SUBCAT

Please read WP:SUBCAT before adding any more categories to articles. In particular:

an article should be categorised as low down in the category hierarchy as possible, without duplication in parent categories above it. In other words, a page or category should rarely be placed in both a category and a subcategory or parent category

Mitch Ames (talk) 12:48, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

@D A R C 12345: Please don't keep putting articles in parent and super-categories of existing more-specific categories, as you have been recently doing with new articles in Category:Roman towns and cities in Tunisia. WP:SUBCAT is fairly clear on how this should work - please read it, and ask if you have any questions about it. Mitch Ames (talk) 00:14, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

Latest instances: Sutunura, Toukabeur, Limisa. Please read WP:SUBCAT before adding the parent categories again. Please discuss the matter on the talk pages - or here - if you think WP:SUBCAT ought not apply, or you think I have misinterpreted it. Edit-warring is not the way to resolve this. Mitch Ames (talk) 07:08, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Furni, Tunisia. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:13, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Cram101 is not a reliable source, they copy information from Wikipedia and paraphrase it. You used a Cram101 reference in Lateranus family, which I have removed. Fences&Windows 17:28, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Aïn Tebernoc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C3%AFn_Tebernoc. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Please be sure to read the deletion notice before taking action. The following links will provide specific examples of where you were seen taking the speedy deletion tag off an article before a decision was rendered, [1] ; [2]

There are different methods that are used for nominating an article for deletion. While some are cleared off the article to show you're interested in keeping the article here, others aren't. Specifically related to speedy deletion. See Wikipedia:CSD and also the last note I left on your talk page above. When disputing a speedy deletion, please click on the button on the article page, then make a note on that article's talk page explaining in detail as to why it should not be deleted. You can still edit and add on content while it is in consideration as well too, happy editing :) ActiveListener95|(˥ǝʇs Ɔɥɐʇ) 02:19, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines; "Large talk pages become difficult to read, strain the limits of older browsers, and load slowly over slow internet connections. As a rule of thumb, archive closed discussions when a talk page exceeds 75 KB or has multiple resolved or stale discussions." - this talk page is 517.6 KB. See Help:Archiving a talk page for instructions on how to manually archive your talk page, or to arrange for automatic archiving using a bot. If you have any questions, place a {{help me}} notice on your talk page, or go to the help desk. Thank you.

Also, I noticed you made some changes to Stiftung just now, and added wikilinks to words like "town," "hospital," and "southern." Please take a moment to read the Manual of Style section on what not to link, and note that "everyday words understood by most readers in context" are not generally linked.

Copyright problem on Usmon Nosir

Material you included in the above article appears to have been copied from the copyright web page http://ziyouz.uz/en/uzbek-literature/41-literature-of-30-80s-of-xx-century/116-usmon-nosir-1913-1944. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. The article Ernest Weinrib has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Cahk (talk) 07:22, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

The article Klaus Hopt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject Of The Article has not been discussed significantly in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Musulmanii requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

no content whatsoever (A3), consists only of a (malformed) redirect to itself

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

—Bruce1eetalk 13:50, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Al Kharjah moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Al Kharjah, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. — InsertCleverPhraseHere 04:09, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Categories

Please do not add categories to redirect pages. Such pages should remain blank. If appropriate, the target of the redirect should be entered into the category. Please also see WP:BLPCAT before adding religious categories. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 13:53, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

You are making a large number of additions to Category:Roman Catholics. Most of the additions, it would appear, should properly instead be to appropriate subcategories, such as Category:Roman Catholic bishops. Where possible, pages should be added to subcategories, not over-arching categories, as they lose all value. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 08:39, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Antiquity

Hello there. You seem to have a tendency to add lots of links to Antiquity to various articles you write. If you will look at the page Antiquity, you will see that it is not an article about a relevant topic. Please link to more relevant articles in the future. Thanks! --R'n'B (call me Russ) 22:13, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Linking

Hi, please don't link months, and use one, not both date formats in any one article. [3] Tony (talk) 06:11, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Please stop

Once again, you are at it: Ancyra (Titular See), Stauropolis (titular See), Diocese of Garella. Once again relying only on Catholic sources, once again unable to distinguish between Latin and Italian names and actual native names, leaving the former untranslated, once again without any proper editing of the text, which is a mish-mash of your sources, once again jumbling Orthodox and Catholic history of the sees, and giving inadvertent priority to the latter. The lack of WP:COMPETENCE is obvious, and your persistent refusal to answer to any sort of criticism or engage in dialogue verges on becoming disruptive. Importing material without the willingness, knowledge and ability to edit it into a coherent and accurate whole is a problem. Consider this the final warning. Constantine 11:41, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, but I don't see any reasoning or secondary sourcing that indicates/proves these are in fact "landmark" cases. Primary sourcing really does nothing to make that case. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 12:41, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Hannett, Cornwall

Hi, I'm sorry but I can't find this place on a map! Any chance you might have it confused with a hamlet called Hennett nearby? Blythwood (talk) 01:27, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

  • I now think I know where you got this from - this website Oliver's Cornwall - I think this must be a misprint. This is why it is important to use reliable sources, not blogs. I may be wrong, but I think this source has written the place name wrong. I have tagged Hannett, Cornwall for deletion as I can find no evidence that this place exists. We noticed though that when you edited Kashafrud River, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Fudwan

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fudwan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. jd22292 (Jalen D. Sockpuppet investigation

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/D A R C 12345, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
