Hi CanadianPhaedrus. On what basis do you assert that the force that rescued the Christian Peacemaker hostages was only "possibly multinational"? Jack Straw is quoted as saying: "The operation included representatives from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, other agencies from Canada ... as well as the Americans and British staff and those from Iraq," --Saforrest 23:34, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-At the time of my edit, information was still developing and the article originally suggested an "All British" force. My edit was intended to compromise between the "All British" and "Multinational". More information has since come to light. Please see your talk page for further info.

Re: Ronald Reagan[edit]

Thank you for your message; I will reply on the talk page. Flcelloguy (A note?) 13:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding to the article. However, I moved your addition to the current timeline section since that is where any current development should go. Anyway, I was wondering where you found that info, as we will most likely need to cite the source of the info you provided (Admins are sticklers for that). Thanks. --JFred 18:47, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

January 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from High-tech lynching. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. I have undone your edit to this page since the cited reference directly backs up the claim that you removed from the article. If you would like to dispute this, please bring it up on the article's talk page. -MBK004 05:44, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for making a post on the talk page, but continually removing the statement from the article before we determine consensus on the talk page is disruptive edit warring and if you revert again you will be blocked for violating our 3RR rule. I intend to take some time later tonight to extensively research the points that you have brought up and respond appropriately. Please wait until then. Thanks, -MBK004 23:14, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your patience in not reverting again. I have taken some time and responded to your query. -MBK004 06:14, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:15, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
