Signature

Your signature looks cool and I was wondering what kind of coding you used to make it look like that because I might change my signature to that. Kaleeb18 (talk) 17:26, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) You might want to ask this question to Levi OP. They were the one who designed Blaze’s signature. GMX🎄(on the go!) 17:34, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

The Wheel Of Time page edit war

Hey, first, sorry I'm not used to how wikipedia works in term of communication between users.

Secondly, regarding this. Yes, I'm trying to prevent some disgruntled watchers of this new serie to vandalize the page. They are basically trying to find ways to either spoils or make "snarky" comments about how the serie is in their opinions outside the only subreddit that still allow them to post. Example on Reddit.

Anyways, sorry if my behaviors seemed eratic or not confirm to wikipedia standars, I'm just not used ot it (yet). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonatansan01 (talkcontribs) 20:50, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

@Jonatansan01: It's alright. I've experienced how people act on Reddit myself. I just saw your report on AIV and saw the edit war and attempted to try and understand why the edit warring was happening. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:01, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

another new user

Dear Wolf, I really appreciate your prompt responses and your patience. I guess I am now talking to you. I have only a bit of time to work on wikipedia, so my answers might take a few days. I can't tell you have relieved I felt after you and other kind people guided me a bit. Let's see if this gets through to you! And maybe you will find something on my "user page," if in fact I correctly added something. I think the words "user page" are no longer in red, which sounds good. Don't worry, I'm not completely hopeless at this type of thing, but I do take a while to get with the program. Best, Prof Mo I am putting tildes for good measure. Prof Mo Lill (talk) 20:13, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

@Prof Mo Lill: Hello Prof Mo! You appear to have created a userpage correctly. Take a look at WP:USERPAGE to see what is and isn't appropriate to add to a userpage, and you have also successfully left a message on my talk page. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:17, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Thank you.

Signature Fix

Hey it's me, the one who made your signature. I've learned more about signatures and stuff since I'd made yours and I've noticed something. When you leave a post on a talk page and leave your signature, it trails onto the next line. Making it split into two. I found out per WP:SIGAPP that using non-breaking spaces is better to do in signatures. It's basically the same as a space visually, but it makes it so that it won't break onto a new line. If you just want to replace all of the spaces in your signature with   (a non-breaking space), the issue will be fixed and probably look better. Thanks, ― Levi_OPTalk 14:14, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

@Levi OP: Thanks for letting me know about that! I thought this was simply just something that I had to deal with. I'd honestly prefer if you'd do this since I honestly have no clue what I'm looking at with my signature and what I would need to change. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:19, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Sure, here's the code of your current signature with the non breaking spaces instead.
― <b style="background:#0d1125;color:#51aeff;padding:1q;border-radius:5q;">Blaze&nbsp;The&nbsp;Wolf</b>TalkBlaze&nbsp;Wolf#6545
As you can see, it says "&nbsp;" in the code instead of a space. When you actually put this on a page it will look the exact same as a space, just without it breaking. I've made sure it's still under the 255 character limit so you should be able to use this with no problems. If you do have any, let me know. Thanks, ― Levi_OPTalk 14:37, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Community

Blaze, I probably don't tell you enough but I really like you being here. I find your questions and desire to help to be refreshing. I hope others do too. I read concerns all the time about what any of this in user space has to do with creating a better encyclopedia. The encyclopedia is created by a community of people, real people, editing articles on notable subjects. Real people who don't put their lives on hold to edit here but incorporate editing into their real life. The community creates articles through consensus brought about by many different processes. The primary function of the community is to collaborate together. No one person here is an island to themselves. So how does being kind, being civil, and being welcoming make the encyclopedia better? By building an atmosphere of cooperation and understanding. You are an integral part of that beyond your edits in main space. I just wanted to express my appreciation for your Song being shared with us here. Please continue. Your wolf friend, Asareel --ARoseWolf 14:36, 16 December 2021 (UTC).

I'm sorry and what can I do to make my edits less disruptive

Hey Blaze, I saw your message, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Almost all my edits (excluding a translated part of the Russian Wikipedia that I added to Yak-42) have been reverted or deleted. You said that the "Retirement Dates" section that I added to Boeing 717 was disruptive, which makes me think that the other edits have been disruptive too. Why are they disruptive and how can I make them less disruptive? Let me know on my talk page. View my contributions too. 69.71.12.170 (talk) 19:19, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

@69.71.12.170: Hello IP! THe reason your edits are disruptive is because they were completely unsourced. I had originally just thrown citation needed tags on them but changed my mind after seeing that you had been reverted in the past. I haven't seen any of your other edits yet so I cannot speak for those. I recommend checking out WP:TEA and also creating an account to make communication easier. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:29, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Please check my history on my talk page, and I will make an account soon. Thanks! 69.71.12.170 (talk) 19:42, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello and why I chose you as my mentor

Hi, I am KingAviationKid,(P.S. also the IP address that you just helped today), and I have selected you as my mentor because of the experience with you that I have had today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KingAviationKid (talkcontribs) 19:59, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

