What you need to do is to add independent references from reliable sources. Articles that he has written himself are not really adequate to support the statements made in the article. Check out Help:Referencing for beginners and Wikipedia:Notability and try out the article in your sandbox first.Deb (talk) 10:34, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved your article on Manifest Ltd to your user space for the same reason: User:Brandwatch uk/Manifest Limited. Deb (talk) 10:38, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. If anything, that's worse as it makes extravagant claims using the same inadequate references. It was created at a time when we weren't so strict on this and it was lucky to escape notice for so long. Deb (talk) 11:03, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but I'm not doing any deals. If you want it reinstated, I suggest you go to Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion and get a second opinion. Deb (talk) 11:47, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

I seem to have been blocked in part because my user name has been associated with a Social Media company called Brandwatch. Let me be clear - I am in no way connected with the company Brandwatch nor is Manifest Ltd, the 2007 entry which I was editing to bring the information up to date. I wholly accept that any future contributions to Wikipedia need to be better referenced and non-promotional in content. I am a freelance graphic designer who has worked with Manifest and simply wanted to begin my Wikipedia contributions by bring the article on them up to date. All of their competitors (Saffron, VentureThree, Wolff Olins etc) have articles and I was confining myself to facts and am not aware that any of the content was promotional in nature. I have had to apologise to Manifest because my editing has lost them the article completely. If I am unblocked I will work on the article to ensure that it is wholly compliant with Wikipedia standards. Best wishes, John.

Decline reason:

You are blocked because your chosen username is the name of a commercial company, and whether you are or are not associated with the company is irrelevant. To request unblock you must apply for a username change; use {{unblock-un}}. If unblocked, please in editing be aware of conflict of interest policy. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:38, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Requested username:

Request reason:

My existing name is blocked because it is the name of a company (although I have no affiliation or connection with it whatsoever).

Accept reason:

For username change. We accept that you have no connection with the company called Brandwatch, but using this company's name is nevertheless not acceptable.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:54, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Manifest Limited, from its old location at User:Brandwatch uk/Manifest Limited. This is because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 07:03, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
