November 2017[edit]

  • Recently I noticed that an editor had been repeatedly moving a page around, in some cases to inappropriate titles. At first I thought this was a case of a new editor acting in good faith and not realising that such moves can have disruptive effects, so I put some time and work into drafting a message explaining point by point what the problems were. However, before posting that message I did some further checking of relevant editing history, and I discovered that the editor in question is far from being a naive new user who does not know what is going on. The account which has been doing the disruptive moving is one of a number of accounts which exist with the sole, or in one cae almost sole, purpose of trying to use Wikipedia to create an article about a non-notable person, at least one of the accounts being used by that person himself. Having seen numerous attempts at creating the self-promotional page deleted, under more than one title, the person(s) involved has/have now re-created the page yet again, and moved it around to a number of different titles, including an article title slightly different from the one under which it has been repeatedly deleted. Whether intentionally or not, such moves are disruptive, as they make it difficult for other editors to trace the history of the page.
  • The person you have been writing about comes nowhere near to satisfying Wikipedia's notability guidelines, and is therefore not suitable to be the subject of an article, no matter how that article may be written. You are, of course, welcome to make contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, but if your purpose is to write a personal web page, then you would be better advised to use one of the many web sites which do provide that sort of service, such as a social network site or a web hosting service.
  • If you continue to edit in ways which contribute little or nothing to building the encyclopaedia, while taking up time of other editors who have to clean up after you, then all of the accounts you have used may be blocked from editing, to prevent such waste of time. This is your last warning. If you continue to edit unconstructively, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You have now three times moved the draft about "Anstalin" to draft talk space, although it is a draft for an article, not a talk page about a draft. You have continued to make these unconstructive moves after two different experienced editors, including an administrator, had moved it back to where it belongs, and after receiving a message telling you not to make such disruptive moves. It has for some time been clear that you are here not to contribute to the encyclopaedia abut to use Wikipedia to host a promotional page about an un-notable person (perhaps yourself). That fact alone would be enough to justify blocking you from editing, and if we add to that your persistent unconstructive actions such as repeatedly moving a page to a string of different unsuitable titles, there is more than enough to justify such a block. Hi i need to change article name spell how i will change?...

  • Your editing history shows that what you were trying to get help with was evading the effect of protection of an article which had been protected to stop you from repeatedly creating it, so there is no point helping you. However, that won't make any difference anyway, since you clearly have no intention of making constructive contributions to the encyclopaedia and have been blocked from editing indefinitely. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:45, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Anstalin S has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not seeing any significant coverage other than his personal blogs, fails GNG and BIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Anstalin S[edit]

Hello Dipsong,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anstalin S for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because it is clear that you are not here to contribute to building the encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
