2022 AHS[edit]

Please do not mention that the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season was above average in the lead until you discuss it with others and get consensus at Talk:2022 Atlantic hurricane season. Thanks, ✶Quxyz 21:21, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NOAA Has Classified It To Be Slightly Above-Average; The Number Of Hurricanes Also Count For Classification! Doratheexplorer200 (talk) 03:50, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What source are you using? ✶Quxyz 12:24, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It was the one in the wiki article for the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season. “NOAA typically categorizes a season as above-average, average, or below-average based on the cumulative ACE index, but the number of tropical storms, hurricanes, and major hurricanes within a hurricane season is sometimes also considered.” Doratheexplorer200 (talk) 18:07, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Statistically speaking, a change of one is not significant enough to call is above average. Discuss this on the seasons talk page and do not readd thay information until consensus is gained. ✶Quxyz 11:49, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
