Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cradle_To_The_Grave.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cradle_To_The_Grave.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Your edits to The Notorious B.I.G.[edit]

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from The Notorious B.I.G.. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Xnuala 03:00, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Notorious B.I.G. album section edits[edit]

Thanks for your edits on the article. I agree that there may be too much album information in the article, but other featured music artist biographies (Mariah Carey and k-os) include a summary of their albums and their impact in the main text of the biography, as well as having seperate articles about them and naming them in the discography. By removing the sections there's now little to no discussion of the two major releases of Biggie's career.

I'm therefore reverting your edits, with the intention of the cutting those sections down further into summaries, as per other music biographies and Wikipedia:Summary style. I've replied to your topic in the talk page if you want to discuss this further. Regards, 81.86.159.134 18:06, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Untitled 2Pac Album[edit]

An editor has nominated the article Untitled 2Pac Album for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Untitled 2Pac Album. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Untitled 2Pac Album during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Edits to Eminem discography[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Floria L 10:07, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:2Pac 4 Ever.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:2Pac 4 Ever.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Spamlinks[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Unspecified source for Image:Brendas_Got_A_Baby_2.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Brendas_Got_A_Baby_2.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:28, 28 February 2007 (UTC). Thank you for uploading Image:171089.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Categorization[edit]

Category:Tupac Shakur songs is for songs. Category:Tupac Shakur albums is for albums. Category:Tupac Shakur is for all other articles related to Tupac. The first two are subcategories to the last one. If every song/album is in the main category, that makes it hard to navigate, and defeats the structure. –Pomte 04:55, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Hit_Em_Up_2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hit_Em_Up_2.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

Image:Hip_Hop_Genuis.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Hip_Hop_Genuis.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. License tagging for Image:Tupacevalation1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tupacevalation1.jpg.

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uhrdijk.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:-399F7095-1D.jpg. The copy called Image:-399F7095-1D.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 04:00, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Holla If Ya Hear Me.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Holla If Ya Hear Me.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 16:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Unconditional_Love.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Unconditional_Love.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Tupac Shakur Feuds, by SXT40 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Tupac Shakur Feuds is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Tupac Shakur Feuds, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Tupac Shakur filmography[edit]

Tupac Shakur filmography, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Tupac Shakur filmography satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tupac Shakur filmography and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Tupac Shakur filmography during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Hail Mary.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shell babelfish 17:55, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Garland (Black Panther)[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Billy Garland (Black Panther), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Dear Mama.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dear Mama.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Cradle To The Grave1.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cradle To The Grave1.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:26, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization[edit]

Hi, Changes 04. As another user mentioned above, all of our articles about Tupac Shakur songs and albums do not need to be direct members of Category:Tupac Shakur. It is enough to include them in Category:Tupac Shakur songs and Category:Tupac Shakur albums, since those categories are themselves members of the main Tupac Shakur category. I just wanted to let you know that I've removed 50 such articles from the main category, but they are all still members of the appropriate subcategories. Nomination of Hit 'Em Up for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Hit 'Em Up, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hit 'Em Up until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 22:03, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Tupac Remembered has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a single review located for this book. Checked Newspapers.com and Google and found nothing. Even Kirkus and Publisher's Weekly which review literally everything under the sun had no results for this book.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 00:21, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
