MJ[edit]

MJ may be has sold 350 million records, may be 750, but Elvis and Beatles have definitely not sold 1 billion +.

And definitely ABBA has not sold 370 m records. I do not care about other artists.

MJ may be 2nd or 3rd in the whole list. But somehow, I bet that Beatles has sold more than ELVIS and MJ.

So, at this point I agree with you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.40.12.217 (talk) 14:49, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. Elvis Presley[edit]

Hi Cliff, I appreciate what you are trying to do with the articles Michael Jackson, the Beatles and Elvis Presley. I've altered the Presley article to read 600 million to one billion sales because of links that you yourself have supplied. Here are the reasons; the Daily Record article claims that Presley sold 300 million during his lifetime, and the BBC one claims he has sold 300 million since his death to 2002. Therefore, 300 million + 300 million is a minimum of 600 million. I hope that finally this issue can be left alone and considered resolved. The article now clearly states between 600 million and one billion, not just one billion, although some other editors agree that the term "believed to have sold in excess of one billion" was good enough and was actually the better way of putting it, and if they wish to challenge the current article you may have to settle for the overall consensus. For now, however, I'm happy to leave it as it stands if you are. What do you think? ElvisFan1981 (talk) 18:27, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please start to sign your comments on talk pages. It gets really annoying having to double check who wrote unsigned statements. You've been warned by SineBot numerous times now. Killiondude (talk) 00:21, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
