerbot/restored files. Could you please look into this?

How do I upload an image to Wikipedia and not Wikimedia Commons.[edit]

@Utku Öziz: According to the deletion log, the file was deleted because it was a copyright violation, see WP:COPYVIO. That will not be accepted in en-Wiki either, unless you can demonstrate that it falls under the rules of fair use of non-free content, see WP:FAIRUSE. Bot breaks templates that are closed on the same line as a deleted file link[edit]

Please see the edit made by the bot here. The image in the infobox, its caption, and the closing tag for the infobox template (}}) were located on the same line.
