Short description

That is a short description? Debresser (talk) 17:30, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

Debresser, no it isn't - think I had brain freeze after doing too many. Have corrected it. Thanks. Ayenaee (talk) 17:57, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
I changed one word. It should be specifically "skin". Sorry for the misleading edit summary, a result of subsequent edits. Debresser (talk) 19:27, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

cameron whitten

hi i'm just curious why this edit ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cameron_Whitten&diff=prev&oldid=1183176875 ) is under Personal Life. this is not his personal life - this is his professional life. shouldn't this have a Controversy section, and more explanation of the allegations, give their serious nature [deleted allegations]. thanks. 172.58.139.161 (talk) 10:08, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi 172.58.139.161. Thanks for bringing this up. I did apply my mind when considering whether or not to include the detailed allegations in my edit.
This article isn’t in my main scope of interest. I just came across it and noticed that the Personal Life section contained limited detail of the controversy which hadn’t been updated for a couple of years. I brought it up to date but didn’t change the structure of the article. I agree that the content would fit better in a separate section, and I’ve made that change.
There is however a fine line between giving additional detail of the allegations, and breaching BLP:People accused of a crime. These allegations have been tested once and declared unfounded (You could say there’s potential bias and COI in that declaration because the report was requisitioned by his company and we only have the chairman’s statement of what that report said or that the investigation even happened. I can’t find any actual public report. So we have to rely on the sources reporting what the chairperson said.) So all we have about the allegation are a limited number of reports of the law suite (stating the allegations) which mainly seem to be copies of each other. I don’t think this meets the requirements of the BLP Public Figures exception. So until the suit is complete I don’t think it’s appropriate to report the allegations. If you think there are good WP:RS to do so, I suggest you start a conversation on the talk page to reach agreement rather than possibly breach WP:BLP. You’re welcome to quote my response. [In an excess of caution I’ve removed the allegations from your post above]. Ayenaee (talk) 13:04, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Structure of Jewish Tefilot requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/ana-bkoach-a-portal-to-creation/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks User:Sphilbrick. I appreciate your thoroughness. The copyvio material (which is only part of the page - the rest is my working) was only there for me to summarise in my own words for the article - I would have removed it once done. But I see how this is copy vio. I have now removed the material you tagged and other similar notes from the page (and therefore contested the speedy delete). Is it possible to delete the tag now that I’ve removed the material so that it doesn’t get deleted by mistake? Sorry for the hassle. Ayenaee (talk) 15:18, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
Done. Thanks for attending to this - the rainimg material looks interesting. S Philbrick(Talk) 15:37, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

Re: Ana BeKoach in popular culture

Re: use of video links. Following Wikipedia:Video links, I think it is perfectly fine as it is being used as a reference for the inclusion of an ancient poem in an Israeli hip-hop song. Obviously if there are news articles that mention this fact, I'd include them as well (so far I have seen articles refer to the song and note a shift in his music toward greater religiosity but dont specify the inclusion of the poem). I.am.a.qwerty (talk) 09:51, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

Re: Faruk's page. the Hebrew page has quite a bit more info. I've added an expand template to reflect that. I.am.a.qwerty (talk) 09:53, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I did enjoy the music, never heard Hebrew rap before. Ayenaee (talk) 10:54, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi

I was happy since 2 days ago to see that you showed collaboration of whoever wants to meanwhile make rewrites to the "Alumim" article while warmly sharing about your tight life-work schedule with the sad imogy. And I can understand, in my case it's not work which I couldn't do for a month, because of rather recent health-issues, hospital treatments and before some stomach surgery I need to do soon, and with all the stress in my country Israel.

So I want to extend this feel and collaboration for after you managed to make (well done!) material additions and after I'v read your explanations on the Alumim talk page, except for anticipation that others for now won't directly rewrite or add, before discussing. I understand your eagerness and emotion to your work, however, others may unfortunately come afterwards and maybe heavily rewrite us and others again. And just the same, I hope you can understand my will to keep, and to directly equally edit as I now did (under ARBPIA 1-revert of course), a previous contribution I'v made (while you said others are welcome to rewrite as well). An edit which has proper attribution with an attached source, as part of my previous smaller rewrite. It's a relatively very small addition which still jells with your newer edits as further info to what exactly would be "war crimes" as you now added with the +1 Guardian source. And anyway, this is pretty much the only thing that bothered me in the article, which otherwise I think looks great and reach after your work.