@KingAviationKid: Hey! I'm glad that you wanted me to be your mentor because of your experience with me. I have to actually add myself back onto the mentor list since I had previously been removed from it because I was deemed unready to be a mentor. That would be one the reasons why I wasn't automatically selected to be your mentor. (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Cool

I'm glad you got your mentor "job" back. I will add some aviation templates then I will go and leave Wikipedia. I will be on starting tommorow from 2:00 PM (1:30 on weekends because of no school) to 2:30 PM. Also, try GeoFs.com! It is a free flight simulator with no downloads needed and satellite scenery from Cesium. KingAviationKid (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

TWA userbox

Hi, Blaze! I noticed that the TWA badges you have in your userbox list don't really fit in. You might like this userbox I made: (let me know what you think! File:Happy Vukky.png Best wishes, VukkyTalkGuestbook 20:50, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

@Vukky: Hey Vukky! After I post this reply I will definitely replace all of my TWA badges with that userbox since I agree the userbox does fit in a bit more. I might even see if it would be possible to incorporate something like that into the TWA as something optional instead of displaying each individual badge (modifying the code to say some like "This user has 1/7 TWA badges". ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:55, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

Friendly warning: WP:NOTSOCIAL

As one of the people who convinced ToBeFree to un-p-block RemusSandersRegretsEverything for their violation of WP:NOTSOCIAL in a discussion with you, I feel a certain responsibility to make sure that that situation doesn't go off the rails again, and thus am giving you a friendly warning for, immediately after that un-p-block, leading RSRE right back into a NOTSOCIAL violation. Please remember that, when interacting with new users, especially in a mentor-esque capacity, you are expected to model the behavior of an upstanding Wikipedian. As I indicated at RSRE's talkpage, I think it's reasonable to discuss an editor's mental health on-wiki if it relates to effective communication among editors; I don't think that includes discussing fictives' sources and such. Thanks. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 20:20, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello. I was unsure about the violation in the thread, so thank you for explaining. -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 17:42, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Apology.

Hello. I noticed that some introjects from the movie Mean Girls have been communicating with you, as well as Remus V and I. quite a few times the conversations have bypassed the rules of Wikipedia, and I would like to personally say, apologies for the situation as well as our role in it. I will make sure that our future conversations with you will avoid social talk. We will add you on Discord once we have the chance. -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 17:46, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

@Logan Hey Logan! Thank you for the apology, however you weren't entirely the ones at fault, and really it should be me apologizing to you. I was the one who, instead of trying to get us back on the right path, basically encouraged the behavior to continue. I'm extremely ashamed of doing so as I should be trying to help new users with figuring out Wikipedia, but instead I helped them violate a policy. I'm sorry for encouraging you to violate WP:NOTSOCIAL and I hope to do better in the future. Also, when you add me on Discord, make sure to DM me telling me who you are since recently I've been getting friend requests from random users, and most of the time they are simply just trying to scam me by saying that they "reported my Steam account on accident" however in reality they've done no such thing. If you friend me but don't let me know it's you in a DM, I will most likely decline the friend request since I don't know if the person trying to friend me is you or a steam scammer. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:55, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
I am unable to message someone unless we share a server with them, or until I have them added as a friend. Our username is TheHamiPotterGeek if that helps. Your apology, as deemed fit from our social protector, is accepted. -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 18:03, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Furry.

Not only do I have some questions about your "furriness" in which I mean, if you are simply a part of a fandom, or have an animal-like identity. I believe we have a furry alter if you ever wish to converse with them off of Wikipedia. -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 18:10, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

@Logan Hello again Logan! Thanks for your question about me being a furry. Online I do indeed have an animal-like identity (being an anthro wolf with pyrokinesis, hence the Wolf part of my name Yes it's a lazy last name but I've stuck with it). I certainly wouldn't mind to communicate with your furry alter off of Wikipedia as well. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:30, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Okay, we will keep that in mind. We also have an alter who has fire abilities that resemble what you described. -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 18:32, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Not trying to make either of you feel bad—there's nothing wrong with making friends!—but this is another example of the kind of getting-to-know-each-other that's better kept off-wiki. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:37, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
@Tamzin: Yep. I certainly don't mind someone asking me what I mean about me being a furry, however them saying they have an alter similar to the fire abilities my online persona (or fursona in this case) isn't something I was planning on responding to (other than a simple ok or cool) since it doesn't really help the other user be able to communicate with me better. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:42, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
In this context, where, as I said before, you're supposed to be modeling good behavior for a new user, it might have been better to not answer the initial question, or to just say you'll answer it off-wiki. It's hard for someone to learn where the line is when there's an experienced user who's tiptoeing over it. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:46, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
@Tamzin Sincerest apologies. I was attempting to be more respectful in his animal identity, I would never intentionally mislead someone from set guidelines. /srs /gen -Logan RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 02:44, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Thank you for all your contributions to Wikipedia and thank for the little tips you've given me like introducing me to Twinkle (I use it basically every time I'm on Wikipedia).

