A tag has been placed on Destiny's Child World Tour, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 24.22.122.180 10:31, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --24.22.122.180 10:40, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Little context in Back to Basics: Bonus DVD

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Back to Basics: Bonus DVD, by Matticus78 (talk  contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Back to Basics: Bonus DVD is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Back to Basics: Bonus DVD, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:27, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Huh? I did not upload any pic? I don't know how. BritandBeyonce 10:03, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add page protection templates to articles that have not been protected by an administrator, as you did to Good Girl Gone Bad. It may not be vandalism but is misleading. To request for an administrator to protect a page, make a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Thank you. Resurgent insurgent 07:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh, sorry for that. Yah, i've been repeating putting such tag because I've observed that some unestablished users were messing the page with inappropriate and redundant editing. Actually i don't know that I have to ask first administrators about this "protections". Thank you. BritandBeyonce 06:15, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Userboxes

Hi there, I think you're creating userboxes in the wrong name space - you've been making them in User: namespace which is reserved for people's own personal userpages. Instead of putting it in User:BeyoncéKnowles you should put it in Template:User BeyoncéKnowles. You can then include it on your userpage as {{User BeyoncéKnowles}} (note the space, rather than the colon there), and when people look at the code they can easily see that it's a userbox template. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 12:53, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Name change

I don´t agree with the title change of Britney Spears's fifth studio album to Piece of Me without showing a reliable source for the information. It may be correct, but People Magazine is only reporting it as a possible title. I don't know how to revert this change, so am asking for your help. Thanks. Jeffpw 07:44, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok, changed already. BritandBeyonce 07:52, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Non-free images in Userpages

I recently removed a non-free image from your userpage, since Wikipedia policy does not allow such uses. I did leave a link so that users can still see the image you uploaded. I hope you don't mind. For more info, see Wikipedia:Non-free content. Thanks. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 21:11, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Big girls don't cry

If u know how to request protection please do so for the article, "Big girls don't cry (song)" especially for the "Chart Performance" section. As I said before that section continuously changes, and needs to be under semi-protection for a while. Other people are also getting sick of reverting others edits which were not appropiate for that section. Thank you. 220.101.48.54 (talk) 8:10, September 15th 2007 (UTC)

Ok, i'll do it for you. BritandBeyonce 06:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hale Twilight Album.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Hale Twilight Album.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Ne-yobecauseofyou.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Ne-yo Because of You Cover2.jpg. The copy called Image:Ne-yo Because of You Cover2.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 08:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I was actually asking Wikipedia:Media copyright questions on how to delete redundant photos. Thanks for tracking. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 09:04, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationales

So what's wrong with my fair use rationales? You reason is wrong, because my rationales are valid. Daniil Maslyuk 11:08, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Please consider this [1]

BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 11:12, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

You don't need to reply here, you may reply at my talk page. What you said did not explain anything. My rationales still have article names is them, and if they don't, then I simply didn't manage to update them yet. So the reason "10c" is obviously wrong. By the way, I'm going to tag all the images uploaded by you lacking sources with speedy deletion. If you don't provide a proper reason for tagging my rationales as invalid, that'd be vandalism. Daniil Maslyuk 11:20, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
And I think I know why bot added that tag to your image. You wrote "Twilight" in the article field, while it in fact was used in the "Twilight (Hale album)", but you obviously figured that out by yourself. Daniil Maslyuk 11:25, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
No, it is not the same. Bot added that tag to your image because the fair use rationale was made for the article "Twilight" and the image was used in the different article, namely "Twilight (Hale album)". My fair use rationales did have properly filled article fields. So what you did was just wrong. Daniil Maslyuk 11:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Well I added a different fair use rationale and the image wasn't tagged after that. Daniil Maslyuk 11:35, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
I'll repeat what I said again: the bot was right, your fair use rationale was invalid, because you wrote "Twilight" in the article field, while the image was used in "Twilight (Hale album)". So yes, according to 10c, your fair use rationale was invalid because it was made for another article, not for the one the image was used in. Bot was right, I repeat. Can you explain adequately why you tagged my images? Because bot did so to yours? Your fair use rationale was invalid, and my fair use rationales are valid, because they are made for the articles the images are used in. Daniil Maslyuk 11:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
I read your talk page and then looked at the other two images' histories. No surprise that they were tagged. Not only they were lacking fair use rationales for the articles they were used in, but they were lacking any kind of fair use rationales at the time of tagging. Daniil Maslyuk 12:12, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Would you be so kind...

...as to not leave any more messages about image source problems about fair use images. In nearly all these cases, I am not the original uploader; I just happen to be the person who uploaded downsized versions of them (the originals being deleted, along with the name of the original uploader). Thanks. :) Lewis Collard! (rock me mama like a southbound train) 16:12, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Indeed I am the only user in the history, and you did nothing wrong by notifying me. I told you so that you could save me some annoyance in the future if you decided to tag more images by me (and given the hundreds I've resized, it's more than likely that you'll come across a few). :) Love, Lewis Collard! Gimme More

The video got leaked to YouTube. Here it is; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMONDcp3H1U Jeffpw 11:07, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, it definitely needs a fair use rationale, and even then can only be used for discussion/illustration of the Gimme More article. Jeffpw 11:20, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I've never commented on your tagging. That comment above is not by me. Jeffpw 11:26, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Re SC

I'm not the one that posted those rankings, I just restored it because someone changed it and still there was no reference to the changes. On the MYX rankings I know them for a fact although I know that is not enough as a source. As for the Philippines Top 100 I don't know who put them and where it is based from. Templating image resizers

Hi, I commented at User talk: Collard. Please be careful about templating folks who do the highly necessary image resizing work, thanks. Videmus Omnia Talk 20:22, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Please stop removing the U.S. chart position. Template:Infobox Single specifically states that the artist's home chart should be included in the infobox. 17Drew 07:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I did. The first linked to Template:Infobox Single. This one linked to WP:SONG. Both say, "The chart positions included should probably be for the artist's home chart". 17Drew 07:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
So...? It doesn't say the home chart should only be included if it reached the top forty on it. It says the home chart should be included, in addition to other charts where it reached the top forty. 17Drew 07:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
A comment by a random user does not supercede the WikiProject's convention. 17Drew 07:51, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm not saying he can't comment. I'm saying that the fact that (s)he didn't make the clarification about an artist's home chart doesn't mean that it no longer applies. It does. 17Drew 08:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Gimme More.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gimme More.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. "Gimme More" cover

The new image I uploaded is of higher quality which helps the reader visualize the single cover better. Since I usually upload images as PNG files, I couldn't have uploaded it as a new version of your image (which is JPG as the title and file). Hope that helps you understand.