So I came here, because I mainly wanted to talk to you about this, which isn't really about the article itself but for working together with further pleasantness in case I would find something else and deeper in the article, which I will then love to first discuss with you and others (I didn't thoroughly read everything yet). Or, to discuss here or on the talk about my current small changes if you find something which doesn't feel right to you.

I also came here as I have few other related stuff for things said at other places which I think were mostly misunderstandings but still came across also a bit unpleasant, if you're willing to talk about this too here or preferably on mail. However, I don't see a mail option. If I missed it and it's okay to send you, I would love to write in private. Or otherwise here, if that's still okay. BTW, I saw on your user page a South Africa project and that you're involved in quite a few Wikipedia projects. If I can ask, are you from South Africa and happened to attended Wikimania conference at least once? If so, I think we've met. אומנות (talk) 02:44, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi אומנות, thanks for the message. I’m sorry to hear about your bad health and wish you a refuah shleimah. My editing issues are only about trying to balance work and non-work stuff which isn’t as bad (b’h). I also wish we were meeting over happier issues than the Alumim article. Although I believe that it is necessary to record what’s happening in a wiki way for the future, I can’t imagine how terrible it must be living through the war at the moment.
I am a South African but I haven’t been to wikimania so I don’t think we’ve met unfortunately, maybe in future.
I would be delighted to work with you on wiki issues and articles. So that you know, my main editing has been WikiGnoming which isn’t normally controversial. But when I do bigger controversial edits (like Alumim), my philosophy is to leave my emotions and biases out of the editing. I try to be as collaborative as possible, taking into account opinions which might be totally against mine. This is sometimes difficult, but the only way to develop the encyclopedia is to ensure that everyone gets heard.
I haven’t put up an email, because for personal reasons I need to keep my private and editing lives separate. I also don’t believe it is conducive to collaboration or consensus to have off-wiki discussions about on-wiki issues. For now I’ll keep it that way, although I’ll think of ways we can discuss personal issues offline which I feel comfortable with.
In terms of your edit, I would like to discuss it further. I left the actual actions out after applying my mind to the source, but I understand why you put them back. I think this isn’t a minor issue, since it relates to how we use possibly coerced statements even when they are reported on by reliable resources (this applies whether the video of a hamas prisoner or a kidnapped Israeli). I would therefore like to discuss this further, but if you don’t mind I’ll do it on the article’s talk page so that we can get other’s opinions. Ayenaee (talk) 20:02, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
Thank you very much! And for the Hebrew blessing! Discovered today at the doctor's I have to go to emergency tomorrow, for potential surgery in few days which can require hospitalization on the spot. Sorry to dump this; just to explain I may won't be able to respond for few days at "Alumim" talk. Yeah I also wish we would talk under different circumstances. I talked and danced with a girl from South Africa, involved with Wikimedia projects, at a Wikimania-party in Sweden, and from your user-page therefore thought maybe... but also figured it's still a long shot. The situation is still lots of rockets, with people evacuated at the north away from Lebanon's missiles and from the Gaza envelope. I saw your message right after rockets exploded above my city. I'm mostly concerned for my dog (Cocker Spaniel bread), shakes from the "booms"; I try covering her ears every time.
Sure, I understand you talked in general about not operating mail for potential wiki-editing conversations, besides keeping privacy which is perfectly understandable, and that you referred to talk about other private stuff on other possible platforms, I just want to stress that for me I meant to talk only about communication and why I sometimes feel hesitant to edit within heated environments as ARBPIA (only made 2 edits 2 years ago and now those 4-5 at Alumim) but want to be more active in this as well. So, not about stuff as private coordination of comments or "votes" on article's pages or anything of the sort.
I wanted to talk here just about stuff which made me feel a bit, kind of, "left out", when first happening to see your comments about "Alumim" in other venues and your rewrite. Because I read "WP:ANI" page a lot now (and "WP:AE") like reading books, for of the issues between editors in the war articles (and "Ein Hashlosha Massacre" talk page), and felt some misunderstandings when you felt some editors at "Alumim" may don't want to understand policies, or pointing that the article uses "terrorists"; after I already changed that few days ago, since as you, I do my best to be neutral and detached when editing.