Here is a horrible pun for a fellow member of WikiProject Video Games member. McDonalds is working with Apple to create a huge gaming computer. They're calling it the Big Mac. ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 03:49, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

@Kaleeb18: Merry Christmas to you as well! I sure hope that is a joke and McDonalds isn't actually doing that. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:22, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
Yeah it is a joke lol. ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 15:30, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

hello, If there is any edit to be done please could help me as a mentor. while you are also fare enough to help me for the support of me. Thank you. --Fazran fayad (talk) 14:17, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

@Fazran fayad: Hello Fazran! Apologies for not answering your question sooner as I had been spending time with my family when you asked your questions and then I had to leave to go out of town that evening. Something that could help with what you're seeking would be WP:Task Center. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:22, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from KingAviationKid (15:16, 7 January 2022)

Hey, I found plagiarism for Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne at 1. Also please put a message at my talk telling me what your ten favorite helicopters are. --KingAviationKid (talk) 15:16, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

@KingAviationKid: Hey! Thanks for letting me know. While technically the Fandom user just copied from Wikipedia without proper attribution (which is not allowed and I will let the Fandom Wiki's admins know about that so they can take appropriate action), since I also edit on Fandom, I just blanked the page since you are not allowed to copy from Wikipedia without providing attribution. Also, I will not be telling you what my 10 favorite helicopters are for 2 reasons, 1. That is irrelevant to building an encyclopedia and 2. I'm not someone who's into aviation like you are and don't know the names of any helicopters (outside of the Chinook but that's just a well known military heli). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:35, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
Actually, I'm just going to leave it since it appears that the Wiki is inactive so it won't really matter too much. If it happens again I might contact someone on Fandom support to see if there's anything they can do about it since that is technically a copyright violation of Wikipedia. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:39, 7 January 2022 (UT

Blaze Wolf I have put some text on the page to tell why it was blanked. Expect more plagiarism soon (maybe even in 10 minutes)!

Question from KingAviationKid (15:53, 7 January 2022)

Hey I found more plagiarism for that helicopter article at 2. Why can't people just paraphrase the AH-56? --KingAviationKid (talk) 15:53, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

@KingAviationKid: That page is fine since they did provide appropriate attribution stating that the text was copied from Wikipedia. As long as they provide appropriate attribution then it's fine. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:57, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

ok got it KingAviationKid (talk) 15:58, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from KingAviationKid (14:56, 11 January 2022)

Hello, this was reverted 10 days ago, but take a look at this. I mean, seriously, Wikipedia is not the place to rant about games, YouTube is! --KingAviationKid (talk) 14:56, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

It looks like their contribs have been deleted. But you are indeed correct. In fact, Wikipedia has an entire policy related to what things Wikipedia isn't (located at WP:WWIN, short for What Wikipedia Is Not) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:05, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
@KingAviationKid: However, you should also remember WP:DENY. If there's vandalism, you revert it and then move on and don't talk about it unless you are reporting the user at WP:AIV. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:07, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Edits at Discord (software)

Hey! I saw your recent edits to the discord page on my watchlist, and noticed that you made a little mistake. You successfully reverted the edits that the other user made the first time, but then undid your edits and rolled back to the revision before what they added the image. This would usually be fine to do, because you thought you made a mistake getting rid of some potentially useful edits, but this wasn't the case. The only edits that this user made were moving the image around, so undoing all that they did would have been fine.

In short, you didn't need to rollback, undoing did the exact same thing. Make sure that in the future if you accidentally undo instead of rolling back, check to see if anything would actually be different if you had rolled back instead of undoing. We don't want to fill the page history with useless edits. Thanks, ― Levi_OPTalk 16:34, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Yep, I hadn't realized that they had simply undone their own edit. I sometimes forget that rollback undos all revisions by the same user. In this case it didn't matter but i hadn't really checked far enough back in the history to see they were undoing their own edit. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:44, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Edit undid

hello Blaze Wolf, I hope you got my explanation for editing the profile of Godswill Akpabio? Kindly respond. Cheers

@Kanye Ems: Hello Kanye. I reverted your edit because you had removed info that was reliably sourced. My friend ARoseWolf provided a much better explanation as to why your edit was reverted on your talk page. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:12, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Thank you

Hello! You've been a really awesome member of this community, and you've been respectful with our plurality. You seem like an awesome person, and I'm sorry we haven't been able to friend you on discord, a lot has been coming up. I wish to become closer to you, as you seem like a really helpful person who is really fun. Thank you for everything! -Remus V, Camilo, and Gretchen RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) 18:08, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Remus V, Camilo, and Gretchen, thank you for the kind message you 3. I'm always respective of everyone's beliefs or disorders or whatever, even if it may be something I myself don't necessarily agree with or understand because it is not my decision of what that person should think. You not friending me on Discord is perfectly fine. Everyone gets busy sometimes (even me, in fact I've started to get busy with school now that I'm back from winter break). I always do my best to be friendly on Wikipedia as I have no reason to not do so. Even when I'm doing anti-vandal work I try and be friendly. I take a look at the edits and determine what that appropriate warning would be if a warning is needed. If the edit isn't necessarily all that harmful but seems well meaning, I just revert the edit as being in good faith and also leave a message in the edit summary stating what they did wrong. Usually I never get a response from the user (usually if they make a good faith contribution, they make that edit and then never come back), however on the rare case I do it always makes me feel like I've done something helpful and remain friendly to the user and respond to them appropriately (whether it be telling them to take a look at a specific policy, or explaining a bit more why I undid their edit). It appears I've gone on a bit of a tangent here so I'll just finish up with again saying thank you for such the kind message. I always appreciate messages like this as they let me know that I am doing some good in the community. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:18, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Blaze is a very friendly Wolf. :) --ARoseWolf 18:59, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi Blaze Wolf. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

 • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
 • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
 • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
 • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
 • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY 00:53, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Corn Snake edits

Hi Blaze,

You recently removed my edits to the Corn Snake page for lack of citation. Although it is true I did not cite a source for my addition to the background of the snow cornsnake, it was indeed a correct statement having been in the industry for years. Why does it need to be cited when there are no citations for the other morphs. Case in point, there is no citation for the snow morph. Therefore, how does one know it even exists? Should it not be cited as well? Please help me understand why the mentioning of the background of a morph without a citation is removed but mentioning of the morph itself without a citation is acceptable. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Professormohr (talkcontribs) 21:23, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

@Professormohr: Hello mohr! I agree that those should also have citations. I reverted your edit despite the other morphs having no citations because yours could more easily be challenged since you stated it was manmade and most likely not able to be found in the wild. As to why the other morphs haven't been challenged already I'm not sure. I know articles on species are a bit more laxxed in their requirements so I would ask at WP:TEA and see if someone knows the answer. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:30, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
@Blaze Wolf: Hello Blaze! A recessive color variant in the wild in the cornsnake world is rare enough. Two being combined and then bred out to get the 1 in 16 double recessive variant is near impossible in the wild...especially since there has been no known amelanistic and anerytherisitc cornsnakes caught in the same population. Therefore, the only way to get that elusive 1 in 16 genetic chance is by selective breeding...hence "manmade". As far as a source, not sure where I would find a written source to document that as it was a pet industry thing and just happened when breeders combined the two and did selective breeding. I believe I've seen it in a few books, but I would have to find those and not sure if they are easy to cite. So, then, how do I add this fact if a citation is not easily acquired? Professormohr (talk) 13:20, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
@Professormohr: Hello again mohr! If it's in a book, you are able to cite book. However I don't know how to do so as I always have cited a website and not a book so that would be another thing to ask at the Teahouse. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:35, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Edit Source ---> Cite ---> Templates ---> cite book
From there just fill in the information and click Publish changes. --ARoseWolf 13:43, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Learn something new every day ...

I have just looked up "anatidaephobia" in Wiktionary. I was pleased to confirm that the word does exist, and has the meaning you said it has, but very disappointed that it was marked as "humorous". It would be much more fun if it were a real thing. Oh well, thanks for the information, anyway. JBW (talk) 21:21, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

@JBW: Yep, a user had actually informed me that it wasn't a real phobia and was simply a joke. I've kept it anyways since it's rather interesting. I learned it from my history teacher. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:22, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Mickey Leigh page.

Hello Blaze Wolf, I'm a new here) Just came across the page, and thought that I might help to improve it a bit. I can tell that the info is true and yeah, you made a mistake deleting it (sorry!). All the info can be proved & found on Mickey's personal site, just following by the link posted already in the existing article, so anyone can look at it. I feel a bit sorry because nobody seem to care, so my attempt also was discouraged - but truly, I meant no harm, to the page and to community aswell. Hope, however, that the info will help, somehow, and can be posted later. Safely. Have a nice day! /JG. UPD: Thank you kindly for your feedback, Wolf! With hope! ;) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.150.93.219 (talk) 00:31, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello JG, thank you for contacting me. I understand that having your edit reverted is a bit discouraging. However, here on Wikipedia, we require reliable sources to back up claims, especially on articles relating to people who are alive or recently died. This is covered in the Biography of living persons policy. I also understand that you meant no harm and were simply trying to be helpful. If it is true it will most likely be added back later with a proper source. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 03:12, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
No problem. If an IP I warn chooses to contact me (and when they contact me they aren't just like, "What you did was wrong because I say so!") I'm always willing to provide feedback as the IP contacting me shows that they genuinely want to try and be helpful. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:24, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi!

