Request reason:

Obviously someone else using my ISP was messing around and now innocent people who use the same IP are also blocked.

Decline reason:

Unfortunately, we have no way to know which block you're talking about. Please follow the directions below, in order that we can see how to deal with the situation. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:17, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. If you are still blocked, copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section. This is usually hidden within the "What do I do now?" section. If so, just click the "[show]" link to the right hand side to show this text.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. --Closedmouth (talk) 10:17, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It seems all IP addresses from my ISP are blocked. This time I used IP 203.177.74.139.

Decline reason:

That IP is currently running an open proxy, which are not allowed at Wikipedia. See block log for that IP. Unfortunately, you do not have an active enough editing history to judge whether or not you would qualify for an IP Block Exemption. Please log in from a different IP address. {{unblock|How can I expand my editing history if I can't edit? My ISP assigns dynamic IP addresses, I can't just use a different one at will. I use one of the most popular ISPs in the Philippines and by excluding this IP range I think you're discriminating against a large number of Filipinos.}}

I'll ask for the proxy to be rechecked: if this is a dynamic IP address assigned by an ISP it probably isn't running an open proxy. This may take a little time. Mangojuicetalk 14:35, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is a really odd case, but he's right. It seems like that ISP is running a number of proxies. He actually shares this IP with an active admin. I would endorse ipblockexempt at least until somebody figures out a better solution. Brandon (talk) 01:28, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Mangojuicetalk 15:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Mangojuice, I really appreciate that you took the time to find out what the problem was. Dr Gwapo (talk) 12:04, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
