Please stop re-creating an article tagged for a speedy delete. Wikipedia does not allow vanity articles; see WP:COI for info. If an article topic is notable, it will be edit by numerous users, not just new ones. --Madchester 17:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this is not a vanity article, i enjoy tom's work and attempted to put a page up. He is a noted author. i don't understand your statement re. 'it will be edit by numerous users, not just new ones.' There is no article on the author and i was trying to put one up. What is the difference between this post and Tom Clancy or Dan Brown? --Ddonofrio 17:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Chinacard.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chinacard.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:07, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

The article you wrote, Tom Blood, is uncategorized. Please help improve it by adding it to one or more categories, so it may be associated with related articles. A stub marker or other template doesn't count - please put in an actual category in the article. Eli Falk 09:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of David Ramadan, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.linkedin.com/in/DavidRamadan.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. A tag has been placed on David Ramadan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Falcon8765 (TALK) 20:40, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Ramadan AlJazeera.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ramadan AlJazeera.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:07, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Ramadan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

-- Alan Liefting (talk) - 21:14, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message. In order to qualify for an encyclopedia article, a person must be "notable". Please see WP:BIO, the relevant notability guideline. If David Ramadan satisfies the notability criteria, based on what has been written about him in reliable sources, please let me know and we can discuss restoring the article. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:26, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In order to establish notability, we need independent, third-party reliable sources about David Ramadan, not video clips of Mr. Ramadan appearing on television programs. For example, has somebody written a newspaper or magazine article about Mr. Ramadan? Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:24, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm tired of repeating myself. You haven't provided a single link to an article about David Ramadan. If you'd like the article restored, try WP:Deletion review. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:13, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

please read the talk page in the David Ramadam article. You are persisting to undo additions without comment or policy reasoning when valid cites are provided for edits and restoring a self serving advertisement. Please read the FAQ and preform your edits in a collaborative manner, your insistence on unilateral changes is a violation of wikipedia policy. If you believe that you have valid arguments with others edits discuss them. If you contend that the cites provided are invalid, please provide cites which invalidate those stated. I note that you have been warned numerous times that in this article to establish notability, we need independent, third-party reliable sources about David Ramadan. Your removal of any copy that is controversial to 'your' view only serves to verify that Mr. Ramadams article is placed here as a puff piece. Zparqi (talk) 04:54, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Admin note: I have now fully-protected the page until all issues are resolved. I urge Ddonofrio to discuss this matter on the article's talk page. -- œ 16:51, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