I do not know how to add and source and can you help me to put a source on and the pandas left in 2020 sorry for the typo? I have a question for you if that is ok with you? 2001:56A:7B14:CC00:DDF2:13F3:4A27:E79D (talk) 18:16, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

You are not adding correct info. You are removing reliably sourced parts of the article. I have added the info you have requested with sources. I have also added that the pandas have been returned to China. We don't remove things from an article just because they are outdated. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:23, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from KingAviationKid (19:40, 14 January 2022)

Hey I have found a way to make useful edits by either adding simple dates to infoboxes found in the article, fixing punctuation/capitalization errors, and adding sections based on information from another article (has reference usually) or personal experience (no reference). None of my edits from the past 5 days (or more) have been reverted. --KingAviationKid (talk) 19:40, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from Bookish Way of Life (05:04, 18 January 2022)

how can I write my own page/ article? --Bookish Way of Life (talk) 05:04, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

@Bookish Way of Life: Hello Bookish! It would depend on what you're wanting your article to be about. Before you even start to write an article, you want to determine whether or not the subject is notable. If you don't determine it's notable before writing the article then you may be wasting your time writing an article that will never make it out of draftspace. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:53, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Self-trouted

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Self-trout for forgetting to add File: when adding an image to Ford F-150 and being confused as to why it wasn't working. Good job me. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:52, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Pesky little command words get you every time. Other than that how is the journey going? Anything I can help you with since I'm here and you've been great at helping me? --ARoseWolf 15:15, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Nope not really. My journey's been pretty good so far. I've discovered that as amazing as Huggle seems it's rather confusing to use so I'm just sticking with RedWarn + Rollback for now. I've had to remove my trout button since people kept misusing it as a "new section" button to complain about me reverting their edits (which usually their edits should have been reverted). But other than that it's been pretty good. Doesn't really help that I'm super tired now because of school so I'm not as.... sharp (for lack of a better word that I Can think of) as I normally am and will probably make more mistakes than I usually do. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:18, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Well, as much as Wikipedia needs your editing and watchful eyes on the articles here, you need to make sure to take care of yourself too. Get the rest you need so you don't burn out. This place will be here. --ARoseWolf 15:21, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Yep, I'm doing my best to get enough rest. I've already managed to burn myself out on something once (it was after doing a 2k+ kilometer job in Euro Truck Simulator 2 in one sitting, in my uncomfortable chair that's falling apart) so I'm doing my best to make sure it doesn't happen again. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:23, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Question from ShilohStar8 (04:39, 20 January 2022)

Hello, Im new here and wanted to share my knowledge on an ancient healing modelity called Koaku. @ShilohStar8: Hello Shiloh. Please take a look at WP:N and WP:MEDRS, as well as WP:PROMO. One of your edits has already been reverted because it seems like advertising. Also, Wikipedia is not a place to Right great wrongs, which you might be doing based on the text that was on your talk page. Question from KingAviationKid (19:30, 19 January 2022)

Hey what happened to the main Wikipedia page? Have we gone back in time? --KingAviationKid (talk) 19:30, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) What would suggest that we've gone back in time? Looks totally normal to me. ― Levi_OPTalk 19:39, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia looks just fine to me. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:12, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

Talk page didn't archive

In your most recent diff you said Why are these set to not archive until 2031? I didn't put that there. I checked to see who added it and I found this diff. It appears as though you did add it. I think when you added it you mistyped 2031 and meant to put 2021. ― Levi_OPTalk 14:09, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

Ah probably. Either that or I just ued a template for 10 years and so that was what happened. I just noticed it when looking at my diff viewer for the latest archive and I noticed that apparently Lowercase sigmabot obeys the "do not archive until" thing even though it says "Cluebot III". I'll probably either manually archive or just let it automatically archive and them move them to a part of an archive where that would belong. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:14, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Yeah. The part that says User:DoNotArchiveUntil, according to the page User:DoNotArchiveUntil, works for all bots. I don't know why that and the cluebot ones were there. I also found this diff where you copy and pasted that little code snippet over and over again and put it all over your talk page. ― Levi_OPTalk 14:19, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Yep, that was because I was trying to stop the bot from archiving my page. I eventually just resorted to commenting out the bots code to stop the archival which has worked. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:22, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
I might eventually switch to Month Year based archiving which probably means I'll have to switch to Cluebot which doesn't regularly run (unless it's Cluebot NG which is always running and looking for vandalism). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:26, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

notoriety

here's the definition of notoriety- "the state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed." So chances are if you are notorious, you are also notable. You just may not like what people write.

Question from KingAviationKid (13:33, 26 January 2022)

I have two questions. First, why is User:BilCat seem to be going everywhere I go? He has been doing it since I first edited Wikipedia! Second, Draft:Eli Timoner is about the same thing as Eli Timoner. I would just deny the article, but I am not an admin, so I can't do that! How can I do something about the article? --KingAviationKid (talk) 13:33, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

@KingAviationKid: I can't explain why BilCat is following you (BilCat would you like to explain?). Second, if Draft:Eli Timoner is the exact same thing as Eli Timoner it can be deleted under speedy criteria G6, or the article can be deleted due ot it being non-notable meaning someone might've moved it to mainspace early. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:14, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Blaze, please AGF. Your response doesn't do that. @KingAviationKid:, I'm not following you in any way. I have over 14,000 articles on my watchlist, the majority of them aviation related. As that's your stated area of interest, most of your edits will show up on my watchlist. If they aren't correct, I correct them. It's as simple as that. BilCat (talk) 20:10, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
@BilCat: My apologies. I was assuming good faith but it appears that wasn't how I phrased it. I said "BilCat would you like to explain?" because I was intending to ask you to explain why it seemed like you were following them, even though I knew you werent. Since I wasn't you I couldn't explain why it seemed like you were following them. Again my apologies. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:35, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

