Hello. Your recent edit to Leesville, Texas appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. A named descendant buried in the cemetery who also won a Purple Heart isn’t notable? And yet this is somehow worthy of noting on Wikipedia: “As of 2018, Leesville was rated as having 249 residential structures[38] with a total of 1,253 rooms;[39] 825 of these were rated as owner-occupied, 184 were rated as renter-occupied.[40]”?
Bradleybclark (talk) 04:55, 31 October 2020 (UTC) :Exactly. Simply being awarded a Purple Heart does not make the recipient notable. And neither does having been awarded a single Silver Star, so I've also removed the other listed person. Please read WP:MILPERSON.
- No, the information about the houses is not notable either, but there's a difference Notability of the information is not necessary to list most sourced information in an article, but you are attempting to list notable people who are buried in one of the town's cemeteries. The general rule for such lists of notable people is that they must be individually notable.
