ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 8/Response to Peer Review/Ygplusplus

This week I reviewed the article from tt1887. As this week pretty same with the Week 7, I learned more about how to review other's work and give me more sense about how to review and edit article. The link is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tt1887/Barcode_reader/Ygplusplus_Peer_Review?veaction=edit&preload=Template%3ADashboard.wikiedu.org_peer_review. The tt1887 mainly add the citation which should be added. For the article I edit, the link is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_pizza&type=revision&diff=926879416&oldid=926214451. For the lesson learned, there are lot of articles may lose the citations. We can easily add reliable citations by Wikipedia's advanced function. Ygplusplus (talk) 01:11, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, Interesting edits to the article, and it is now improved. Did you see how it was vandalized after your efforts and quickly reverted by two other editors? FULBERT (talk) 15:22, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 8/Response to Peer Review/Jingw99

In this week's session, I feel peer review helped me think about my editing to new articles. Seeing my peers work in different area of study is interesting ,and give me new perspective about areas I have no idea before. The link to my peer review this week is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Irisnan1009/2019_League_of_Legends_World_Championship/Jingw99_Peer_Review .The difference link to my new article is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Black_sesame_soup&type=revision&diff=926880943&oldid=889282604 . In the process, I feel more comfortable adding new citation to different articles.Jingw99 (talk) 01:27, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Nice edits. FULBERT (talk) 15:28, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 9/Moving your work to Wikipedia/Ygplusplus

This week I learned how to use sandbox as a tool to help us either edit article or create a new article. One thing that I learned from training module is that the we need divide small pieces for editing an existing artcle and make summary at the end. The reason for doing that is it's help reader know which part you edit and understand the change you made. Ygplusplus (talk) 01:28, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, Any edits on this one, too? FULBERT (talk) 15:55, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 6/Plagiarism/Jingw99

In this week's lesson, I have learned that the copyright and plagiarism is very important. Additionally, how is rephrase a citation is crucial when adding a new citation. Restructure a new sentence seem be the best choice. Here is the link to my this week's article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofu . This is the comparison page https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tofu&type=revision&diff=926836533&oldid=924957106 . During the process, I have learned a lot articles don't have proper citations, and there is a lot we can help with.Jingw99 (talk) 00:14, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Good points. FULBERT (talk) 23:17, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 7/Peer Review/Jingw99

During this week's lesson, I found the tutorial sessions are very helpful.I can go back to see how to go through the process at anytime during my peer review. The link to my peer review is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ygplusplus/Coffea_arabica/Jingw99_Peer_Review . The difference page for the new article I added more citation is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tong_sui&type=revision&diff=926875150&oldid=919588579 . I think peer review is very helpful to my peers and myself. Peer review help editors to rethink about their work and make changes accordingly.Jingw99 (talk) 01:00, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 7/peer review/Ygplusplus

From this week, I learned how to peer review other's work. With the standard that wiki provide, it's very clear and help us understand how the process going through. With that process, it also helps me understand more about how to edit the article on the wikipedia. The person I reviews is from Rayray411. And the link for my peer review is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rayray411/Working_memory/Ygplusplus_Peer_Review. Fot the article I reviewed and edit, the link is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Peet%27s_Coffee&type=revision&diff=926830816&oldid=924831728.For the lesson I learned, Wikipedia provides publics a lot of resouces, it is hard to keep every article on date. It's our responsibility to keep files up to date with neutral attitude. Ygplusplus (talk) 00:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, I reverted your edit as press releases are done by companies themselves, and thus cannot be sourced as credible as it is based on their own claims about themselves. Can you find another source for this besides the company itself? FULBERT (talk) 23:16, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Hello professor. I have changed the source to the qsrmagazine. The link for that change:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Peet%27s_Coffee&type=revision&diff=927355206&oldid=927355045. Thank you so much for your helping. Ygplusplus (talk) 23:57, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, A better source! FULBERT (talk) 15:57, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/ Final Review/ Nul90

When I review an article i try to focus on the content, grammar, one sided opinions and images. Based on the articles that I have reviews there weren't much of a grammar issue. What I evaluated the most was adding more content to the articles. I have been reading a lot around climate change and I felt that I should add the resources that supports the comments that were made. I also focused on making sure that the information is factual that there isn't a one sided opinion being stated. These articles are not blogs this way we want to avoid saying how we feel about the topic. Also I enjoyed learning how to add images to the articles that I felt were appropriate to give it a better visual. Nul90 (talk) 14:59, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Nul90, Good points on all of these, and yes, as they are not blogs personal opinions should not factor into them. Nice work. FULBERT (talk) 16:05, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 11/Polish Your Work/Dragonroll