Then, after I first wrote to you here, and because another user edited "Alumim", I clicked his talk too out of curiosity and saw you explaining to him about the video edit which you removed. Then I understood you had a specific problem with this edit. Before I thought you accidentally removed and forgot putting those details back during your rewrite. That's why I felt bits of misunderstandings, or not noticing my work, and not blending in. So... that's basically what I wanted to talk to you here or on mail, as I'm also keen to work with you and others and of course love to comment and read varied opinions in transparent on-wiki manner; when the atmosphere is overall pleasant. And why I didn't really assume you had an issue with the edit, I spontaneously said we can talk here, or still at the article. Sorry for the mix up. I understand though it's not minor issue, I should had been clearer I was thinking "small" in terms of just adding few words - quantity wise, within your overall work.
So hope you understand, also the things I felt before. Now I feel better in regards to discuss the article itself at its talk page - after sharing this, and from talking to you on your page as others did with you; and from your very warm comment here and the article talk which contains your understanding for my edit along with introducing your view. I also understand your view. I do have some counter points and examples of other cases for the video details. I may reply tomorrow if I go back home or in few days after hospitalization. Anyway now I know I can discuss the edit maybe in few days (even if after you decide to revert or someone else decides, or others already commenting and gaining consensus), I know my further views will still be taken into consideration and heard, thanks to your kindness and collaboration, thank you :-) אומנות (talk) 01:44, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
I hope you’re feeling better. What you’re going through doesn’t sound good. And the war can’t be helping. I get stressed from reading about all the death in the detail I do to edit articles. I worked on another massacre article yesterday (Yakhini) and some of the refs made me tear up. It must be beyond horrendous living through it.
I understand about reading AN/I. For a long time I also lurked there, it’s like an other-world opera sometimes. It does make it more scary to edit in a major way. All the three letter words about being subjective, civil and not taking things personally sound good in theory but are difficult in practice because of the huge range of opinions and emotions you get when dealing with people all over the world. What the encyclopedia is trying to do (record human knowledge) is a worthwhile goal. It does slowly move towards this unfinishable task even if the steps along the way are difficult.
Asfar as,editing is concerned I think you should be bold and edit whatever you want. But be willing to stop and listen to others (even where you totally disagree) and try to find commonality. And when you feel your anger rising step away and go edit an uncontroversial cartoon article (if there is one 😃) or walk your dog.
Speaking of dogs, I had golden cocker spaniel when I was younger called Zahav (I give all my dogs who don’t have names Hebrew names). I have a chihuahua now who is also terrified of loud noise (we have almost daily thunder storms here from late spring to end of summer). Nothing works completely (I’ve also tried covering her ears). What works a bit for me is holding her tightly, and playing soothing music but very loudly to drown out the noise. As I said nothing works perfectly.
in terms of the video edit on Alumim. I think we understand each other’s opinion on the issue (as I’ve said there). Unless someone else comments - which they haven’t yet - I think we can leave things as they are. Both ways of expressing the issue are true to the source. I wouldn’t revert someone for having a valid but different opinion. Discussion as we’ve done is better.
Forgive me if I don’t answer posts quickly. I only have a few hours for Wikipedia and am spending much more time editing now. But I will answer. Cheers Ayenaee (talk) 14:26, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
I'm sorry, I thought and planned to write back almost every day for the past 2 weeks and actually started (over few days) already last week; after few days of going to hospitals and further medical testing appointments arrangements, my mind and my health issues still further kept me off editing Wikipedia. And the sirens, as well as other distressing forum-comments here on Wikipedia by emotional people against Israel kept distressing me, and which I don't know if to react and seeking help also from "trust and safety" of Wikimedia; along with many more missiles which kept being fired at Israel the past days and my dog's ongoing stress. You actually answered quite quickly and with much care, even though you're also busy in life and in Wiki editing, so I greatly thank you for this, as the only current positive ray-of-light-thing I experiance on Wikipedia right now.
My main wish at first was to communicate in regards to some misunderstandings I thought you may for the first edits and editors' motives at "Alumim massacre" (from what I saw you commented at other venues) which was hurting a bit, and to explain that I therefore wished to directly communicate with you. But already 2 weeks ago I saw you're okay that someone already adds or rewrites something on top of your rewrites; and that you're very friendly to everyone. And thank you deeply for your further reply and sharing also about your cute dogs!
