Both of the editors you asked me to contact have replied now. One supported while the other collapsed his comments and said they they have been adequately addressed.--White Shadows Your guess is as good as mine 11:48, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey dude. I've added a comment there which relates to that "issue" we had with the use of general references over at the 1936 Winter Olympics medal table list. I think it's worth considering now before get another visitation from the "refimprove" brigade, whadyareckon? The Rambling Man (talk) 16:53, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Signpost F&A

Hi Dabomb87 - I believe I haven't done so yet, so let me first thank you for the work you have been doing at F&A for a while now. Please be aware that Signpost stories shouldn't be changed significantly after publication time without a pressing need (to check whether an issue has been published already, see here). There are several reasons for that; one is that Signpost readers should be able to expect that they do not miss relevant information if they don't check back or watchlist a Signpost story after reading - just like in a normal newspaper article, and different from a normal Wikipedia article. I'll leave this addition in place, but in the future, please add such updates to the upcoming issue instead. Regards, HaeB (talk) 02:18, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi Haeb. Please accept my sincere apologies; I've been quite late in updating F&A for the past two weeks, and there's no excuse for it. I will do my best to meet the deadline, and hope that I've not caused you too much stress. Thanks for all your work on the Signpost. Cheers, Dabomb87 (talk) 04:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Block

Hey would you mind lengthening the block on this user to 31 hours with talk page disabled? Per this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:98.231.79.72&diff=prev&oldid=401831169 --Addihockey10e-mail 20:37, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

I've extended the block. OlEnglish (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) has revoked the IP's talk page access as well. Cheers, Dabomb87 (talk) 20:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

FLC

Hey there. That last issue with the footnote for the FLC of List of battleships of the Ottoman Empire has been addressed :)--White Shadows Those Christmas lights 00:40, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

I've notified persons involved and some have responded. I'm really trying to get a move on it so I can move on to my next project. Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 23:48, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Features and admins

Hi, I couldn't help noticing that the same picture of the mallard ducks is featured in last week's and this weeks Signpost. Last week showed the full version; this week should show the crop - but this is the opposite of what the infobox reports. So I thought I'd let you know so you can sort it out. Timeline of discovery of Solar System planets and their moons

Just wondering whats happening regarding this FLRC as no work seems to of been made in the last 18 days to address the issues raised. Afro (Talk) 19:09, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm giving editors just a bit longer to work on those issues. Dabomb87 (talk) 23:30, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Hate being pushy... but...

... if you get a chance, could you do something with the following (comments are "my opinion" and are meaningless, other than to allow me to recall what I thought at the time):

The Rambling Man (talk) 21:11, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

I will look at FLC today. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:28, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Dude, while the stuff you're doing is admirable, it should be something we can convince to get a bot to do. Your time is better spent elsewhere.. Let's talk about it again when I wake up... The Rambling Man (talk) 23:24, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, coulda told me that earlier ;) Anyway, just finished that stuff up, and am now moving on to the job that earns me the big bucks! Dabomb87 (talk) 23:25, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Closed the first three FLRCs as per your reasoning, but am leaving the timeline open a wee bit longer in case someone intends to return to their work. Dabomb87 (talk) 23:27, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely, like I said, it was always "my opinion" so I didn't want to get involved with the closure. Yeah, I think if you're adding archive numbers to FLCs and stuff to avoid redirects, you need a bot. Definitely. Perhaps you're too conscientious... In either case, don't spend too long doing that again or I'll block you. Oops, you can unblock yourself these days, can't you?!? I'll think of another way of getting at you! The Rambling Man (talk) 23:37, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

We've identified a problem here, but not sure of a solution. The issue is there are songs in the list that satisfy multiple conditions in the key, but obviously are only able to display 1 color. Was wondering if you've seen this issue before. Jujutacular talk 17:10, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Seasonal tidings

Thanks, and a Merry Christmas to you too. Thank you for all the hard work you've put into FLC, and many other venues, at Wikipedia this year; your +sysop was well-deserved. BencherliteTalk 23:57, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Unprotection of Egyptians

