Please, do not overreact. Thank you. Disembodied Soul (talk) 22:35, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Template:ISP[edit]

It's probably not worth continuing to edit war with the IP over having the ISP template on their talk page. Anyone can view the information by clicking the Geolocate tool. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 19:18, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Point taken. Disembodied Soul (talk) 22:22, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Obnoxious warning[edit]

Hey there, re: this, you apparently copied a super-obnoxious template from the last editor to warn this person. Please stick to the standard templates at WP:WARN. More gigantic warnings don't really do much to change disruptive behavior. If anything, they're more likely to provoke negative responses. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:21, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages[edit]

One is generally allowed to blank their talk pages per wp:BLANKING. Also, it tends to annoy the riff-raff and may be advisable to leave them be. If they start to become obscene you can open a ticket on ANI, or if really bad on the admin's wp:IRC. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 10:15, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I was under the impression that users are not allowed to remove block notices. Disembodied Soul (talk) 15:40, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, those are just notices so that the user is aware. We have the block log that can always be checked if we need to find the IP's block history. It's declined unblock requests that they cannot remove, and only during the time that they're blocked. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:06, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Oshwah: So trolling behaviour is OK? And profanities? [1] Disembodied Soul (talk) 19:11, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't consider "bite me" to be a profanity (although it's definitely the user trying to antagonize and be disruptive). I'd say the best thing to do is let it go, leave well enough alone, and move on. So long as the user stops after you've stopped, then he'll most likely move on now that he's no longer getting his food ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:22, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Oshwah: Well put! I will deny the user its coveted nourishment. Disembodied Soul (talk) 19:44, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Except you haven't stopped. You went back and restored the messages on December 12th, January 25th and again today. Please stop.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:20, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So, not even ISP information may be displayed? Disembodied Soul (talk) 22:29, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You're restoring the entire page, repeatedly. Just let it go.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:31, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down. You didn't answer my question. Disembodied Soul (talk) 22:34, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea what gave you the impression that I wasn't calm. Was it the "please" in my first request? Anyway, if you are concerned about the ISP template being removed, then restore that bit, there's no reason why you need to restore all of the material. All you are doing is providing entertainment for the IP and you could ultimately find yourself in a 3 revert situation with no exemption to rely on.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:40, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Heaven forbid! Disembodied Soul (talk) 22:44, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unexplained revert[edit]

Hello Disembodied Soul. Please could you explain this revert? And also this one of the same editor, making similarly uncontroversial copyedits and adding basic markup? CIreland (talk) 03:24, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The user has a very long history of adding unnecessary verbiage and extreme overlinking. I was merely, as did Beyond My Ken, undoing these unneeded edits. Disembodied Soul (talk) 08:28, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Not sure I agree but I see where you're coming from. Would probably be a good idea in the future to use an edit summary for this kind of revert, especially on this kind of article. CIreland (talk) 11:42, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photo request petition - please sign[edit]

Can you please sign this petition requesting certain historic photos be released for Wikimedia Commons? Thanks, --PlanespotterA320 (talk) 22:30, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