I added a citation, reorganized the article, and updated a few statistics in the table because the data was too old. I learned ways to improve an article and make it more credible and easy to understand from the Wikipedia editing process. Also, when I read articles online, I have the ability to process the information critically from the articles. Dragonroll (talk) 22:37, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

Dragonroll, Can you please provide a url to your diffs? FULBERT (talk) 16:00, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT,https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Women_in_engineering&type=revision&diff=927969808&oldid=926361920, here is the link to the difference. Dragonroll (talk) 23:34, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
Dragonroll, Great. Current now. FULBERT (talk) 16:35, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Stubs

Please remember that all {{stub}} tags go at the bottom of the article, not the top (WP:ORDER) and take care not to add this tag to an article like Lagueria Davis which already has a specific stub tag. Thanks. PamD 16:58, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

PamD, Thanks for the feedback on this. Interesting, as I used the NPP process for inserting that tag and that is where the tool added it. Will have to check in about why it put it there. FULBERT (talk) 10:58, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 9/ Did you know/ Nul90

I liked the DYK feature because it bring the attention to the article. I as able to nominate my article and point out an interesting fact of DYK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Climate_change/ I can see this feature being used when you want to share an important fact with someone based on the article you found.Nul90 (talk) 14:27, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Week 11/ Expand Article/ Nul90

I have assigned myself multiple articles and now that I learned how to add images i have been reviewing each article and making changes by adding images. week9/movingworkWikipedia/irisnan1009

This week, I went over week 9's learning module. Even though I don't have anything to create and add on Wiki on my mind now, these information are very important and useful for me when I want to add more content or create a new Wiki page in the future. I learned that before I add my content on to the Wiki page, I can always check article's Talk page first because there could be some discussion already going on with the content I am adding. Irisnan1009 (talk) 10:22, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

Irisnan1009, Please catch up with the online WikiEdu training sessions and ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 19:22, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT,Hi Prof, I have completed the training, please check. Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Trance_music
Irisnan1009, I have checked, and you still owe two more of the training sessions. Please complete and then ping me again as a new section on my current Talk page. Please also link back to this discussion. FULBERT (talk) 16:39, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week11/Expand article/WILL.I.AMMJ

In order to expand my article, I feel adding another picture in this article is much more powerful than adding a citation. I found a picture that look like the whole difficult journey of LGBTQ history. Here is the link https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=LGBT&diff=928697185&oldid=927969638. Picture sometime can strongly describe the context where I am happily that I learned this feature in the wikipedia instruction.WILL.I.AMMJ (talk) 02:02, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

WILL.I.AMMJ, Nice addition. You may find related information of interest in the portal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:LGBT and the User Group https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_LGBT%2B/Portal here on Wiki. FULBERT (talk) 19:46, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Week12/Final review/WILL.I.AMMJ

I truly appreciate that our professor have assigned us the extra credit for learning editing of Wikipedia. Before I've learned, I generally use the wikipedia to search some academical puzzles. To be honest, I do not even know that everyone can edit the wikipedia page by conveying unbiased opinion. This is incredible because by combining the diversified opinion from all over the world, the articles can be pretty much objective. When I'm learning the edit of wikipedia, I found out I can add more content, citation, images, media, and etc. besides revising the the minor mistakes, such as grammar or vocabulary. I agree with my classmate Nul90 that the wikipedia is not like a personal blog because it is more like a worldwide platform to show the unbiased and complete concepts that benefit everyone. I do appreciate that.WILL.I.AMMJ (talk) 02:14, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

WILL.I.AMMJ, Thanks for sharing this part of your experience, and I hope you continue editing. Please ping me if you ever need more help or support in editing Wikipedia. FULBERT (talk) 19:47, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 10/ Add image/ Nul90

This feature was my favorite because you can actually click on the article and it provides options for images you can use. Also this way you don'y have to worry about copying someones work. It was also every simple to publish it. I think images speak louder than words and when you add images to an article it brings the article to life.https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Global_warming&type=revision&diff=927901548&oldid=927804485Nul90 (talk) 14:39, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Nul90, I see your edit was reverted. Any thoughts about that or ideas about adding one that does add to the article? Feel free to reply to this first here before considering other changes there. FULBERT (talk) 16:03, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT The assignment was to add to an image in the page. I am not sure why it was reverted. I was able to add an image that was provided from the Wikipedia. Please let me know what would be my next stepNul90 (talk) 21:19, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
Nul90, It seems the image did not add much that was not already present in the article. How about trying to add another image to either that article or <hint> to another, related article that does not have any images in it? FULBERT (talk) 19:18, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
Nul90, Ping me here again when done. FULBERT (talk) 19:19, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_economy_of_climate_change?action=edit I was able to add an image here. Thank you professor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nul90 (talkcontribs) 16:57, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 9/Move Your Work to Wiki/Jingw99