Thanks for unprotecting it - I'll certainly bring it back to RFPP if there is further vandalism. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 18:53, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your watch over the Greinke article. Since your protection was added to the article, it was announced on MLB.com that Mr. Greinke is indeed of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club. I have since lifted the protection, since it's no longer a "crystal ball" issue. harej 20:14, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. Dabomb87 (talk) 17:17, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Signpost review of the year

I've started the page for our annual review of the year, and I was wondering if you and Tony wanted to write the section on featured content. Ideally, this would be a few paragraphs on the best new featured content (similar to what's in F&A) this year. I was wondering if you'd fancy doing it? Thanks, wackywace 10:20, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Request

Hi, I have made a request. Hope to be accepted. Thanks. *** in fact *** (contact) 13:19, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Semi protection request

Please discuss/grant the semi-protection request for the article Kandahar (2010 film). I have requested it in Wikipedia:Requests for page protection, but there has been no discussions/replies. The page is having high IP vandalisms and Temp protect it atleast for a period of one month. Arfazph (talk) 18:21, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays
Hope you have a lovely holiday season. I have one request: At least once this season, completely ruin someone's attempt to piss you off. If someone cuts you off in traffic or shits on you at work, just smile and wave and tell them Happy Holidays. Maybe they'll be less of an asshole, even if it's just for the rest of the day. Andy Walsh (talk) 20:38, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Re: Reviewer rights

Just want to say thanks!! We hope (talk) 19:43, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Happy holidays! Can you move from full protection to semi-protection? The edit war was caused by IPs, and there are at least four experienced editors helping on the page, so semi-protection should be fine. The version that's up right now is ok and will be improved by limited editing. I wonder if there should be a {{current}} tag at the top to indicate that information in the article is changing due to current events? All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 08:47, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Done. Happy holidays to you too! Dabomb87 (talk) 17:21, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Needs help

I have now presented the redirect pages to RFD, but noone has replied to it. I just want to know how it will be carried forward and how long it will take. I believe atleast the administrator assigned to the page should have put a reply now. Thank you very much for your help yesterday!!! So could you please tell me how I have to go forward in RFD? Leone (talk) 16:58, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi Leone. It takes several days (at least seven) for RfDs to conclude, and during the holiday season, it will probably take longer. For now, you'll just have to wait until somebody else decides to comment there. Cheers, Dabomb87 (talk) 17:24, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
So does that mean if no one comments they will delete the redirect pages??? -Cheers!!!- Leone (talk) 17:36, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
That's quite likely. Dabomb87 (talk) 17:36, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your help!!! Happy Holidays!!! ^_^ Leone (talk) 17:39, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks you for the new rights, I was also wondering if you could help me with the Alexa Chung page as it's currently under attack by multiple vandals, could you please add temporary semi-protection to the page and show me where I would normally request such an action, thanks, Passionless (talk) 16:16, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

I've semi-protected it for two weeks. You can request protection for articles at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Regards, Dabomb87 (talk) 16:19, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

You blocked the following editor (User:173.80.31.126) a few days ago for making bogus edits adding false information to articles. The pattern has persisted since the block expired. Perhaps you could take another look. Cbl62 (talk) 04:56, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Orashmatash

I would like to report User:Beach drifter. He has been picking on me since I first made an account on Wikipedia, and ask that you do something about his somewhat childish attitudes. Orashmatash (talk) 20:49, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I am busy right now. Can you be more specific than "he has been picking on me"? Links and diffs would be helpful. Dabomb87 (talk) 23:09, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
It's okay, Courcelles is taking care of it. Thanks. Orashmatash (talk) 12:06, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

The number of Featured lists is coming close to 2,000, and we will hit this milestone in a little while. This will obviously deserve a write-up in the Signpost. Just a heads-up. :) ResMar 04:12, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

FLC Closure log

Not a problem, but Sakharov Prize had five supports, not two per your closure comments. I don't care, but it was a point of accuracy. Happy new year dude. The Rambling Man (talk) 01:23, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