I also wasn't sure if to reply at "Alumim messacre" or just make a remark here (which also postponed my reply here), as I saw no one else replied there to the video, and that you roll with my edit. So I'll just share to get the chance and out of respect to your dedicated views on the article's talk (unless/until someone replies at the article talk) – my view is that since the interrogation video already pointed to be under "unverified circumstances" with the "alleged" and "reportedly" which I added – then balances by attribution of doubts-framing to give the actual info; otherwise omits the "meat" of what was alleged and may result in unethical pointing of the video to say Israel's IDF may lie or "forced him" while eliminating-belittling knowledge to what the terrorists allegedly did, and further since you referenced "will be war crimes" I further felt requires detailing what/which. I also agree under many such situations people can be forced to say more stuff, but from the way I saw IDF (in videos) interrogations and from knowing what Hamas is capable of and with more pilling proofs to terror actions on civilians, it just the same may seem likely that what he said in the video did happen, but that's more my view in comparison to your view of interrogation situations.
And for the removal of another edit I made (another video shows Hamas speaking in general while pointing "Alumim", that they were ordered to kill and not kidnapped which was removed), I was trying to balance by showing Hamas side-claims, just to explain; otherwise I'm fine with this not being included as anyway they did eventually kidnapped and tortured. So I understand the removal. So... that's just what I wanted to say in regards to the article. Thank you again for your work on the article, your warm discussion on the materials, your work also on "Yachini massacre" and other such difficult subjects. Thank you especially for doing this in light of the difficulty you expressed when reading the material which made you cry; I also shad few tears the past 1.5 month when seeing families and friends of murdered and kidnapped people crying on TV and then also the news anchors many times started crying and couldn't speak, then I shed some tears too.
My Cocker Spaniel is also golden, I like that you called yours after the Hebrew word for "GOLD" and in general I like the "Z"-"HA"-"V" syllables-sound of this Hebrew word. It's my 3rd dog since I was little. All 3 are female American Cocker Spaniels. The first one was also golden, the 2nd (which a year ago after arguments I unwillingly put to sleep) was tricolor – white, black, and bits of ginger (mainly on her face), and the current golden one, which is about 2.5 years old. Her name is the Hebrew pronunciation of the month of July (also my birthday – as we say in Hebrew, her name is "Yuli". I hope to keep contributing before my surgery finally takes place. I would also be happy to keep talking whenever, and I'll also respond quicker (sorry again) at least until the surgery on December 26th, maybe I'll get a visit from Santa; though we don't celebrate here Christmas, part of why we also have those issues-articles we edit haha…). I hope that during January I won't be in pain and of course that the doctors will finally see and state any elimination that the tumor didn't develop to cancer, while unlikely, it became very big by now, so just this also needs to be verified and then I'll be calm. אומנות (talk) 18:46, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
Sorry I haven’t answered quickly this time. My wiki-time is limited right now. I’m trying to focus on what I enjoy - which is updating prayer articles. I’ve done Baruch Adonai Le'Olam and am working on Ana b'Koach. I basically rewrote both which was fun. I learned an amazing amount, especially about Kabbalah on the second one. I think my Hebrew improved (Had to read Talmud, Zohar etc). The problem is my Biblical Hebrew is ok, but not so much my modern Hebrew. I’ve been to Israel twice, and I couldn’t keep up with Israeli’s :).
I hope you’re feeling better since your hospital visits. When will your surgery be? The bombimg sounds terrible. I assume the cease fire helped.
As for wiki stuff. I’m being philosophical about it. The whole world, doesn’t depend on Wikipedia for current events and some of the articles are ridiculously biased - I don’t think most people are stupid, the readers won’t be fooled. I updated the Yakhini massacre article after it was AfD nominated. It was still merged with all the references to individual people killed removed. I tried my best, but it didn’t work. I moved them into a little יזכור page I maintain for myself. So at least they’ll be remembered somewhere on Wikipedia. I’ve included the Alumim people, but surprisingly that one hasn’t come up for AfD. I was also surprised that most Tevach articles brought up for AfD have been retained. So not all doom and gloom. But Wikipedia, and some of the hatred directed at us (whether under the name of Zionists, Jews, or some other euphemism) is like a tidal wave and can overwhelm you if you let it. You and I can’t remake current event articles into our own image. So if it bothers you too much rather stay away. Edit some other articles that interest you.
