If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Headcount Index by Parish in Antigua and Barbuda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://statistics.gov.ag/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Antigua-and-Barbuda-CPA-Main-Report-Vol-I.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Edits related to Antigua and Barbuda

You've created a lot of incomplete articles consisting of one table of demographic data. I would recommend improving the article Demographics of Antigua and Barbuda instead, since people are more likely to find it and it'll make more sense in context. Citing (talk) 20:33, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

Notice

The article Headcount Index by Parish in Antigua and Barbuda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Figures unsupported by source provided.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Liz Read! Your contributed article, Local government in Antigua and Barbuda

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Local government in Antigua and Barbuda. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Barbuda Council. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Barbuda Council. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. SunDawntalk 00:36, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Old Road

I have reverted your latest edit to Old Road because it added far too much minute detail. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a statistical database. I suggest summarizing the data, for instance, naming the three most common religious denominations plus "others", and mentioning that almost 93% of the population was born in Antigua and Barbuda without detailing the very small numbers born elswhere. Also, do not place citations (or any other kind of markup, such as wikilinks) in section headings, as you did in the Demographics section heading. - Donald Albury 15:19, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of St. John's City South

Hello 123waawaaaa,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged St. John's City South for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Replaceable fair use File:Steadroy Benjamin.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Steadroy Benjamin.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:23, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

I have also nominated these files for deletion: File:Joint Session of Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda Budget Speech 2022.png, File:Robin Yearwood at the 2022 Budget Speech.png, File:Molwyn Joseph at the 2022 Budget Speech.png, File:Kimberley Grant.png, File:Michael Burton.png because compatibly-licensed photos could easily be created.— Diannaa (talk) 21:32, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Barbuda People's Movement Election Symbol.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Barbuda People's Movement Election Symbol.jpg, which you've attributed to http://www.caribbeanelections.com/elections/ag_elections.asp. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:33, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Steadroy Benjamin.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Steadroy Benjamin.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 04:12, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Obeez moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Obeez, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. All the information was referenced, so I see no reason for this. 123waawaaaa (talk) 21:43, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

Direct, reliable sources needed for Days of the Year pages

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages now require direct reliable sources for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Almost all new additions without a reliable source as a reference are now being reverted on-sight.

Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages.

Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 23:21, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Hmm, do I need to add the source to the days of the year article, because, both V.C. Bird articles already have a reliable source that includes his date of birth, and, date of death. 123waawaaaa (talk) 13:22, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Exactly. Toddst1 (talk) 16:06, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Also, please be careful about how you add sources. When you included the text <ref name=":0"> at the end of the entry, you created a link to another reference defined on the same page for a completely different entry. On these pages, it is highly unlikely that two or more entries will share the same reference. Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 08:07, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

Hmm, I don’t see how this happened, and, I guess it was some kind of bug with the auto-reference tool in the visual editing. And, I am not sure how a source from a website about an Antiguan workers union had anything to do with a Turkish war. 123waawaaaa (talk) 15:20, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
