Architectural Association School of Architecture[edit]

Hi, User:Cookseycook, I have just reverted the major edits that you recently made to the Architectural Association School of Architecture article. The edits have removed some significant content that was not, in my view, out of date or repeated. The edits also broke formatting as prescribed in the Wikipedia Manual of Style, and introduced links in need of disambiguation. Such a rewrite of the article should, ideally, have been proposed on the Talk page, and time then allowed for other editors to give their views. Also one of your editorial summaries ("We have updated the text as alot of it was out of date....") suggests you may have an affiliation to the AA. If so, this should, at the very least, be disclosed. Paul W (talk) 13:16, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cookseycook. I have responded to your note on the AA's Talk page. You have a clear conflict of interest in editing that article. Paul W (talk) 13:33, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Paul, apologies we were not aware of the conflict of interest but have read up on it now. Thank you for your assistance. Is there a way of updating the text without us being involved so that we can still include the missing information? Does this need to be done by an independent person? Thank you. 83.244.229.90 (talk) 13:38, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Paul, apologies we were not aware of the conflict of interest but have read up on it now. Thank you for your assistance. Is there a way of updating the text through smaller edits of the existing without us being involved so that we can still include the missing information? Does this need to be done by an independent person? Thank you. Cookseycook (talk) 13:57, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See reply on the AA Talk page. I am sure there will be numerous independent editors - myself included - who can help improve the article. I have contributed to the article many times, including when I was a participant in an 'editathon' at the AA in 2015. Paul W (talk) 14:15, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
