Gwen Stefani!

Hey FanofPopMusic! I am very grateful for all of your edits on Wikipedia, especially edits for music articles! Personally, I am very passionate about all things Gwen Stefani and No Doubt. A WikiProject Gwen Stefani has recently been started and is currently on the hunt for new members! Even if you're not familiar with their work, your substantially HIGH level of expertise is very welcome here! WP would appreciate your membership if it works for you, and we look forward to seeing you there! Thanks so much for your time! Cheers! Carbrera (talk) 02:09, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Thalías album review (amazon)

Great. I think besides you put amazon.com in the box of reviews, you should put his name (like everybody puts Robert Christgau, besides the sites he wrote), because anybody will erased the information again... --88marcus (talk) 22:52, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I also think is better. Thanks!!!! FanofPopMusic (talk) 22:57, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Hey! The mentioned article is currently in the review stages for being a Good Article, and I was wondering if you'd like to add anything to it during this process. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks! Carbrera (talk) 02:29, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi FanofPopMusic since you created the wonderful "Joan of Arc" article now, will you also create the above article? That would complete the nonfecta song articles which Madonna released and got enough notability. I would also say that "Holy Water", "Veni Vidi Vici" and "Messiah" got some traction as well. —IB [ Poke ] 18:39, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the compliment. Definitely I'm gonna do next the "Iconic" article and I also believe that "Holy Water", "Veni Vidi Vici" and almost every track on the album are very important as well. FanofPopMusic (talk) 18:52, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello! sorry to butt in. I've been helping IndianBio working on Madonna related articles. If I may say, I think the title track "Rebel Heart" should have an article. Also from Madonna, I think Candy Shop (one of Madonna's most performed non-singles) and Mother and Father (which I'm working on here) deserve their own article.--Chrishm21 (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello FanofPopMusic, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to I'll Show You (Justin Bieber song) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 18:41, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Removing sources

Please do not remove extra sources that are needed before Billboard updates, as you did earlier at Make Me... (Britney Spears song) by removing the reference from the note parameter of the song's Billboard Hot 100 entry. In future, you will be reverted. The extra source is there for a reason, and Billboard had not updated at that time. It doesn't matter that you cited it in an earlier chart performance section, each instance needs to be sourced. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, FanofPopMusic. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Marking your edits as "minor"

Please stop marking huge additions of content to a page as minor. Please review WP:ME: "A check to the minor edit box signifies that only superficial differences exist between the current and previous versions. Examples include typographical corrections, formatting and presentational changes, and rearrangements of text without modification of its content." You are modifying content quite significantly (like your addition of 5KB of data to "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" here and many of your edits are not minor and should not be marked as such. WP:ME also says: "A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute." An editor could quite easily have taken issue with this edit to "Clumsy" (Britney Spears song). Please only mark edits as minor if you're uncontroversially rearranging text, correcting typos or only making a superficial change of several bytes, otherwise it is misleading. Thank you. Ss112 01:14, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Again, today. This is not a minor edit. It doesn't fit Wikipedia's definition of a minor edit. Expanding a section by adding 350 bytes of data is not a superficial edit. Please stop doing this; you appear to be trying to mislead other editors, even though they can see how much you're adding to the page. Ss112 08:45, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
No, I'm not misleading anything, it is just a lack of attention, and I'm sorry for that, but it's not on purpose. I'm adding new information, important stuff and expanding articles to be better to read ONLY (none of the "minor" situation was to mislead anything and it's pretty clear by the information that I added), the thing that I do with hitting the button "minor" it is just a lack of attention. Orphaned non-free image File:Mayores becky g.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Mayores becky g.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:34, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