Ive decided I’ll only work on one "current" Jewish/Israeli topic at a time, so that if I don’t succeed, it won’t effect me too much emotionally. Right now it’s about the main image on the "Jews" page.
I don’t think trust and safety can help. The people who concern you follow wiki-policy to the letter. So what can t&s say. I think they’d be toothless in this situation.
I think we can leave the Alumim video issue alone. As I said I understand your perspective, and you’re correct no one has responded to my query. At least if someone queries it we can say it was brought up but no one disputed it.
Nice dog name.
We’ll chat later.
שלום Ayenaee (talk) 21:52, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi אומנות, I just realized I didn’t ping you in my answer above. Are you still well? Ayenaee (talk) 17:35, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
Hey I'm so sorry... I checked here like 2 times the first days, then after another week saw you replied (before you pinged). Then I was invested much in finding and adding material in an article related to Jews (similarly as you pointed you discussed and worked on the Jews article :-) ).
That along and before some sporadic days of small physical pains and discomfort but still... where I also laid a lot in bed also from emotional state with more arrangements and few appointments with doctors for what's supposed to actually be dual-surgery or may be triple-if another thing in my body got connected and affected by the other 2. I'm also currently at work-leave (since October) due to the war and the surgery-illness, while more arrangements for institutions for temporary unemployment conditions.
And.. I kept seeking for advice on something which terribly bothers me in editing, with some more looks at articles and the attached disgusting nasty arguments. By this many people don't follow rules by the book, that's what bothers me; the communications and personal opinions in such sensitive manners which aren't acceptable at Wikimedia, where I feel hurt even from the side and see others who participate in discussions getting hurt on both sides. I couldn't resist looking on the cell phone to just browse-read war articles while laying a lot in bed.
Besides this, also bigger pains are expected after the surgery, so I'm somewhat stressed, and a bit afraid. The surgery is on the 26th, in 4.5 days, why I also wrote I may get a Santa-visit at the hospital though I don't celebrate Christmas. :-)
I have more stuff I wanted to write about the Zohar and even the discussion on Jews which I browsed. But in the meantime, as even now I don't manage to compose these stuff, as I'm a bit tired - just wanted to already write back to you, as I felt unpleasant, started to feel a bit stressed, that I didn't get back to you the past days, especially after yesterday when I discovered you pinged me already on December 13th (as I didn't edit nor entered my account since December 11th due to those other issues). I will try to write about those other stuff before the surgery, the next days. Especially as I perfectly understand your drawing to Kabbalah which was also something I contributed in relations to Jews in an article, and as I read the Zohar and other Kabbalah books with full deep-Rabbinic interpretations of the universe-secrets codes, for several years now. So here I already shared something about this. Again, I'm sorry for the delay (I know from experience it can feel hurtful when people don't respond), please forgive me. Thank you very much for your care to see how I'm doing. And I hope you're doing well, and I'd of course also love to read if you want to tell updates about yourself with life and other stuff you're enthusiast about working or planning here. אומנות (talk) 15:12, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Hiאומנות. You don’t have to worry about offending me I know you’re unwell, so I don’t have expectations on how quickly you’ll respond. I did get worried that maybe something had happened, but I’m glad you’re (sort of) ok.
I don’t think I’ve been on Wikipedia much since I pinged you. My mom (82 and quite frail) was admitted to hospital last week. She is recovering, but the stress for me is paying for it. I don’t know how it works in Israel but the public healthcare here is very bad. So if you want to survive you need to go to private hospitals, but they’re expensive. The want ~$4000 just to let you in. My extended family did help so just today the financial side has been sorted out. But I’ve had a stressful couple of weeks.
in terms of your upcoming hospital visit, I haven’t been to hospital recently, but from past visits I know how scary they can be. I do hope it will be a better experience for you this time. And most importantly that it sorts out what’s wrong.
The one thing I do know is that you should NOT (yes I’m shouting 😀) be reading or working on Wikipedia articles that make you unhappy or angry. Wikipedia is a big hole. If you let it it will suck you in, wring out all your good emotions and make you very depressed. I don’t think you’ll listen 😃, but I’m commanding you not to read or work on anything on Wikipedia if it doesn’t bring you pleasure (at least till after your op).
in terms of Zohar I’d like your input. It scares me a bit. I’m analytical by nature, and Nusach Askenaz which is my family’s Nusach is also very emotionless and dry. So the Zohar is this bright noisy emotional thing that I can’t get my mind around. My rabbi at the moment is actually Chabad, although the shul is mainly Ashkenaz. He told me to read the Tanya first before I look at the Zohar, which is what I’ll do now that personal things are quiet.
please try to do things before the operation which bring you joy. That’s the best way to strengthen yourself. If not sooner i’ll definitely check in with you on 25/12 to wish you luck.
Be well. Ayenaee (talk) 13:58, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

BTW There should be an email available for me now (it’s not my email but does forward to me) Ayenaee (talk) 21:34, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

Ayenaee, thank you for your further kind messages and care, and I'm also very sorry to learn about your life stresses, about your mom, praise your dedicate care for her and wish her health and that you'll have easy time with your current life stuff and finding time to keep editing Wikipedia. I will try to see if your mail address works after my surgery and write there more info about Zohar, how it explains existence. Indeed through history and still by certain circles it's forbidden to read it with the deep "Peirush HaSulam" or other interpretations, and/or only when one turns 40 years old and after reading the Torah interpretations; but I still did against this thought I wasn't up to any of these 3 demands. There are also simple Kabbalah summaries by students and YouTube videos by a Rabbi explaining each page on the Zohar, which I'll send you on mail. But that depends if you have control in Hebrew. I read enough to noy understand also much of the Aramaic language and abbreviations as that's how the Zohar and many interpretation words are written. So even for Hebrew speakers this should be handled first to even understand the the simple text itself. I also started reading the "Talmud Eser Sefirot" which focuses on the universes and soul creation (while the Zohar talks about all the Torah and some other biblical books). And there's a small 6-page book from the 2nd century which is the only one describing god itself with it's all universe measurements, which is forbidden and counts as a sin by most circles, while those who adopted it wrote hundreds of pages to explain this 6 page book. For now I point here how the Zohar beginning and Talmud Eser Sefirot" addresses the spell of god's self, the Tetragrammaton, along with how all Hebrew letters mingle to create the universe, in parallel to clashes of straight and returning light lines spreading to and as endless circles which keep pushing the blackness, while this blackness was created from infinite white-light to begin with, from the basis of the self beyond the infinite-white where there is no color. That is in parallel creating the 10 god-to-soul "countings" and worlds within this clashes; and mating the male and female counts as uniting the soul with god. With all this infinite which we are nothing in comparison to - is in turn within our-selves, our soul. What most fascinates the mind is the beyond the infinite and no color in the Zohar. The most accurate descriptions to explain the unexplained; you can't comprehend infinite let alone what and how beyond it. And close your eyes, try to imagine nothing, you'll immediately see and imagine either black, white, or if you try to be smarter about this you'll imagine transparent which will look as plastic or glass with a shade of white or another color reflecting on it. We can't imagine no color. The Zohar deeply describes this with the universes pushed and explode and colorized. I'll write more neatly on mail about the first Hakdamat-HaZohar chapter which I learned deeply and summarized in simple language on just 2 pages, where I also added my descriptions and interpretations with comparisons I made to other stuff like science. It's especially a real doozy how this was written in the middle-ages or according to tradition almost 2000 years ago and resembles so much the big bang thought of only decades ago. And when 1 expression for the big bang signal is when you see "snow" on TV as endless black and white clashes... I hope everything goes smooth at my operation in few hours without much pain afterwards so I can soon mail you. Thank you again for your caring. אומנות (talk) 23:44, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
Sounds interesting I await your emails. I can read Hebrew but not Aramaic. Good luck with your operation. Don’t get back to Wikipedia to quickly afterwards - rest first. Ayenaee (talk) 00:48, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Hey :-) My surgery (and apparently six others planned that day), got postponed as someone needed an urgent transplant and it was either the only available room with machinery feat to my surgeries-combo needs, or that the whole hospital is just full because of hundreds/thousands injured now from the war. There's no new-date yet, but she said she'll do everything as they know it keeps growing and blocking my stomach and may turn to cancer later if not taken care of. The good news is that the results are benign but with pre-cancer cells. So hopefully soon, also as I have keep having some pains and almost fainted last week. I want to try the next days to handle something, especially a discussion in ARBPIA which I asked advise for. And then I also try to discuss at one of the war articles. Hope it goes calm, civil, collaborative, all that. But in parallel I'll work on sending you. In fact, since you speak Hebrew, I can also send you the 2 "Word-"document I made about the Zohar's first article (called "The Rose Article") where I translated and compare every Aramaic sentence (overall around 10 sentences) to a Hebrew sentence beneath with coloring the different letters between the 2 languages to show differences and similarities. And at the 2nd page I summarize "Peirush Hasulam" to bunch of sentences and next to it my own simpler language and other ancient and modern phenomena comparisons ideas. :-) And please let me know when you get available how you're doing and if your mom is doing fine. אומנות (talk) 10:48, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
A pity about the op being cancelled. The explanation is reasonable, but you need to be taken care of soon. Pre-cancerous is good (weirdly enough) as long as the take care of it soon.
