It's a famous high school in Jiangsu Province of China. In Chinese Wikipedia, there's a page about this school. I'll improve the article, but not now. I hope you can remain the article. Cccmm002 (talk)

If there are sources to demonstrate notability, I suggest you either add at least one of these to the article. (talk) 10:31, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cccmm002, I've reverted your move of the page G1501 Shanghai Ring Expressway to G1501 Shanghai Suburb Ring Expressway, as per the format of the China National Highway Trunk System articles. All of the other ring expressway (绕城高速) articles will have the format GXXXX cityname Ring Expressway. The chinese name of G1501 Shanghai Ring is 上海绕城高速公路, which literally translates to "Shanghai Ring Expressway" or "Shanghai Ring High-speed roadway." I understand your usage of the word suburb 郊区, as G1501 is commonly referred to as the 郊环 (e.g. the proposed 郊环隧道), but this is not in its official name. I will mention it in the article as an alternately this common used name, but in the interest of format and for the Jct and Infobox road templates, we need to maintain some consistency so I will revert your move. If you have any inquiries please do not hesitate to discuss. Thanks Heights(Want to talk?) 16:04, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Sorry for making it seem like you changed the article name to Suburb Ring without any justification. As for the other ring roads in Shanghai, I don't think readers will be confused, as the expressway article itself is clearly tagged G1501, and now, in the article, I have mentioned that there are three other ring roads in Shanghai. 我可以写一点中文, 中文不太好, 我觉得用"G1501 Shanghai Ring Expressway"没有问题, 不一定需要一个"郊区"("Suburb")的字, 因为别的条目有内, 中, 外环这三个字, (Inner Ring Road (Shanghai), Middle Ring Road (Shanghai), S20 Outer Ring Expressway, 再说这些路里面只有一条G1501,也在条目里面了, 应该是很清楚的. The official translation would be definitely hard, if not impossible to find. Chinese Ministry of Transport official documents are in Chinese only. They don't translate highway names into English anymore. Driving on some of the expressways this summer, the expressway signage is mostly in Chinese; only destination signs are in Chinese/English (destination signs like to Shanghai). Any official translation would be impossible to find, which means we have to consider our own proper translation. Your statement about foreigners who know little about the Chinese expressway system to not know and comprehend G1501 is correct, however, in the article, it can be made clear that it is the fourth ring; so it is not necessary to make a distinction within the title. A map also would help with this. Heights(Want to talk?) 23:50, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
