February 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Goalglobal", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 15:32, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: Hi there. I notice you submitted a request to change your name. Unfortunately you made a typing error - please go back and add }} (just those two characters) after what you typed. I would fix it myself, but that would cause my signature to automatically appear, not yours. Sorry, I know this is a pain! Our templates can be tricky for new editors. — Scott talk 16:59, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Goal.com edits[edit]

Goal is the largest football website in the world, ComScore with 36 country editions and over 530 reporters on the ground in 50+ countries.[1] Goal provides users with the breaking news, live scores, match previews, editorials, exclusives, and latest club news.[2] In February 2011, Perform Group, the leading global digital media player, headed by Oli Slipper and Simon Denyer acquired Goal for $30m. The growth of Goal is ongoing, since being taken over turnover and traffic has doubled, breaking records in daily traffic as well as monthly. The summer 2013 Transfer Deadline Day resulted in a record 5.9m unique users and 53m page views in just one day. In addition, Goal welcomed 50m unique users to the website in January 2014 – achieving 1 billion page views in the same month. [3] Babsy99 (talk)

That looks awfully promotional, although it may be that the original article is as well. --j⚛e deckertalk 18:43, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
