File permission problem with File:Chris Crocker in V Magazine.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chris Crocker in V Magazine.jpg, which you've sourced to http://thechriscrocker.tumblr.com/post/22502843745/chris-crocker-in-v-magazine-on-stands-may-11th. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:13, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffree Star discography[edit]

Lol. This is awkward, but upon checking my source it was actually a very luxorious and real seeming fan website that stated Sh#t was an EP. A quick Google search led to me a Twitter post made by Star himself stating the album is a mixtape. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Jeffree Star Template[edit]

Sorry for making a new section, but i'm not really sure how to carry on a conversation with another user under the same topic. About the template, I edited it shortly after doing the discography and main page for Jeffree. I inaccurately listed the Sh#t mixtape as an EP, but other than that I believed all of the information was correct. Did you find any more issues with the information I put in? The singles section is tricky, as with independent artist it's difficult to tell an official single from a promotional single. /:

JS Singles[edit]

Hmmmm. Well, none of Star's songs really meet that criteria, tbh. I found one source of Star claiming in an interview that "Prisoner" is the lead Beauty Killer single (I put the source under the singles section of the article), but other than that I have found nothing on any other songs. Other than "Prom Night!", I don't believe any of his songs have received mainstream radio airplay either.

Singles[edit]

I completely agree! I think the discrography and template pages should only list "Prom" "Lollipop" and "Prisoner" as official singles, with the rest being promotional singles. Also, why doesn't Virginity have its own page? It is a major label release, and has spawned a single.

Songs[edit]

Hmmmm. Maybe we should make a notable songs list in the template, like other artist have, rather than list every promotional single. Just a thought.

Templates[edit]

Template:Lady Gaga has a section titled "Other Songs", though it is compiled of songs that have gained notability without being released as official singles. Template:Miranda Cosgrove does the same, so maybe an "Other Songs" section would best fit the Jeffree Star template?

JS Template[edit]

That sounds like a good idea! It will be easier to read and comprehend as well! :)

LL[edit]

I'm not sure about that one. I would consider it a promotional single for Beauty Killer, since "Lollipop" had previously been released as an official single.

Yay![edit]

It looks great! Glad the discography, template, and main page all match now!! :)

Citations[edit]

Yeah, I'm not really sure how to fix those, otherwide I would. /:
