Ooops

I fixed the directional error on Floral Park (LIRR station). Thanks for pointing that out - I'm still getting my bearing here. • Freechild'sup? 02:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Far Rockaway Branch map

Thanks for your message. When a routemap template is inside of an infobox, ugly little white spaces appear between the pictograms, at least on some browsers, including both of mine. This problem has been mentioned at Wikipedia talk:Route diagram template, but no one seems to have fixed it. For some reason, the route diagram templates and the infobox templates don't behave well together. Marc Shepherd (talk) 23:04, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Question Re: Suffolk CR 25 in NY

You edited the note on the Suffolk County Routes page regarding a formerly proposed realignment of Wading River Road/former CR 25 in Manorville. Do you have any further information or maps or drawings showing any of the project info? I am curious as I live in the area and would love to learn about it. Thanks! Happy New Year. H. Could you recheck your sources on the edit of Marshall (Amtrak station) adding a motor coach connection? There is no Amtrak thruway service serving Marshall. The Longview-Shreveport Thruway service passes through the periphery of Marshall via I-20, en route to/from Shreveport, but there is no stop in Marshall.RI-Bill (talk) 03:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

The on-line maps can often be confusing, but in any event, there is NO Thruway bus service to Marshall. You may verify this by attempting to make a reservation from Marshall to Shreveport on amtrak.com. The result of that effort will route you by train from Marshall to Longview, then by Thruway bus (operating nonstop) from Longview to Shreveport.RI-Bill (talk) 03:14, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Mayfair

One of the quirks of the CTA is the heavy duplication of station names. When Loco830 (talk · contribs) set up {{CTA stations}}, he added all the special cases in the format STATION NAME (LINE COLOR). So, "Montrose (Blue)" gives the correct link. The article's looking pretty good! Mackensen (talk) 14:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

That wasn't me. It appears that [1] is this line, and it began at the Far Rockaway station just across the street from the current subway station. --NE2 16:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Centralized TV Episode Discussion

Over the past months, TV episodes have been reverted by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [2]. --Maniwar (talk) 23:49, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Some maps that might be useful

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ron and Amelia.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ron and Amelia.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 09:54, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Ghia

Hi, The article can be true, but it is so important article that it needs good and reliable sources, to look like encyclopedic article, at the moment it has only 1 citation, which is way too few for such long article, the tagging isnt negative thing toward the article only to made it better. --— Typ932T | C  18:22, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Nobody will remove anything, and if that happens it can be restored, the tag can then removed when it has citations/sources more

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:NY_347_Hauppauge_Spur_Map(1967).JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 00:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