In this week lesson, the training module taught me how the sandbox can be helpful when editing the existing articles. I also think create draft in the sandbox is very useful. It help the user to polish the article well before putting out to the mainstream. I enjoyed using sandbox as a temporary place to hold my content before publish.Jingw99 (talk) 22:57, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Great! Current now with this. FULBERT (talk) 16:43, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 10/Add Picture/Jingw99

In this week's lesson,I used the wiki picture database to add a picture for one of the article that I edited before. I feel the wiki picture database is very helpful. It allows me find pictures that I don't have to worried about the copyright issues. The difference page for my new picture addition is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tong_sui&type=revision&diff=928987346&oldid=927221753 I think add picture is very persuasive for viewers to understand the article. Jingw99 (talk) 23:25, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Nice add that has remained and even been improved upon. FULBERT (talk) 16:43, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 11/Polish Article/Jingw99

In this week's editing, I add an another picture to one of my articles. In this week's article, the content have a lot diversity, however, the information can be very repetitive from a viewer's standing point. So I added more picture so that it can be more clear, and the viewer can tell the difference by just looking at different pictures. The link to my editing is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tofu&type=revision&diff=928989278&oldid=928638438 I think pictures make content more readable not only applied to this article but other articles as well.Jingw99 (talk) 23:44, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Nice work on this one. FULBERT (talk) 16:43, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/Final Review/Jingw99

In this semester of editing on Wikipedia, I have gained access to multiple Wikipedia features I have no idea before. Adding citations and picture is two things that I found most interesting in the process. Citation is a wonderful tool to keep Wikipedia unbiased and accurate. Peer review is also very interesting. I was able to see what my classmate's interest are, and show me area I have no idea before. I used to only take Wikipedia as a place to look for things I don't know. Now, I have appreciated Wikipedia more for all the editor's effort putting into different articles. Overall, I think editing Wikipedia is a valuable experience, and definitely taught me a great lesson.Jingw99 (talk) 00:06, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Jingw99, Thanks for sharing this feedback, and I hope you continue with this. Please ping me in the future if you ever need more help or suggestions related to editing all things Wiki. FULBERT (talk) 16:44, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 10/Add image/Ygplusplus

This week I learned how to add image. There are different licenses that you could follow in wikipedia. In addition, we can add our own image on wikipedia. Also, wiki provides us several useful engines to search image which is really helpful. The link for the article I added an image is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_pizza&type=revision&diff=929007848&oldid=927961639. Ygplusplus (talk) 02:17, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, I see your picture was reverted, in part perhaps because it showed the Canadian bacon but was not on a pizza. Can you find one that has it on pizza and re-add? FULBERT (talk) 16:47, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week11/Expand Article/Ygplusplus

For this week's practice, I reviewed the previous articles which I assgined before and found one article missing the citations. After several practices, I feel I am more confident when I edit the article on the wikipedia. THis time I found the proper source for this article's citation which is from science article. The link for this article I edit is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Coffea_arabica&type=revision&diff=929010458&oldid=928937347. Ygplusplus (talk) 02:40, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, Nice addition. FULBERT (talk) 16:48, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/Final Article/Ygplusplus

In this semester, I know more internal side of the wikipedia. Thanks professor for providing this opportunity to us. I learned how to evaluate the articles based on the guideline that wiki provide to us. Also, I learned how to edit articles in wikipedia. Before, I used wiki but never know how to be an participant. Now, I feel confident when I am editing the articles in wikipedia.Ygplusplus (talk) 02:48, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Ygplusplus, Great thoughts on this, and please let me know if you ever need Wiki assistance in the future. FULBERT (talk) 16:48, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/Final Article/Dragonroll

I read through the checklist and check my revision according to the checklist. In general, the article has a clear first sentence and a good title. The lead section summarizes the whole article after my editing. When I add citations, I tried to use neutral words and not present my personal views. Also, I wrote in easy language, so it should be easy to understand for the non-expert. The picture that I found online has been shared to Wikipedia Commons. Dragonroll (talk) 06:11, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

