Reliable sources[edit]
Hi Bh5unhedu. Thank you for your contributions to Millen Brand. You might want to review Wikipedia:Reliable sources in reference to the Millen Brand papers. Those would need to be published to be used as a reliable source, otherwise, such use is considered as Wikipedia:No original research. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 20:36, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. I now understand that references to archival material is not the right style. What about citing a published article or poem by a writer as evidence of the author’s success at publishing?

- It can be tricky, Bh5unhedu. In Wikipedia, we're supposed to confine ourselves to paraphrasing (and citing) published sources. In doing so, we often have to restrain ourselves from injecting our personal knowledge, no matter how well-founded it may be. So, a published source would have to have written about the following items for them to be included:
- In 1942 he worked as a Senior Information Specialist in the Office of Civilian Defense's Emergency Management Department.
- Based on his experience with Rosen's methods, Brand wrote....
- He also taught in the writing programs at the University of New Hampshire and New York University.

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
