Black seminoles has been moved to Black Seminoles. utcursch | talk 10:48, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
I gladly award you the Exceptional Newcomer Award for your incredible first article, Black Seminoles.--Pharos 00:55, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You have had a truly excellent start at Wikipedia, and I recognize this in giving you the Exceptional Newcomer Award. I look forward greatly to your future contributions.--Pharos 00:55, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, I am moved. Thanks, Pharos. You've inspired me to create a few more articles. Austinbirdman 13:33, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent work on that article. It is quite appreciated. JesseW, the juggling janitor 00:42, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
Let me second, er...third...that: Great work! I hope that you'll eventually turn your talents to revising and expanding the Second Seminole War. The meager article we have now does not do justice to such an important historical event, and you seem like just the person to fix it. --Kevin Myers 18:45, September 11, 2005 (UTC)
A fine, fine article. Many of my contributions here at Wikipedia have been in history, but I've never written an article as good. I do hope you'll continue to contribute, and let me join the applause for what you've done so far. Thank you! :) Cheers, Madmagic 00:44, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Black Seminoles, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently-created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Oil&gas giantsNov07.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:27, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Black-sem-1st-war.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 19:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Black Seminoles for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. —Mattisse (Talk) 17:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:John-horse-black-sem.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:John-horse-black-sem.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:48, 1 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. File permission problem with File:Map-black-sem-odyssey.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Map-black-sem-odyssey.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 02:32, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