There are other essays which you might find helpful on my UP if you venture into anti spam in future. Lastly, that isn’t mine anymore. Yes I understand that it isn't yours. I simply referring to it as your since it says you were the one who originally created it. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:54, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
that is very correct in that context. Celestina007 (talk) 19:03, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi. I understand why you self-reverted, however the ip's action was actually a cut and paste move, which is not allowed as per WP:CUTANDPASTE. Thanks for all you do on the project. Onel5969 TT me 11:38, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@Onel5969: I didn't know they had done a cut and paste move. Thank you for telling me. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 11:49, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
No worries. You do great work, so I thought you didn't know about the cut and paste, that's why I didn't simply leave an edit summary note. Felt too impersonal for such an experienced editor. Onel5969 TT me 11:51, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
@Onel5969: Even when I look at the history I still don't see the cut and paste move unless you're referring to it on the other article. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 11:54, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, all the history is in this article, the ip simply cut and paste it to NET.. Which is the cut and paste. That's what you didn't see when you self-reverted. Whenever I come across an article which has been redirected, I always check the other article to see if it's cut and paste. Happens quite frequently. Onel5969 TT me 11:58, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
@Onel5969: Ah ok. I had simply looked at the talk page and saw that the dude who closed the RM 1. Is now blocked and 2. did an inappropriate WP:NAC. Didn't check for a cut and paste move since I thought all the IP was doing was creating a redirect. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 12:00, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
I probably average about 2 a day of these cut and paste moves over at NPP, so you get used to knowing what to look for. Regardless, keep up the good work. Onel5969 TT me 12:08, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

Universe or multiverse?

So from the urban dictionary: 3. dimension (n) pl. dimensions: An alternate universe or a parallel universe, the latter usually referred to in fiction. Mario's home world is called universe and dimension The levels are called dimensions Chapter 4 level is literally called universe in Japanese So universe = dimension and the word multiverse is more fitting Ballou123 (talk) 20:35, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@Ballou123: Urban Dictionary is not a reliable source, per WP:RSP. ––FormalDude talk 20:45, 28 January 2022 (UTC) (talk page watcher)

Cool, still doesn't refute my argument, you cannot ignore how the word another dimension is referred as another universe in fiction, pretty much even if you ask anyone about this they will answer you like how i answered Ballou123 (talk) 20:52, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@Ballou123: Hello Ballou. Wikitionary's definition of dimension in fiction is "A universe or plane of existence." So you are correct that technically multi-verse would be correct in the sense of the word being multiple universes. However I think dimension would still be better as it would be more understandable to others in the sense that the game uses them. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:27, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
If you'd like I could start a discussion on the talk page of the article to see if editors think "multi-verse" or "dimension" would be the better word to use on the page. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:28, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

I think you mean multiverse or "universe" since it was originally universe in the page, also i don't mind Ballou123 (talk) 21:36, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@Ballou123: Ah yep thank you for correcting me. I'm working on creating the discussion right now. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:51, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

You have edited my user page without permission. If this keeps happening, you may get Souji-ed.--Alex Mitchell of The Goodies (talk) 00:28, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

@Alex Mitchell of The Goodies: I had a valid reason to edit your userpage. You had a template on your page that is only used on file pages which should not be on any userpage. Also, do not edit my userpage to just leave a message. That's the entire reason this talk page exists. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:40, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Your user page belongs to the community, be under no illusion about that. An explanation: When your user page looks like this, you are polluting a working main namespace encyclopaedia category, and therefore wasting people time (including admin time). You are not a video game cover. -- zzuuzz (talk) 02:03, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

