Hi there - please take a quick look at WP:NOPIPE. If there is a redirect in place from a particular word or phrase, it's better to link the phrase targeting the redirect that to introduce a pipe. Cheers Girth Summit _(blether) 10:40, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

Age of Jane Austen at her death

It’s noted that she was born December 1775 and passed away on July 18, 1817 and that she was 41 at the time of her death. Reversion of edits to Supremacism

Hi CH Ahens,

Could you help me understand the reasoning for reverting my edits to Supremacism? I assure you my edits were in good faith, and I provided a lengthy explanation of my thinking in the Talk section, so I don't believe my edits warranted reversion per the guidelines. I'd be happy to work with you to include whatever parts of the reverted version you believe should stay. I think at a minimum, we could improve the organization of the section with subsections and can agree that these subsections should be consistent with the main articles discussing each topic. Removing maintenance tags without engaging in discussion

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Democracy. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Annie Lennox

Hi CH Ahens! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Annie Lennox that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. AussieWikiDan (talk) 12:52, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
