Disambiguation link notification for February 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Edu Bedia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Santander. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Article formatting[edit]

Please format the articles following Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players: the positions should be listed with a comma (,) not a slash (/). There is no need for the {{height}} when listing in meters. Per WP:NOTBROKEN, write [[attacking midfielder]], not [[Midfielder#Attacking midfielder|attacking midfielder]]. Thanks. Notice

The article Sardor Jakhonov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Footballer who fails GNG and NFOOTY

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Durand Cup group stage[edit]

For the past two days you have routinely contributed to Wikipedia by updating the match stats of 2022 Durand Cup group stage. But besides your good faith edits, you have been quite disruptive in your edits. For a clarification, Template:Footballbox collapsible is mostly used in club/team's season pages like 2021–22 FC Barcelona season, whereas, Template:Football box is often used cup tournament pages like 2021–22 UEFA Champions League group stage. So instead of edit warring, I would like to propose a civil discussion for a resolution before conducting further conflicts. Debankan talk  09:55, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't been disruptive. Template:Footballbox collapsible is the used in many cup competitions. It gives a more sophisticated and polished look. Dollarsign14 (talk) 10:12, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The pages that are global and closest to the format of 2022 Durand Cup group stage doesn't use collapsible such as UCL group stage, ACL group stage or AFC Cup group stage pages neither use collapsible template. Debankan talk  14:15, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Lalnuntluanga Bawitlung. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! A tag has been placed on Ayush Chhetri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.news18.com/news/football/isl-transfer-news-fc-goa-rope-in-youngster-ayush-chhetri-5607043.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Updates of international statistics[edit]

You recently done a lot of edits which includes international caps and goals update of various players. But I want to bring you attention that when you update those stats you often forget to update the statistics with dates and time. Please refrain from update if you continue to forget that, someone else can do the job better. Next time if I find such edits from your side, I will consider it as disruptive. Drat8sub (talk) 17:30, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I often do but sometimes forget. Not using this as an excuse, but certain Indian footballers statistics with dates and time are not updated by other editors. I updated many of the footballers' dates and time for the Tri-Nation Series just before the Intercontinental Cup. Dollarsign14 (talk) 19:48, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand. But, since you are admitting that you forget sometimes, I would ask you to refrain from stat update edits. Because if you do such edits, if remain unnoticed, it creates lot of confusion and wastage of time for other editors to keep stats clean and clear. I know other editors do too, so has been advised whoever comes to my notice, but we need to talk about you, not other. Hope you will keep yourself out of this stat update things, if you do so, do it properly. Drat8sub (talk) 04:33, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at India national under-23 football team shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

I would ask you to revert your latest edit at the article, football squads are only added when it is announced by the concerned federation, not before that, this is per consensus of wikipedia football project. And you must revisit WP:RS. Drat8sub (talk) 20:52, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked twice before, and warned several dozens of times, about properly citing your sources when you modify or add new information to an article. And yet, just today, you've done it several times more. Given that the two prior blocks didn't seem to impress upon you the importance of doing this, I am yet again blocking this account, this time for 1 month. If this happens again when the block expires, expect a longer block, perhaps as long as indefinitely. I am writing this appeal to address the block on my Wikipedia editing privileges, which was warranted due to the addition of unsourced content. I fully acknowledge my mistake and deeply apologize for not adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sourcing.
During my recent editing activities, I regrettably added information to various Wikipedia pages without providing proper citations or reliable references from official sources. As a result, I understand that my actions not only compromised the integrity of the platform but also violated the trust placed in me as an editor. I recognize the significance of maintaining a high standard of accuracy and credibility on Wikipedia. In light of this, I want to assure the Wikipedia community that I have learned from this experience and am committed to making the necessary changes to my editing practices.
Moving forward, I will verify and cite all information I add to Wikipedia pages from official sources only. Proper referencing will be an essential aspect of my editing process.
In conclusion, I am genuinely sorry for my actions that led to the block, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I assure the Wikipedia community that I am committed to learning from this experience and becoming a responsible and constructive editor. I kindly request the opportunity to regain my editing privileges, and I promise to use this chance to contribute positively and responsibly to Wikipedia. Thank You. Blocked[edit]

So you've been warned multiple times for persistently adding unsourced information. You've been blocked for it in the past. You wrote in your last unblock request, and I quote, "Moving forward, I will verify and cite all information I add to Wikipedia pages from official sources only. Proper referencing will be an essential aspect of my editing process." It seems that this has not been the case. It's quite evident that you have no intention of abiding by your word or adhering to Wikipedia's policies on BLPs or sourcing. Since you have repeatedly demonstrated that you are unwilling to follow said policies, and you've had multiple strikes on this previously, you have been blocked indefinitely from editing on this project.