I also know the difference. Don't just swing your nuts around because you have such a cool prominence on the Wiki. By standards, it's not vandalism.
In fact, I'd go as for to say that YOUR edit was vandalism. :) 2406:5A00:B4E9:2F00:9178:E288:B224:7927 (talk) 16:41, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Maybe you should take a look at WP:BLP then. You changed it to be ...Jennings II" which is not what it is sourced as. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:42, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Here is my assessment: Adding "II" was incorrect but much more likely to be a good faith error than deliberate vandalism. His father's legal name was Wayland Arnold Jennings. His name was obviously inspired by his father's name but not the same. "Vandalism" should be reserved for indisputable cases, and this is not one of them. Cullen328 (talk) 16:59, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
In all fairness, the bot called it potential vandalism when it reverted the change beforehand. I don't know the protocol for reverting a bot action but had it been an editor that reverted initially then the IP would have been in violation of WP:BRD. Whether violating BRD can be something done in good faith or not is up for debate. I believe had Blaze simply repeated the exact wording of the bot or further elaborated upon WP:BRD then I think he would have been fine. --ARoseWolf 17:11, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Yes, the bot got it right for the wrong reasons. Worth remembering is that BRD is encouraged and widely practiced, but it is optional. We certainly cannot expect most IP editors to be familiar with it. Cullen328 (talk) 17:44, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
It might be optional but I've seen a failure to follow it brought out in discussion as an example of edit warring. It is offered as a way to refrain from being caught up in it. I don't expect an IP editor to be familiar with it or most any policy/guideline/suggestive action until they are exposed to it. That's why I suggested Blaze utilize it in an edit summary rather than call it vandalism which it is not. Even good faith editors can be caught up in edit warring when they are trying to force their point of view rather than enter into discussion to gain consensus. No editor is above that once they have been informed, whether they be new/unregistered or experienced editors. --ARoseWolf 18:36, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
@ARoseWolf: I used to always welcome users before ever warning them in the past, however after I read something (I think it was from the signpost) that said that welcome messages didn't really affect editor retention, I simply stopped welcoming users before I warned them since I saw no point to it after that. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:38, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
To each their own but welcoming newly registered members that have made good faith edits, to me, is an excellent way to build an effective collaborative community. I don't base its effectiveness on the overall numerical results. If it retains even one then it was worth a thousand welcomes. --ARoseWolf 18:43, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
@ARoseWolf: Yes that is true. I do still welcome users who made edits that are genuinely helpful (such as users who revert vandalism) since it's also a way to show that what they do is appreciated and seen. I have even considered temporarily switching up my RC filters to only show good edits so that I can 1, welcome any new users that make helpful edits and 2, meet and interact other editors that I otherwise would normally never see. I mainly haven't because I'm lazy but just patrolling recent changes and reverting vandalism on sight has started to get boring. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:46, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Anything can get boring on Wikipedia. I've discussed this with more experienced editors than I. If you are looking for fireworks every day then I would suggest going to Disney. Most editing is mundane and some can even get repetitive. You just have to be careful in the reverting and vandalism side of things, Blaze. As in the case above and the one below, good faith edits were reverted, one being called vandalism when it was not. Even if, in the case of the mistake above, you are ultimately proven correct in your action to revert the reason behind it was flawed. Cullen is correct in that. But everyone makes mistakes. I think anyone that has edited here for a time can agree but part of improvement is recognizing this, acknowledging it, taking corrective steps and moving forward with the updated trajectory. --ARoseWolf 18:53, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Fazran fayad on User talk:Fazran fayad (10:33, 2 February 2022)

Hello,
I need a help which I couldn't solve it due to some stressed minded. There are only 4 problems which I had faced, I hope you might help me as a mentor.
I had uploaded 4 images to the official [wikipedia where now there are requesting to provide some stuff of discussion or something which I had never faced before as I had followed the guildline very carefully without been corrupted or without any violation would faced.
1.File:Actor Ilavarasu.jpg for this file -- here
2.File:Actress Athulya Ravi.jpg for this file -- here
3.File:Gvm best music director for asuran.jpg for this here
4.File:Sivaangi interview @ mediaMasons.jpg for this here
Firstly had announced that to be followed fair use there are some condition saying that resolution of the image doesn't matches and later I made it more suitable for the fair use where else they had mentioned this saying before remaking the resolution, a bot will involve and matches it according to the fair use, but later I had matched it. Later, a template is published on the above files as saying that this to be deleted within 2 days. I hope you may involve in this for the support of me to show whether if there is any violation took placed you may guild me and further I had taken those images from twitter officials where I had clearly mentioned on those files.
I hope you might reply soon as before those are been deleted. I hope you may help me as a mentor in this case. Thank you. 😐 --TFE 10:33, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

At WP:TH you said you "... still have no clue how to use the unsigned template and have it automatically insert the username and timestamp". Teahouse Answers

When a new editor demands to know how to create an article, it is behoove of hosts , to tell them all its intricacies (policies) as a precursor to expressly telling them how to create one. if the latter comes before the former or isn’t included at all “in any given response” as I observe in your response, it isn’t helpful, at best, it may be premature and get the editor very confused when the article they have created is being inundated with tags and possible deletion, it’s usually best to let them know, (what they are likely to encounter beforehand) I note you link to YFA, while that is good, a newer editor needs things spelled out for them. moving forward, keep this in mind when answering questions pertaining the creation of an article. I was looking through your userboxes and I saw the reddit one that you'd made. At first I thought that there was nothing over in the icon area, but then saw the arrows. You are correct I shouldn’t have mentioned ANI, it is indeed not a nice place. Hounding wasn’t the appropriate word for me to use to describe the situation. All is well, do take care of yourself and remain safe. Peace Profound. Celestina007 (talk) 19:17, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Gina S Kennedy (14:11, 13 February 2022)

Hello Good morning. I’m a digital artist trying to publish my name can you help? --Gina S Kennedy (talk) 14:11, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Gina S Kennedy: Please see Wikipedia:Writing about yourself wizzito | say hello! 14:17, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
@Gina S Kennedy: Hello Gina! Unfortunately if you are not notable then you will not get an article. Wikipedia isn't really a place for you to publish your name. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:11, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for deleting the photo and explaining how it is done! And no, he is not paying me - we were on a hike and somehow this came up and he asked me if I knew how to do it. As you saw, I didn't! Thanks again.

