Hi. FYI, folks are trying again to delete the prematurely deceased entertainer categories at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 January 17#Entertainers who died.... Britpop[edit]
Hi, I see you're working on the Britpop articles. I've left a comment on the list deletion page (agreeing with you). Rgarding Robbie Williams' inclusion on the list, I did consider removing him but on balance I felt he probably belonged. I know he was the dancer from Take That and all that, but he did ride the wave of Britpop. I don't care for the fella myself but he's a stronger keep than ludicruous inclusions such as Neds Atomic Dustbin! What do you think? --kingboyk 20:37, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
I am affraid Jarvis Cocker explained in Live Forever documentary that he as most of the Britpop peers were taking cocaine like a cup of tee. I think that all famous bands during this time took much drugs, including Blur, Oasis and Pulp, so I certainly don't know why the hell not tell it, that Jarvis was having problems with drugs, which is obviously true. CfD for Category:Films by author[edit]
I am posting this message to all participants so far in the 2007 April 22 CfD for Category:Films_by_author, because there appears to be a consensus to keep this category, and also to standardise the naming format. However there is so far no consensus on what format should be used for the standardisation. I have no opinion on any of this myself, but have suggested that this CfD be left open a little longer for discussion of the renaming, and you may wish to revisit the CfD to clarify your preferences ... otherwise I think it is likely that we will likely have anoter CfD on the same categories, which seems like avoidable duplication of effort. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:58, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. As pretty much the only consistent editor to The Make-Up, I thought you might like to know that The Make-Up and The Make-Up discography are both Featured Article/Featured list candidates. What's going on with that[edit]
What's going on with the Holocaust deaths by occupation categories is that I nominated them for deletion based on the trivial nature of the intersection between a person's occupation and "died in the Holocaust" was a trivial intersection because none of the people were killed because of their occupation. Several editors who rarely if ever edit outside Judaism-related articles decided that deleting these categories was somehow about Judaism and made arguments about how they document anti-Semitism or the impact of the Holocaust on the arts in Europe and what-not. Not a shred of evidence was given that the occupation of any of these people was a factor in their deaths but the issue was obscured sufficiently to allow the closing admin enough cover to close them as "keep". Hi there Bienfuxia. I really like the graph that you uploaded to Commons displaying the number of #1s on the UK Singles Chart since 1953. I'm quite keen to see if I can get List of UK Singles Chart number ones to featured list status, and your image certainly would improve the article.
