Spice Girls

Please do not add the "Tabloid and Press" section back to the Spice Girls article. Another editor removed it a few days ago with good reason; it is poorly worded and unencyclopedic. Wannabe

The United World Chart page has no links that supports or states how they do or make those charts and countings. It is allegedly produced and hosted by a German company called "Media Traffic", and a quick Google search on the company turned up no evidence that it is widely used or trusted. Plus the article was deleted from Wikipedia because no third-party sources could support its notability.

Bad charts

Please do not add the United World Chart, any Filipino chart, or any other chart listed in WP:BADCHARTS, to any Wikipedia article, as you did here. If you want to remerge those rows that were merged, I won't stop you, even though I wish you wouldn't: it makes removing charts more difficult.—Kww(talk) 18:13, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

semi-protection

Just putting the semi-protection macro into an article doesn't really do anything. It puts the picture of the lock on, but IPs can still edit the article.

If you believe Para Ti is reliable, you need to post it at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. I personally could not find any information on the said magazine. For the time being I'm replacing it with Billboard which has only Platinum for Argentina.--Harout72 (talk) 15:37, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

"Para Ti" Magazine is from the editorial "Argentine Televisa", Televisa is the most realiable sources in Latin America. For something logic, The 1997 edition is not complete full view, but the preview said in spanish: doble platino en la Argentina con 140.000 unidades. Is not easy found the sales from 80's or 90's albums from countries like Argentine in internet, that source said the exact sales. Hope you change again. List of best-selling girl groups

Hi, as you created this article in the first place, I assume you have been following the discussion on the talk page about it. Personally I think it is a bit of a mess and very difficult to keep accurate, but as a first step we have decided we are going to combine the physical and digital sales lists, as it makes no sense to separate them and it is impossible to say how many sales of, for example, the Spice Girls are physical and how many are digital. I think there should also be a cut-off limit of at least 10 million sales in order to qualify for the table, because below this level it becomes more difficult to find accurate sources. Hi again, I'm baffled by your recent edits to the US albums sales figures. I know about those figures from Yahoo Music and the rest, but those are clearly just the Nielsen SoundScan figures – once you add in the sales from music clubs that's what takes them up to the figures that match the certifications. List of best-selling girl groups page is being controlled by a user named Richard3120

This guy has been editing the information about the Spice Girls' and Andrew Sister's respective sales. According to Billboard, the Spice Girls sold more than 85 million records worldwide. On the other hand, the Andrew Sisters sold 80 million. Richard keep on editing the sales and claiming that the latter sold more than 90 million records because The Washington Post wrote an article about it in 2014.

Billboard's latest figure for Andrew Sisters was in 2013, which states, "They recorded more than 400 songs and sold over 80 million records, several of them going gold (over a million copies)." Meanwhile, Billboard's latest article about the Spice Girls states, "Formed in 1994, the Spice Girls have sold more than 85 million records worldwide, making them the most successful female British pop group in history."

Billboard is more reliable than The Washington Post when it comes to tracking sales. Richard is not listening. He keeps on undoing our edits to fit his narrative. Can you block him from editing the article? Thanks.