Dragonroll, Nicely stated. FULBERT (talk) 19:20, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT, Have you checked my work for week 11? Is there anything that I need to change?Dragonroll (talk) 07:18, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Dragonroll, All current now. FULBERT (talk) 17:57, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week10/Add an image/Tt1887

In this week, I updated Digital Image Processing a little bit more. I added some links that refer to other articles that can help readers understand more about this area. The diff link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Digital_image_processing&type=revision&diff=927279243&oldid=927268677 I have learned how to add images and files to improve the articles. Many images we usually found online cannot be used because of the copyright. I am glad that Wikipedia provides some websites: Creative Commons Search and we can use this website to grab the image with proper licenses to put on Wikipedia. I think I am getting more and more comfortable to edit and write Wikipedia. Tt1887 (talk) 16:00, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Tt1887, Nice additions, and good to hear what you learned about using images in this capacity. FULBERT (talk) 18:02, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week11/Expand article/Tt1887

This week, I keep revising the article Digital Image Processing. I improved sentences from the lead and make it more linked to History and Applications. I give the reasons why this topic is popular in recent years. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Digital_image_processing&type=revision&diff=926134769&oldid=923809482 From the process, I learned that some improvement may not be made if we only read and revise the article once. This is a build-up process. Every time we read the article; we will come up different new ideas to improve the article. The more we learn and revise the article, the better the article will be. Tt1887 (talk) 16:04, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Tt1887, This sounds like you learned something potentially valuable here. FULBERT (talk) 18:02, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/Final Article/Tt1887

This week, I go over the final review checklist and make sure everything from the article I revised to match those requirements. Through those 12 weeks of study, I learned how to choose and evaluate an article. I also learned how to find and revise the article properly. I have edited 5 articles in this semester. The article I focused most is the digital image processing, I added many contents to the history section and make the article easier to read and attract readers comparing to earlier versions. I have also peer-reviewed two students’ articles and evaluate their revisions. Reviewing others’ revisions can help me learn how to revise an article from different directions and aware of the potential mistake I could make. Overall, the Wikipedia lessons from this semester are enjoyable and useful for me. It provides an opportunity for me to evaluate an article and revise an article on my interested areas. I also learned how to determine which information is trustable and which information needs to be revised. This is very important for readers from all over the world to keep formatting, improving, updating the article. Tt1887 (talk) 16:05, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Tt1887, Nice work learning how to edit, and I hope you continue with this in the future. Let me know if you ever need assistance with this after our course concludes. FULBERT (talk) 18:04, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week10/Add an image/WILL.I.AMMJ

I am surprised that I learned how to add an image on the Wikipedia article page. I added an image on this article. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gay&diff=928695415&oldid=920966882. I believe that sometimes a picture could convey more information than some plain words. However, we should be very careful when citing the image on the page, because most of them have copyrights that we can randomly post in somewhere. But from the wikipedia instruction, I clearly know where to find a picture to legally post. WILL.I.AMMJ (talk) 01:49, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

WILL.I.AMMJ, Please assign yourself that article on the dashboard and reply to me here. All will then be current for this. FULBERT (talk) 19:31, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Week9/Did you know/WILL.I.AMMJ

The "Did you know" feature actually brings some attention for other wikipedia users. I actually nominated a topic which I think it is worth to let people know about it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Did_you_know_nominations/LGBT. Whenever people share their opinion on the article, I can discuss with diversified people about their opinions.WILL.I.AMMJ (talk) 22:58, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

WILL.I.AMMJ, I saw your nomination, though it was rejected. Can you look at what the reasoning for the rejection was and your reply here for what to do about it as a next step? FULBERT (talk) 19:28, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
FULBERT, Hi Prof. I don't really understand the reason that they reject the case. Their comment is as following "Hi! I saw that you nominated the LGBT article for DYK, however the article doesn't currently qualify for DYK status. In order to qualify it would have to have been expanded to five times its original length, be a new article, or have achieved Good Article status in the last week, which isn't the case here. I've closed out the nomination as a procedural close, but I did want to say that I do like that you are so excited and passionate about editing!" Could you please tell me what should I do? Thank you Prof.WILL.I.AMMJ (talk) 20:53, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 9/ Did you know/ cj1447

In this week, I read the article of the Pokémon again because I am interesting about this game. By study in this week, I know that if I want to add something to the Wiki page, before this work, I can go to the Talk page and read someone’s discussion, then I can do the redetermination and post it. Here is the edit for the work in Pokémon: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_(video_game_series)&diff=929464961&oldid=928809869 Cj1447 (talk) 00:39, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

