AfD

Hi. Thanks for helping out with AfD closures. If you would like to close non-controversial AfDs, please read everything because you may have missed something as you did here. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:45, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

From what I can see, it doesn't look like I missed anything - {{R from school}} redirects to {{Redirect from school}}, which is what I used. I might not be seeing everything, though. WikiPuppies bark dig 00:59, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
You did miss something because I added the R from sch template a few moments ago. There was a special note about in the AfD ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:23, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I see what you mean. I guess I'll have to overcome my dislike of template redirects in articles. Thanks! WikiPuppies bark dig 01:27, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
It's not a template redirect in an article. What that little template does is quite important. Among other things it populates a category that is used for statistics. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:14, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
You seem to have misunderstood what I meant - I was saying that I tend to use the full name of a project page/article/template when I'm editing. I didn't mean that I thought {{R from school}} was just a template redirect. WikiPuppies bark dig 03:50, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Operation Tight Screw (2nd nomination)

I am curious as to how you came to a keep conclusion? Given Pakistan's interior minister has said this is not going to happen[1] It was announced and then, nothing. This operation is entirely fictitious. Please look at the link I gave on the AFD to LWJ[2] This operation has been talked up since spring of 2010, it has yet to actually begin. For instance “This is the most delayed campaign in the history of modern warfare.” Darkness Shines (talk) 16:57, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

I believe that there was a clear consensus among the participants to keep the article, regardless of whether or not the operation actually exists. That issue would be more appropriate for the article's talk page, in my opinion. WikiPuppies bark dig 17:01, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
And this from four days agoEarlier this year, around the time of Eidul Fitr, speculation was rife that Operation Tight Screw – the code name of Pakistan’s so-called planned offensive in North Waziristan – would commence soon after the holidays. Now another Eid is upon us, but no military operation in North Waziristan is on the horizon. Consensus is not a vote, ans not a single one of those voting keep provided a single link to prove this is happening, or that it is notable. I shall have to take it to DRV. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:04, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
I realize that consensus is not a vote, but it still appears that there was a consensus in this AfD. And as for the editors who voted keep but didn't provide links, they didn't have to - it appears that the links they "used" are listed as references in the article. WikiPuppies bark dig 17:14, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Well that makes no sense to me, the first vote says "The first two references do not mention the title of this operation at all" I have brought it to DRV for wider community input. Thank you for explaining your reasoning, it is appreciated. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:20, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

weirdness

Why can't you guys post pointless stuff on Facebook rather than being pointless on wikipedia? Sorry, I just watched a Jack Nicholson movie, I've still got. Little bit of him in my mind as I edit this on my ipad2 99.45.96.255 (talk) 08:28, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 13 - Concern over IP address

I don't have a wikipedia account, considering how much i use it i really ought to, but as of now i don't. That being said, i have never added anything on the page for Americas Next Top Model Cycle 13. I would never falsify or post inaccurate information or any information without a reliable source, especially on a site whose service i benefit greatly from, as well as millions of others. On a lighter note, i hate that show. I would like to know how Wikipuppies came to this conclusion and fix this mistake because i take it seriously, as it would mean my computer as well as personal information is at risk. i hope you address this issue in time and thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.52.252.19 (talk) 15:39, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
