This is being posted on your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss issues and respond to questions. At the end of each message you will see a signature left by the editor posting. This is done by signing with four ~~~~ or by pressing or in the editing interface tool box, located just above the editing window (when editing). Do not sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted, but only when using the article talkpage, yours or another editor's talkpage. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information.

Shadows articles[edit]

Hi Courseivy. RE: your changes to the The Shadows albums. Only the first instance of a name in the tracklist requires a forename, and as such they were originally correct. I'm going to revert these changes as a result! I will leave in the wikilinks, however, as they are indeed useful. One further point is that the links to Brian Bennett lead to a disambiguation page, which should be avoided; to fix I'll amend [[Brian Bennett]] to [[Brian Bennett (musician)|Brian Bennett]]. If you've any questions, drop me a message at my talk page. Cheers, Nikthestoned 13:57, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, per MOS:CT, words like the and an and of are not capitalised unless the first word in the title. Cheers, Nikthestoned 14:12, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Shadows, July 2018 Edits[edit]

Hi Courseivy, thank you for your attempts to improve the Shadow's discography. This is your Talk Page for other editors to guide you. For your own reference, please get familiar with it and how to get to it from Wikipedia's menus (at the top). I have a few suggestions for you so that your edits are not undone en mass. Please check out the items linked to here including the Talk Page one above.

As you have previously been advised on this page, please revise your edits to use standard Wikipedia capitalisation of titles according to the guide at Manual of Style Guide: Capitalisation of Titles. Basically you should not use proper case for short joining words. If you do not follow the style guide linked to, your edits will inevitably be undone.

Please enter an Edit Summary as per H:ES before publishing your edits as it helps other editors when checking changes.

Also please familiarise yourself with adding references to your edits to substantiate them as per WP:REFBEGIN. If there is no sufficiently credible evidence found to substantiate your edits they will be undone. Not every last detail is on discographies is referenced, but chart positions should be. And significant changes to release details already entered should be at least mentioned in the edit summary before publishing your edit or discussed on the talk page for the article if not referenced. I will go through and check them later anyway if no one else does, but you may need to provide one or more acceptable references.

It will also be very useful for you to familiarise yourself with WP:ALBUMSTYLE and WP:DISCOGSTYLE. To see current examples of good discographies it is useful to familiarise yourself with WP:DISCOGRAPHY. If you have questions after looking at these articles you are welcome to ask. I mainly keep an eye the Cliff Richard discography and keep it up to date.

Regards,