My mother’s ok. She has gallstone in her gallbladder which is infected. They’re trying to treat that with antibiotics. Once it settles they’ll try to get the stone out through key-hole surgery.
I agree that some editing will take your mind of other things. Just be careful when editing war articles. Several people on both sides have just been topic ban from I-R articles for 3 months. This should calm things down, but there are still hotheads around. As long as you edit based on resources, and don’t get baited into arguing you should be fine.
Looking forward too your material. I won’t be able to read it quickly though. I like, editing brachot because it forces me to read Torah, Talmud etc. properly and I learn things, but I haven’t been able to do,that for days because of responding to AfD’s on war articles. That and real life are keeping me too busy. But it’s all good I suppose.
Cheers Ayenaee (talk) 19:36, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
Hey, I'm looking for the Zohar file on my computer, for few days I had some more arrangements of work payment stuff and still finalizing on getting last advises in regards to something I wanna edit and discuss on Wikipedia. I'm sorry your mom is going through these infections, thank you very much for sharing, and I hope the antibiotics will make the job quickly, and that her surgery comes very soon and goes smoothly-quick for her complete healing afterwards.
Mine is eventually scheduled to the end of January. I saw the Wiki TBans for several people, and I wish to see levelness between editors sanctions there. And while unfortunate, and as you say, might make it calmer meanwhile to suggest something I see a big issue with for about 2 months now nearly since Hamas attack. I'll keep cool, I always try to be kindest when discussing and also be mindful in my edit summaries. If someone's get heated, I'll explain it doesn't feel pleasant and keep focus on the subject. If it continues, then I'll see if needs a more blunt direct reaction in turn but still within decorum.
And thank you for your quick responses while I see here from your replies you're much more active with your literally BLESSED edits and maybe also more busy in life at the moment. I'm sorry as I also wanted before (and didn't get to it) to address that the situation here is mostly health-insurance once you register for small payments every month to a certain such care-agency (and social care stuff) which covers most healthcare and operations as the ones I need. It also covers of course Israeli Arabs and people in certain Palestinian territories areas, if relating also to the conflict. I'm sorry to learn you needed to pay 4000$, and glad to know you got it covered eventually.
I also wanted to say for sometime, that I read back then your discussion at "Jews" - very interesting stuff from all involved there especially from you about the Magen David origins and as for the snails-color - I was interested for many years to read about places which mentioned the production of the royal red-Argaman and blue colors from them, especially as I read a lot about Rosh Hanikra on Israel-Lebanon border with many ancient small pools carved in the rocks for steaming-water to produce salt and for snails-catching via tide waves locking them in these pools in order to make those colors. I started reading a lot about this area as it's the only place in Israel who has small islands 1 kilometer from the shore which were part of the land until thousands of years ago until there lower parts got eaten by he salty water and reduced to below the sea. There's One Island I know which also has those carved pools; the only one which is allowed to access, as the other 4-5 islands are nature reserves for birds nesting.
I wanted to go to Rosh Hanikra precisely now at winter to see the very strong waves hitting the white cliff and also sleep there for 1 night, as I had a concept of first seeing the area only in the dark with hearing the strong winter waves, like in dramatic cahos-feel, then in the morning stroll along this area's shore-rocks with also shallow natural water-pools, to see this area's strong winter waves and streams. And then come again in the spring or summer to see the flora and the animals there (like rock rabbits) and the sunset which from pictures looks like the most beautiful sunset sight in Israel. And finally learn about the ancient human history and modern one in the attractions offered there. And finally-finally - do already sky-diving which I want for years, which is offered in this area, above it.
