January 2009[edit]

My apologies for reverting the correct information you posted. The page I was looking at didn't show that it had formed, thus I thought it was incorrect information. 02:07, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

That's ok I've had that happen to me before, actually. Most sites on the net base their information on the JTWC I think, which haven't issued an advisory for the storm yet. 02:10, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Australia Numbers[edit]

The U is BoMs offical designation, however for some unknown reason they do not include them in their advisories these days. However we know that Tropical Low 01U ex Bernard through to Tropical Low 04U is correct as i emailed the BoM, after Billy as we saw within one of the technical bulletins that they used the designation of 03U/05S to describe Billy. Hope this helps Jason Rees (talk) 16:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Us[edit]

Thanks for emailing the BOM about putting the Us on the 3day outlook, I have heard on the grapevine that they are considering it internally but it isnt likely to happen this season. Also Random is the right word for the Us, if you look at 2008-09 Aus you will find that Cyclone Hina got an U even though it didnt go anywhere near the region.Jason Rees (talk) 00:27, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Oops...[edit]

It's not a problem, everyone makes mess ups now and then :P Rather jealous that you're chasing the storm, forecasts show it being on par with Larry in 2006. Stay safe and enjoy the storm! Cyclonebiskit (talk) 18:46, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

16U[edit]

BTW 16U was in Perths AOR, it was the one on full warnings over the weekend. On another note - how did tracking Yasi go? me and Cb are very jealous that you were at least able to contemplate chasing it.Jason Rees (talk) 03:40, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