Sbmalone (talk) 20:19, 13 February 2022 (UTC) Sara

@Sbmalone: No problem! That just looks very weird having 2 of the exact same image on there. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:22, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Please move a page

I am not autoconfirmed so please move Congloganis howesi to Congoglanis howesi. Calgary341 (talk) 02:02, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

@Calgary341: Why? What is your reasoning? I'd rather not move a page if I don't see any clear reasoning. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 02:10, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
It is a typographical error. Read the reference in the article. It is found in the Congo River basin. Cullen328 (talk) 02:14, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Wolves

Blaze, you can email me anytime. Please be safe! I know its scary but we wolves stick together. Everything will be okay. You can, of course remove this but I just wanted to offer encouragement to a wiki-friend. ;) --ARoseWolf 14:00, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

@ARoseWolf: I understand that you are trying to be nice, however I'm going to avoid interacting with you any further for the time being due to some concerns that were expressed towards you. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:03, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
Oh, I understand. --ARoseWolf 14:06, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
Due to concerns mentioned I will remove your page from my watchlist and I won't comment further on your talk page or interact with your comments wherever they are. --ARoseWolf 14:11, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
@RemusSandersRegretsEverything: Hello RSRE! Someone has managed to figure out who I am in real life and contacted my parents (which is even more worrying because I don't use my parent's email for anything anymore, I use my own). They mentioned some concerns having to do with RoseWolf which, while I don't know if those claims are valid, I am being cautious and temporarily avoiding interacting with RoseWolf. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:33, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
That's- creepy. And thank you for sharing. If it is alright for me to ask other questions later, I would like to understand the topic a little more! Skeleton RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) (pronouns) 21:40, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
@RemusSandersRegretsEverything: That will depend on the questions you are wanting to ask. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:59, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
Nothing personal of course (: -El Skeleton RemusSandersRegretsEverything (talk) (pronouns) 00:03, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@RemusSandersRegretsEverything: Well go ahead and ask your questions and if I'm willing to answer them then I will. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:34, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@Blaze Wolf: hope you are okay. Abusive/controlling parents suck. wizzito | say hello! 01:26, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@Wizzito: Wait what? Where did you get that idea? I never said anything about my parents being abusive or controlling. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 04:28, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
IDK, I figured that since you were distressed about someone telling your parents. wizzito | say hello! 04:29, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@Wizzito: I'm only distressed about that because they somehow managed to find out who my parents are and how to contact them. The only real connection I have to them would be through my email, and even then it's only to recover my email if it's somehow lost. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 04:33, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
Way to go, internets. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 05:38, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
Blaze Wolf did your parents get mad at you at all? did they even see the message? wizzito | say hello! 06:02, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@Wizzito: This is getting close to being rather personal. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:45, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
My apologies, just know that I really feel bad for you in this situation. BTW @Ferret: he has already requested oversight, see the history on his user page. wizzito | say hello! 22:14, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@RemusSandersRegretsEverything: I'll be unable to use Discord for a while for personal reasons. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:38, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

The chatter on this topic probably needs to stop. Blaze, I strongly advise you stop posting personal details on Wikipedia, if not anywhere on the internet. I strongly advise you edit your user page to simply state your age, and not exact birthday, and request oversight. I understand you feel there's no need. This is the last time I'll advise you should do it. -- ferret (talk) 20:58, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

@Ferret: I'm confused. I've already done so. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:53, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
I missed that. My advice stands though. -- ferret (talk) 01:12, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Yep I know. And I'm doing my best to refrain from saying anything that might reveal some more about who I am behind the screen. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 01:18, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

You probably don't want my advice, but reading the above, I would suggest (if you haven't already) that you forward the mail (and any information surrounding it) to either ArbCom or to Trust & Safety: no one should contact you like this out of the blue, so both this and (if there is any credibility to them) the claims they made should be known to and investigated by either of these groups. Unwanted real life contacts are one of the biggest no-go zones on Wikipedia, and are normally not tolerated at all. If you contact these, it may be best to ask them for advice about what to do with this discussion and anything else that may be related, as it may need deletion or oversighting. Fram (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

@Fram: Hello Fram! If you check out TNT's talk page they've said that they already told the trust and safety team about the situation. The only issue I've run into is not having access to my email for the time being. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:15, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Okay, I'll leave it in your and their hands then, I'm happy it's being dealt with. No one should invade your privacy like this. Fram (talk) 08:21, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Your Teahouse response

This question was asked and you suggested taking it to "Facebook's support team, if one exists". Well, it has been my experience recently that one does NOT exist, or if it does, they don't try and they don't care.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:58, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Blaze has no association with Facebook. If you're having a problem with it, and the support team can't help, then stop using it. ― Tuna NoSurprisesPlease 22:23, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
If Blaze doesn't want to help with this, Blaze doesn't have to. I'll find someone else.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 23:25, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
Not my problem. Nothing I can do to help you with that. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:34, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
I found the place to ask. We'll see what happens.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 23:46, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello!

Please do not revert. I am translating this to the Korean version of the document. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zerosicarius (talkcontribs) 01:38, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

@Zerosicarius: That is not a good reason to remove a whole bunch of content from the article. Leave the page as it is and then change it as you need to. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:45, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
