Hello, Dennispmccann. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Dennis P. McCann, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Dennis P. McCann to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Gbawden (talk) 14:00, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

November 2013[edit]

Please do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 05:27, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have never created a page to attack anyone. A short timer ago I left a message that someone was editing a page to attack me, repeatedly. Perhaps you got your signals crossed, or perhaps someone is deceiving you. I suggest you check IP addresses. Dennis. I think Largoplazo was referencing this page, which is not an attack page so the above posted Template:Db-attack-notice does not seem to fit. If you are involved in a matter, please report it instead of posting user warning templates in reply. -- Jreferee (talk) 06:19, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That page is the talk page of a user who vandalized my page. In reading the help sections, I was under the impression that when reverting vandalism one was supposed to use the templates to add graduated warnings to the perpetrator's talk page, so that's what I did. Please forgive me if I was in error regarding the correct procedure. I would also like to point something out - if you see the history of the page Dennis P. McCann, you'll notice many reverted edits from users with 71.x.x.x or 72.x.x.x IP addresses. If you look deeper, you'll see that all of them are either the exact same wording, or very close to being exactly the same. Further, all those IPs trace back to the same town. I can only assume that all of the vandalism was perpetrated by the same person. Dennispmccann (talk) 06:39, 11 November 2013 (UTC) Dennispmccann (talk)[reply]

Source material[edit]

Dennis, it is difficult for editors to find source material for the Dennis P. McCann since the name Dennis McCann is so common. You likely know of much the independent press coverage you have received over your life. One way you can help out is to post a thread on the article talk page that includes links to hard print newspaper, book, and magazine articles about you and your life for Wikipedia's biography article. (Skip website posts and press releases). If you add such a list of source material for the article on the article talk page, please list them each in a Template:Citation (see my usage in the Dennis P. McCann article). Thanks. -- Jreferee (talk) 06:19, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The tough part about that is many articles are not archived on the internet (too old) or are in Turkish as I've lived in Turkey the last 8 years. Still, I can come up with a list (there's one on my website, though it doesn't list dates) - I just don't know how many can be found. Thanks for your help.