Eventually, the cards weren't dealt well this time with my surgery and the war while precisely now this area had been evacuated and heavily bombed by Lebanon. Also several years ago, I wanted to organize a 1-2 day-trip for the Hebrew Wikipedia travel project "Elef Milim" (to take and upload photos to Wiki-commons), which was organized by an editor who was a good friend and work college of mine ( a job which he got for me!), who passed away few months ago. He even organized one international-Wikimania event and was heavily involved in all Wikimedia events.
So, I wanted back then to organize a trip to a place next to Egypt's border with beautiful Red-Brown mountains (close to Eilat city), then "Isis" took control in Sinai-peninsula next to Israel's border so that area also became dangerous and forbidden. Maybe I bring junks that every place I'm locked on a place to travel in Israel gets terrorized... Here's hoping that in the end everything will work out fine here and to go back to enjoy life for everyone in this area.
As you see, I like the concept of genesis-creation order (from light through water, land, animals, to humans) and like to learn about the beginning of things and mystic feeling around them, why the Zohar and Kabbalah and f course the bible fascinates me, and history in general. I will now try to send you just a "hi" test-mail to see if you have received it. Just a note from recent experience, when I send you another reply after you answer (which I do another "hi" test), my address is under something like "Music Nature videos" as it got automatically named after my YT account once I conjured this mail with the account there, so you know it's not an advertisement or something, but moi. אומנות (talk) 23:19, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I’ve archived the previous part of this discussion, it was taking over the page :). Your mail test did work and I responded. My mom is now back home and feeling better. She’s still suffering from old age, but she’s not in pain anymore. They decided not to operate because everything settled down, but it’s still an option. I agreed because any surgery could be dangerous at her age and low level of health. Thanks for your good wishes.
Since the Hamas attack there has been a lot of unpleasantness around the Israel-Palestine articles. The atmosphere is toxic which is why I advise anyone going through something emotional IRL to avoid them - what Wikipedia says is less important than anyone’s health (the subject is important, but I think people overestimate the impact that Wikipedia has). The 3-month banning is very unusual. I have great difficulty not responding to every negative change I see, but I realised quickly that I had to conserve my scarce time and emotional resources to only work/react to a small number of articles, whatever was happening elsewhere.
I’m wiki-overwhelmed now because all three war articles which were open for AfD (Holit, Netiv HaAsara, and Nir Yitzhak massacres) have been closed as keep. In my keep !vote, I did analysis of sources to show that all three were notable, but I also agreed that they could be expanded and I would do that. So now I have 3 articles to expand significantly. I’ve worked on Nir Yitzhak for four days now (when I had time) and I’m still not finished. As I think I said before, this isn’t what I want to do on Wikipedia, but I feel obligated to save these kinds of articles. If you look at the Nir Yithak talk page you’ll see that I tried to reach out to those who wanted the deletion to be involved in the expansion. I’m sure you won’t be happy with that, but it was my attempt to calm the emotions. You don’t need to be worried because I haven’t received any response. Oh well, at least I tried.
I did swim in the Red Sea decades ago (I visited Israel twice when I was a teenager) but otherwise I don’t know the areas you mention. They sound worth visiting when you can. And no, you wanting to go there didn’t cause any attacks :).
Stay safe. Ayenaee (talk) 09:43, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Well done

Your work on the October 7 attack pages is very good, and I really appreciate you keeping them from being deleted. 80.217.100.31 (talk) 22:25, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi 66.44.95.66. Thank you for the offer, but I decline. Vigorous editorial debate is a necessary part of the wiki editing process. This shouldn’t be perceived as personal. An editor who displays anti-anything behavior including personal attacks is weeded out by that same process. If you are researching Wikipedia for journalistic or academic purposes (which is welcomed), I suggest that a more fruitful approach would be to register an account under a username where you declare your affiliations and goals. Then use that account to learn the editing policies and guidelines and to edit the wiki yourself. This will help you understand how the editing process works. The responses you have received at this IP user’s talk page to your attempts at editing, don’t inspire confidence that such a constructive approach has been taken. If you need assistance in understanding how the process works while taking this approach, I and most longer term editors are more than willing to provide that help if asked. Good luck.