The link is: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Trance_music&diff=929471757&oldid=927477609 I know that everyone should be very careful when citing the image on the page of Wiki, so I use the CC Search to find my image.Cj1447 (talk) 01:45, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Week 12/Final Article/cj1447

In this semester of editing on Wikipedia, I gain a lot. I study a lot of the skills about the Wikipedia. I can correct grammatical errors, add the reference for the article and add the image for the article. The reference is the important for the article in Wikipedia. That will make the article more unbiased and accurate. When I read the article from Wikipedia, I found that the article is objective, and it will change by everyone. That is the worldwide platform for everyone, it will show the unbiased view for the world. That all my get in this semester. Cj1447 (talk) 03:12, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Cj1447, Let us only hope and continue to promote articles that are fair and unbiased within Wikipedia. Current. FULBERT (talk) 18:09, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week11/Expand article/cj1447

In this week, in order to expand my article for the Pokémon, I want to find some powerful citation. So, I read the detail of the Gameplay, it needs to add the citation in it. Here is the different between it: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_(video_game_series)&diff=929481954&oldid=929464961 After did this in the article, I learn that the most important for the article is the reference for every sentence. So, I did a lot job for the citation. Cj1447 (talk) 03:24, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Cj1447, Nice additions. FULBERT (talk) 18:10, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

week 9/Did you know/Boboandy

This week I reviewed the article about Pokeman I edited in the past weeks. I am a huge fan of Pokeman and I was really happy that I could do something to help people know better about it. This week I saw one of my classmates also joined in and made some edits to the article. I was really happy about this. That makes me feel like I am not alone! By the way, I finished assign myself the article I did on the week 8 assignment. Boboandy (talk) 14:56, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Boboandy, Great thinking on this and glad you are participating in the editing. FULBERT (talk) 18:18, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Here is the change I made:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_%28video_game_series%29&type=revision&diff=929547951&oldid=929481954. Boboandy, Good addition. FULBERT (talk) 18:51, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

week 11/Expand Article/Boboandy

This week I continue working on my pokemon!!! I find there is a citation needed to support that pokemon green is only released in Japan. I did not even know this part before. I feel I really learned a lot. I am not only helping and teaching others, but I am also learning from other editors. Here is the change I made: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_%28video_game_series%29&type=revision&diff=929549856&oldid=929547951Boboandy (talk) 15:26, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Boboandy, It helps when the content of your editing is something you are interested in, and I encourage you to continue monitoring this article even once the course is complete. FULBERT (talk) 18:51, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

week 12/FinalArticle/Boboandy

Time went so fast. I really enjoy the work in Wikipedia and I learned a lot about how people using it. I start to know each article I read before was created and improved by different editors. They work really hard and try to provide accountable resources. I am also proud that I could be one of them and help people know more about the game I love. It's hard to describe my feeling and this is not the end. I will keep working in editing and try my best to help others. Thanks!!!!!!Boboandy (talk) 15:32, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Boboandy, I hope you continue editing, and happy to help in the future if you ever need assistance. FULBERT (talk) 18:52, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week10/add an image/irisnan1009

This week, I learned how to add an image to the article. Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2019_League_of_Legends_World_Championship&type=revision&diff=929600979&oldid=927993030The process is more complicated than I first thought actually. I have to pay attention to the copyright of the image. It is a good choice to upload photo taken by oneself. A good picture with the article can always make the article more vivid and lively.Irisnan1009 (talk) 22:33, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Irisnan1009, Please complete the Wikipedia trainings and then ping me and I will review. FULBERT (talk) 18:54, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Week12/final review/irisnan1009

I feel lucky that I enrolled in this class and got a chance to do this Wiki extra credit. It is been a fun journey going through this Wiki learning module and I have learned a lot from it. Before I took this course, Wikipedia feels distant to me. It is merely a source that I can gain knowledge from. Now I feel close and involved with Wiki and I am part of it. Not only can I gain knowledge from Wiki, but also I can make contributions to it. The most part I enjoyed is add citations and images to articles. I feel that I can use my resource to make Wiki better. I will definitely keep editing Wiki and make contributions in the future. Irisnan1009 (talk) 23:49, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

week11/expand article/irisnan1009

This week, I went through all the articles I have edited. Trance music is my favorite topic. So I decide to polish this article by adding an image to it. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Trance_music&diff=prev&oldid=929611057 Now that I have learned how to add image to the article through last week's learning process, I am more confident adding image to the article and I am sure I will keep doing it in the future.Irisnan1009 (talk) 00:24, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
